Despite not being the same kind of wolf, they love each other and true mates Tabitha and Finn get a HEA on the run.
Part of the multi-author Bite of the Moon Collection of paranormal romances, Preferred Prey', the first book in Erika Masten's new series Sons of Fenris MC and I was given a copy in exchange for an honest review. I love Erika's books and was captured by this action packed story on the very first page. I really didn't want to put it down.
Tabitha Vallins, a latent wolf who wants to be turned into a full shifter, finally decides to brave Skin, the strip club where the Sons of Fenris hang out where she's been working as a server for the last three weeks. Mick Lebeau, the alpha of the SoF decides that she needs to be bitten by Finn McCaffrey, her first crush. The boy who'd taken care of her and protected her through group homes and foster care for ten years, but there is already a bond and if he does, they will be mated. But things aren't quite as straightforward as they seem and trouble is just around the corner.
With the promise of a new and happier life ahead of them, true mates Finn, a Fenris wolf and Tabitha, an Odin's wolf go on the run with the help of Garik, Eli and the underground railway for shape-shifters and other super-naturals. A happily ever after with a difference. I loved it and can't wait for the next one.

What a wonderful and suspenseful story.
Tabitha wants very badly to be able to shift, so she tries to get close to a notorious wolf pack, what she didn't counted on was getting knocked on her butt by her past and man did that past look good.
Finn has been able to forget his childhood sweetheart after 4 years of not seeing her, but at the price of turning into a total a**. But now right in his face and then looking up at him is the cause of the change in him and everything comes rushing back. He ran from her trying to protect her and here she was again in his life.
Will these two souls give in to the attraction that never really ended that night that he ran from her?
Very suspenseful, it kept me glued to the story from beginning to end. I hope to read more of this story in the future. I would also like to read more about Garik and Rachel.

Great Story and Characters Tabitha is a latent wolf. She’s tired of not truly being able to defend herself against men so she decides to take a job at a bar “owned” by the Sons of Fenris, a local MC and wolf pack. When the pack leader finally takes an interest in her, Tabitha rethinks her decision and goes to leave when she literally runs into Finn, her childhood protector and the man who broke her heart.
This was a really fast-paced, quick read. I couldn’t stop once I started reading it. The more I’m reading MC books, the less I like the genre, but not true with this one. I enjoyed the two main characters and can’t wait to read more from this author.

Make her a wolf and she’d stop being prey to the world and its whims. 5 GOLD WOLVES
He had no control with her and damn sure no control over her. HOLY FRACK! What a FANGTASTICALLY raw, primal, gritty, sexy, tantalizing WOLFTASTIC story! It is so dark & powerful but loving in its own way. Just like Finn. Tabitha is pretty much the opposite...in her own way. :) Yes, I know that might not make sense to you now, but after you read this book - and you have to read this book! - it will make sense. I love how Erika made these wolves all her own and in so many uniquely FURRIFIC ways! There are different types of wolves, with different abilities, histories, etc., but having the mythological aspect added in shaping these wolves.. WOLFTACULAR! TRULY SHIFTACULAR! I was consumed by the FUROCIOUSNESS and intensity of this fast & hard impact story! I madly read this book from start to finish in one go, or at least I tried! I kept having to go back and re-read things because I was so “OMG! What’s gonna happen?” that I kept reading as fast as I could, but then had to make myself slow down and go back and start that scene/page/chapter over to find out how they got to that point! That is just HOW FANGTABULOUS this story is!!! I wasn’t sure what was going to happen first – my tablet would melt or my tablet would crack from me clenching it so tightly! Thankfully, neither happened. While there a couple of times I would have liked it to PAWSE for a sec so I could catch my breath and maybe one or two scenes expanded on a bit, you cannot deny the pull of this intoxicating Wolf Tail! I have a feeling that this is one larger story line that will continue in the book(s) to come, and odds are “my information” will be in those books! Now I just have to wait for them to come out! Just like an Alpha Wolf, this will have you hot & bothered, panting, gasping & wet, wondering WTF just happened in ALL OF THE MOST WOLFELICIOUS WAYS PAWSSIBLE! While this is my first Erika Masten book, I guaran-damn-tee it is NOT the last! With the way that she grabbed my attention from the teaser in her newsletter, to the way she held me captive in those powerful Alpha jaws of a story, I can't help but be wowed & blown away by Erika's tremendous amount of talent! I cannot wait to get caught up on her books while waiting for the next Sons of Fenris book to come out.

Tabitha just wants to be safe and really matter to someone. She spent years in foster care with only one protector, Finn. When he disappeared four years ago, she lost the only person that mattered to her. He almost killed her but it doesn't stop her from seeking out a very dangerous group and exploring the information he shared before he abandoned her.
The Fenris Wolves pretend to be a motorcycle club (Sons of Fenris) and not a pack of werewolves looking for prey. They like to have others fear them and women serve their needs. Tabitha catches the attention of their alpha and learns Finn is one of them. The alpha decides that Finn is the one to give her the bite and make her one of their kind.
Finn doesn't want to become attached to Tabitha again. Caring about anyone is dangerous and can be used against him. He still has those protective feelings for her so he has to fight himself and the desire he feels for her. It is not easy to resist her and keep her safe from danger.
I enjoy MC romances and shifters so it is a perfect match for me. Finn is supposed to be the pretty boy of the club and has to prove himself a lot to get respect. He has suffered and lost those he loved and feels it is safer to be alone. He has a very tender spot in his heart for Tabitha who he protected in foster care. Finn does not approve of a lot of the activities the club is involved in and doesn't hide his disrespect for the leadership even if it would be easier to pretend. Tabitha wants protection so badly that she risks her life to get it. She fights her own instincts and puts herself at the mercy of those who are much more dangerous than the humans she encountered.
I enjoyed the story of these two people finding their way back together. The stories is a pretty quick read and keeps your interest. I did feel like the ending was a little abrupt and would have liked an epilogue a few months later showing how they were doing. There is a lot more in store for them all.

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review. Tabitha is a latent wolf shifter in search of the bite that will complete her shift. She is also in search of the man that told her of her true nature, the man that was her first love, the man that tried to kill her. Finn is a Fenris Wolf, motorcycle club scout, and Tabitha's mate. The two met while in foster care as children and Finn watched out for and took care of Tabitha, until his shifted for the first time and became a danger to Tabitha. Four years later, Tabitha shows up in Fenris territory looking for the club and looking for Finn. Tabitha mistakenly thinks getting the bite to unleash her wolf will give her the power and strength to overcome her former demons and be able to take care of herself. When she comes under the attention of the Sons of Fenris pack and the alpha, Mick she bolts. Yet, when she comes face to face with Finn and he acts as if he doesn't know her she goes back in and steps into trouble.Mick orders Finn to bite Tabitha and Finn absolutely refuses, he knows what it will mean for her and tries to avoid her at all costs. But his willpower soon gives out and he gives her the bite she has been wanting all this time. And then he runs off. Men, just can't make up their minds. This story is kind of dark, with the roughness of the bikers and talks of the beastly nature of Fenris wolves. But its pretty good, could have been a bit longer, it was over as soon as things got interesting. It was a twist when Finn realized she was an Odin wolf not Fenris, I thought he would have tried to get her away from Mick and the pack but since they mated that wasn't really an option.

This is the 1st book in the Sons of Fenris MC series. They are expected to each stand alone.
In the fashion of Romeo and Juliet, Tabitha and Finn have been raised in the foster system. Though devoted to one another, they don’t realize that their families would never have approved of their union. Tabitha is an Odin werewolf who has never shifted. Finn, her protector and lover, had nearly killed her four years ago when he first shifted as a Son of Fenris. Then he left her.
Don’t allow this to be your first MC book or your first werewolf/shifter book. You would be lost to the things that are accepted standards within these tropes. On the other hand, if you are not a novice, grab it!
Tabitha is far from a damsel in distress, even if she has had a rough upbringing and early adulthood. Finn is doing his best to protect her, even now, even if he has to protect her from him. Sigh! Smile!! Yes, I loved these two together.
I loved this story. Though it stands completely on its own, there is a large opening to continue on with the rest of the MC and this world that has been built. Excellently written with some twists that still have me trying to catch my breath! Unfortunately, I don’t see that Ms. Masten has continued the series. I can only hope for some time in the future.

First in the new Sons of Fenris MC series and I was given a copy in exchange for an honest review.
Tabitha is a wolf who hasn't yet shifted. She wants to be a full shifter and does what every girl in this situation would do - heads to the strip club where the strongest pack hangs out. It's a bonus that Finn, who she knew from the foster system is part of the pack. Mick Lebeau, the alpha declares that Finn must turn her, it's part of his duties after all and it will cement his loyalty to the pack.
Finn recognises Tabitha and can't believe she wants to join this pack, their not choirboys and he really doesn't want her subjected to this life! But Finn realises that Tabitha is a different type of wolf and if he brings her wolf she may just get herself killed. He calls on a friend to help and then the action really heats up!
Will the Odin's wolves be able to help Tabitha? Will Mick realise what kind of wolf she is and put her down before she has a chance to join the pack?
I loved this book. The whole "underground railway" for supernaturals was a novel approach to solving problems in the wolf community. Finn is a great guy and all he really wants is Tabitha to be safe. Tabitha is feisty and timid all at the same time! She knows what she wants but she doesn't think through all that comes with turning wolf. I'm not really a fan of MC books but this was an awesome read!!!!

I was gifted this book for an honest review. Great Story
Tabitha Vallins and Finn McCaffrey's both werewolf shifters, though Tabbitha is latent, Finn has shifted, she just don't know it. They grew up in the foster care system, Finn as her protector since she was shy and alone. When friendship turns to more, and 1 night ends with Tabbitha almost being strangled by Finn. His wolf came out and he almost killed her in the heat of passion so he leaves and never returns.

Sound good? It really is a great story!!! It was so good I even bought it afterwards to support the author.

This is a hot and steamy romance that can't be put down until the last page. Tabitha is determined to go from latent wolf to a full wolf shifter she has had a tough life being abused as she was kicked from one foster home to another the only thing that made is bearable was her protector Finn. But when Finn turned into a wolf shifter he almost killed Tabitha accidentally so to protect her he ran leaving her heart broken, scared but alive. Now in order to become a full she wolf shifter she is working at the strip club were the Sons of Fenris Wolves hang out waiting for Finn to appear so that he will see she is a latent wolf and she can convince him to finally turn her into a full wolf shifter. Finn sees Tabitha and he still desires her but his first thought is to run again as fast as he can to once again protect her from himself. However the President of the SoF's sets down the order that Finn is to deliver the bite to turn Tabitha, so now Fin maybe forced to kill her if the change goes wrong no matter how much he loves her. Then on top of everything else that Finn is facing there is someone hiding in the back who has watched Tabitha for years and wants her for his on purposes. Hang on for a fast paced, sexy story with plenty of twists and turns to keep you on the edge of your seat and your pulse pounding as you fan yourself from all of the hot steamy sexy romance.

Wow! This book is intense to the point that you simply don't want it to end. Author Erika Masten has given us the beginning to what I believe will be one of the best series out there, combining shifters and MC's into one badass story. She has continued upon the feud of the Fenris and Odin wolves, and added a wonderful twist to it, as lusciously curvy Tabitha finally finds the man/wolf she's been looking for for the past four years, ever since he left her with too many questions and no answers. Finn has been running from Tabitha, trying to save her from the demons that haunt him daily. He knows she's a latent she-wolf, and the consequences that they would both have to face if he was to bite her and turn her.
Packed full of lots of action, a bit of suspense, high emotions, a bit of pain and lots of loving, this book could be considered a standalone, but I imagine that it is the beginning of something great. The characters are intriguing and grab your attention and your heart, dragging you along for one hell of a ride. Great book and can't wait for the next part of this saga.

This has everything I look for in my paranormal adventures – angst, unrequited love, danger, betrayal, suspense and even more than I knew I was looking for. Erika Masten has hit all the hot buttons for me. Hot Alphas, eroticism…I love it. You get to meet Finn…our hero, and Tabitha, our unlikely heroine. These two grew up in the foster care system together and became so much more than friends. When Tabitha needs her wolf to come forward, because she is a latent, she goes to the SONS OF FENRIS MC. It’s all mixed up with mythology wA must read.hich you will learn during reading. Finn has told her she is a latent and a Fenris-or so he thinks. When he learns she is an ODIN’S WOLF instead he needs to get her some help and fast. What he doesn’t plan on is her being captured. He has to figure out by who and why to save her. Wow, I have gained several new author favs from Bite Of The Moon authors and Erika Masten is one of them. I read some of the reviews, not wanting to copy their adjectives--But doggone! (no pun intended) There are so many used that I'm not sure there are any news ones and they are each and every one deserved.
Finn is a Badboy god. She knew him before and his violence scared her, but she is back. Danger haunts her and she needs to complete the change to were wolf shifter and she needs Finn, but she's not willing to admit it to him. Their interactions are hot, and emotional.
This is a read that gives it all, PRN, steam, steam, steam, danger, loyalty, and just about any other adjective you can add that means this is a hot great book you can't miss.
It is a stand alone book with a complete ending you will love and not only will this go in your great books file it will be a re-read and soon book as well.

Tabitha working in the strip club as a waitress, it wasn't her dream job. Getting close to the sons of Ferris was what she was looking to do. Seeing Finn McCaffrey again, not that she wasn't sure if it was a good thing or not. He was a first everything, then he was gone after that night when his change came upon him and he almost killed her. Finn never thought he would see Tabitha again. It hurt him to leave her, but he had to do it. Caring for someone made you vulnerable. Now here she is a latent wolf shifter looking to get bite so she can shift. Things weren't as easy as she convinced herself they would be.
Fast paced story with lots of twists and turns. Tabitha was smart, even though she didn't know as much as she thought she did about the wolves and put herself in danger. Finn found himself pulled toward Tabitha again. He knew she was his mate but never wanted to claim her and put her in danger. This is the first time in reading this author for me and even though I see alot that it says she is erotic author, I like she has a story to go with it. This is also alittle different than most because it has a flavor of paranormal, biker, mixed with that. One thing I do know is that this one was a raw, passionate mixed with drama paranormal. Her characters I came to adore, first with the boldness of Tabitha whom finally sees him too-Finn. When she announces to the club's alpha and president that she knows they know what she is and she wants to be their type of wolf, oh boy she will get a whole different reality than what she thought. When Finn realizes just exactly what more there is to Tabitha he does what he must. The only thing I disagreed with where he was concerned he should of been more up front with her at times. Rich story with a couple of unexpected events with when you reach the end you might find yourself whining like I did that it was not longer.

Tabitha has had a life of foster homes and being abused. Finn was there, always saving her. He was her's and she was his until 4 years ago and he disappeared after revealing something that led her on her pursuit. She decided to seek out the Fenris Motorcycle Club (Biker gang)...She thinks that with their help she can finally be able to protect herself and never have to run away again.... However, little did she know what she was asking and what she gets herself into and that it would lead to finding Finn again.
This book is full of twists and turns you wont expect. The characters are all very well developed and believable. This story isn't your typical wolf shifter story. You will understand why Tabitha feels about Finn, I think most women would love to have a Finn too!

This is a dark and gritty novel based in the world of the Sons of Fenris. The story will quickly grab your attention and keep you reading. Tabitha grew up in foster care, often in abusive homes. Finn was her protector, and she has held deep feelings for him all these years later; he has them for her as well. Tabitha seeks out the MC to get someone to turn her into a full werewolf. Finn knows what she is trying to do and doesn't want to help her but deep down he does There are ramifications to changing Tabitha that she doesn't fully understand. Finn will do what he can to try and protect both Tabitha and himself.
Full of interesting and diverse characters, this story will entertain. This is an intriguing start to a new series.

This was an interesting read, and well written. I liked Tabitha, and I admit Finn took some for me to warm up to, but I did like him by the end of the book. My only issue with the book, and the reason for the three stars, is that I didn't really care for the fact that Finn had nearly killed Tabitha in the past. That just bothered me. But that's just me, if it doesn't bother you, then you'll probably really like the book.

This book is not your usual shape Shifter romance, but it is very enjoyable to read. Tabitha is a spitfire, latent werewolf, that has grown up in the foster system. Finn, who also grew up in the foster system with Tabitha, used to always be her protector, but he is now part of a werewolf Biker club or gang, that is not known for niceness. Tabitha walks right up to the president of the club and asks to be changed. If she is not one of their kind, and is bitten though, then it would kill her, or she could just be made one of the club's whores. This book has lots of action and suspense, as well as some really hot, sizzling sexual chemistry. This is a standalone book. I received this book for free, in return for an honest review. Great book, Erika Masten! I highly recommend it.

Aw, man... I'm hovering between a 3 and a 5 star rating for this book... It's too good to be so damn short. Yes, there are some seriously awkwardly worded sentences, but the tone and the story are soooo good! It needed more! So much happened off the page that I wanted to read! It'd get to something good and then BAM, it's days later and all the good stuff has happened already! I don't know if that was because it HAD to be a short story, or if the author just got lazy, but I feel it really does a disservice to the story. WE WANT TO READ THOSE SCENES! Please write them and re-release this book!!!! It's just different enough from all these "made mates" and "kidnapping" books to finally spark my interest again!! Sigh...

In Tabitha’s case it’s to find the one love of her life (Finn) that abandoned her four years ago and become a werewolf who never needs anyone else’s protection again. Unfortunately Finn is not the man she remembers, nor is joining the gang/pack what she expects. And if the treat of dying before, during, or after being turned isn’t enough stress, there are more players and games neither Finn nor Tabitha expect that could mean death or worse for both of them. Great story with exciting plot and meaningful characters that bring the story to life. BOTM is an awesome collection and this is another outstanding example!

Tabitha is waitressing at Skin to get close to The Sons of Fate. Finn is a scout of The Sons of Fate and spends most of his time on the road. The Sons of Fate are led by an alpha with a bad streak and it's they're the sort of people Tabitha should not be getting involved with.
This book can be read as a standalone but it helps if you have read some of Erika's other books to get an understanding of her wolf world. Tabitha is a strong woman set in her determination to create the future for herself she wants. Finn is so determined to deny his feelings he can't see what's right in front of him. This story is a fast read and packs a punch.

Crazy twist and darkly addictive romance
Tabitha and Finn will make you forget you have other things to do. I was so hung up in their story that I felt like I was in it. Tabitha is trying to be more than a void in life and tries to follow Finn into the MC life, even though it's full of misogyny and violence. They have a history and the backstory was revealed almost unconsciously so it didn't muck up the present at all. You are going to hate Mick. He's vile. The emotional back and forth that Finn puts Tabitha through will make you wonder what she sees in him but it works. Their chemistry is wickedly hot but he's kind of a jerk. I really enjoyed reading this and hope there's make 're to come!

On the way to finding what she wants she finds out what and who she really is, but not in a good way. Chasing something while inadvertently being coveted is a hard lesson learn, the trap is in place. Yet the kill or be killed mentality just isn't there for her. All she want is answers from someone who left her behind. She finds more than she bargains for and less answers than she had hoped.
Truly and intense and wild adventure of finding a way out of the danger not only from ignorantly walking into but the one lurking in the shadows.
