Makes a somewhat complicated topic easy to read and easy to change your life!

I’ve read other more complicated books on the subject of fear of prospecting, but this book is the best and easiest to understand the “why” and take corrective action. If you have experienced the paralyzing effect of your thoughts telling you why you shouldn’t pick up the phone, or why someone won’t be interested in what you have to offer, or other limiting belief, this book is for you. The author describes what’s happening in your mind with a simple explanation using science, what it means, how to apply it, (using examples from his own experience), and ends with a totally different spiritual explanation that I can see is hard to disprove. Not the kind of book to read one time and put on your shelf. I will review all of my highlighted sections ( most of the book by the way), and finally start the prospecting I knew I should be doing… This book is like someone turning on the light in the room after years of me talking about doing so. Sounds silly except to those people affected by this limiting belief. Definitely a “10”!

This book could have been a blog post, such as a lot of american essays.
As a sales person sometimes I deal with lack of enthusiasm and self doubt and I think this is quite normal when you call a bunch of prospects and just a small percentage wants to start a conversation and another small percentage, buy your product service.
This book taught me this is actually normality and sales is about creating relationships, which is kinda what I always thought but sometimes we as human need to see our believes shared by someone else to feel they're actually true.
If you have something valuable to offer and you are genuinely curious to understand your prospect's problems and situation, probably not now, but in the future, they will come back and say: "Hey, now I need you".
Sales is a process, not an end.

The unique part I disliked (for my own personal believes, I have to admit) is all the spiritual part the author propose to the reader as a mid to overcome the call reluctance.

Sidney writes from experience, since he's been in the trenches and knows the challenges we face in the field of sales and marketing.

I was impressed with how Sidney related his past experiences to what I have encountered n my own challenges.
He was dead on with everything I have experienced in my career in direct sales and marketing. A very informative and inspiring book. I fully and completely recommend this book to anyone in this business.

Love the God Selection Process!

I just finished the book, so I haven't had a chance to implement any of the tactics. But I love the idea of the God Selection Process! This concept flipped my mindset upside down on a number of areas of my life, and I already feel much more hopeful!

If you are in sales this book is something to keep in your tool box. Lots of techniques to use. Gets into how your ego interferes with your thought process and how to recognized this.

Sidney Walker’s has great advice and approaches for how to get past the fear of sales calls and self promoting in order to help grow your sales or business. As someone who has worked in sales as well as trained many others in the field, he has learned both what works for him as well as other approaches and skills that have helped his students become more skilled and effective at calls and prospecting. I think that because the book has several different techniques, it really helps create a strong overall outlook. You can try different ideas and see what works best for your own personality and professional situation, which was really helpful. I personally liked the chapter that focused on sales philosophy and changing the mindset from being a client controller to a relationship builder, and how such a fundamental change in viewing sales and how you communicate with a prospective client can make the process much more approachable and less restrictive.

Delivered a good amount of insight and ideas I was not expecting from a smaller book. Sidney gets his points across to you clearly. His perspective on the ego and how it interferes with our success more often than it helps us, makes perfect sense. Worth reading for sure if you get on the phone to generate business.

Confidence inspiring.

Sid knows his stuff. Read several of his books before. I have a terrible challenge with salesmen call reluctance and public speaking at seminars.Sid does a stellar job providing the tools and encouragement to want to overcome the impediments to getting the job done. The inclusion of G-d as part of the success process, to me was inspiring and masterful.

Great Book

As I read the book I intuitively felt a flow, a desire to ramp up my prospecting calls. A must read for anyone dealing with call reluctance.
