Re-reading the ENTIRE series again after completing "The Pearl Brooch." ;)

This compelling, re-read in this time traveling/romance series was set in London during WWII. David McBain, our hero, has been a key player in the previous books and I couldn't wait for his book. This is an edge of your seat, page turner. It was fabulous!

I followed Ms. Lowry Logan on Facebook when she was doing her meticulous research as she personally traveled to each location she mentions in this book. That "hands on" research was evident in her accurate and exacting research which was translated and transitioned beautifully into the story. It also added to the excitement and anticipation as I originally awaited the book. The author certainly did not let me down.

I love this series and the characters the author has created. Re-visiting with many of the characters from the previous books is like meeting up with old friends.

I simply loved it and encourage everyone who loves time travel to start at the beginning with "The Ruby Brooch" and continue to read ALL the books in this wonderful series. Onto the next re-read up next in the series, "The Broken Brooch." ;)

This is the 4th book in this series:

David, Kenzie and Cav's story.

The time is set in WWII , week of D-Day and the present. The story is about people we know and new ones we meet.

Kenzie's adventure draws you in right from the start. The experiences and her destiny take you on a very fun, sad, scary, and romantic ride.

David, is trying to save another woman in trouble. Will he loose his heart again and fall in love with someone else's soulmate? Will he be to late to save her, will he be able to let her go?

Cav, a fighter pilot in the war, and Kenzie hit it off at once. Is he the man that she wants forever. Is Cav why the Emerald Brooch sent her back to this time?

The story is a page turner and moves along quickly. You feel like you are living the events in real life.

This was an exciting new Brooch book that sticks with you long after you end it.

The writer has done her research well on this story and brings you interesting details that make the story so real.

I was asked to read this exciting book and I am giving an honest review.

If I haven't mentioned it before (even though I KNOW I have), I LOVE these books!!!! This was another whirlwind trip through time, with a history lesson, and some special quirks to make this another best seller!!! Ms. Logan does an incredible job with building her characters, and creating a story that is just impossible to put down!!! When I'm reading her stories, I get as lost in time as her heroes and heroines!!! Cannot wait to start #5!!

Probably 3.5 stars.

Time travel to WW II. There were a couple parts, later in the book, where things got a bit confused. I thought the writing for this story was a bit more tired than the previous three books. I still liked the story and the characters enough to look for following books in this series.

Love all the history!

I absolutely adore historical fiction and this is definitely my new favorite series! I was really excited to hear David's story. He deserved to find true love and move on from Charlotte. I love Kenzie! She is stubborn, but I'm glad she was defiant and persistent. Cav was amazing and I couldn't believe the connection between them. It was definitely a surprise. The WWII era is my grandparents generation. It's so interesting to experience what it was like to live then and understand what makes that generation tick. The only disappointment is that I feel there wasn't enough to the romance between David and Kenzie. I feel everyone else in the series got their romance, but this was rushed and ended abruptly. We're back, we have a quickie, I confess everything, you dismiss me, we make up...the end. Charlotte and Braham had a 4 part story and David and Kenzie's ends as soon as they get back. It gave me major whiplash. I would have loved to have gotten more romance and courting between the couple. Other than that, the story was amazing and I loved it!

Purchased on a Whim.....Forever Grateful

This is book four. I've not read books one thru three or any other books by this author before now BUT I'll be purchasing them tonight. I bought this book due to a Facebook suggestion because it contained time travel & Scotland. My two favorite story lines that can so easily be a let down.

But this book? What I got was a fabulously well written, chocked full of delicious details & historical tidbits, pleasure to read. Yes, it is that good. Yes, you will enjoy it & Yes, you will need, not want to read more by Katherine Lowry Logan. You can thank me later.

Can’t get enough

I love the story of Kenzie and David! It was great to see him find love after Charlotte. Wow! Loved the revelation at the end…. so great!

Your story reminds me of Dan Brown’s novels. I think you both should write something together. You both do extensive research and the twist and turns are amazing.

I would love to see one of your books as a movie… they are movie quality and quite unique involving the brooches. This reader is obsessed with your books. In fact I just started a reader’s club in Puerto Rico where I live now. I wish to purchase all your books. On to book 5!

Some people love to binge watch TV series, I love to binge read books by authors that I come to love with their first book and that is what I have done with the Celtic Brooch Series, and Book 4 was no different.

If you love time travel books as I do, then this series will captivate you. Each book has been well researched as to the time it pertains to and the characters all have their problems because of the period of time they are sent to.

This author is a new one for me and I love her writings!

Slow start

The author seems to be getting into a habit of very lengthy introductions and story set ups. This pass book is pretty complex, pulling in most of the characters from the first three books in this series. I understand the drive to be explicit in details but in this case this reader feels the author violates the " show don't tell" rule.
Overall, I love the premise and hero and heroine. I would have liked it more had the story had a faster pace.

The Emerald Brooch is a different kind of Love Story

This book was very interesting to me because my Father was in WWII and was stationed in England. Everything was told in so much detail. The Kenzie and David part of the story made me stay up too late to find out what was happening next. Loved this story!!

The Emerald Brooch

This is one of those books you just can't put down. Not always pleasant, I could have done without the torture scenes, but life is not always a bowl of cherries. The aurthor was so good that could fee the horror. The long list of characters was confusing, but after the first book, they grow on you.

Loved it!

David McBain- from Scotland was in the military
Kenzie- west point grad
I enjoyed reading this intriguing suspenseful story that is fantastically written with vibrant characters. They both met in London 1944, it was fascinating and "scary " how everything worked out. Their story has a wonderful/amazing HEA!

As with the other three books in this series I've read, this is the story of two soul mates meeting. In this book, Kenzie goes back in time to May of 1944. David and Jack go back to rescue her. She and David fall in love. All return to their own time and the book ends on a happy note. I enjoy these books and look forward to reading the rest of the series.

Vocal artist Teri Schnaubelt did another great job. So may characters and accents. 10 Stars out of 5.

Love this series. Of all the books in the series so far this was my least favorite mainly because of the time period (World War II). Love the characters and how each book intertwines their lives and adds more family to the ever growing McKlenna Family tree. Was happy to read that there are more than 3 brooches, looking forward to more stories in this series.

This one took me awhile to get through, not sure why. David is one of my favourite characters so it was nice to see him fall in love. I didn’t like that it took until the second last chapter for them to come together though. It would have been nice to spend some time with the couple together. In short, better than the last book but nowhere near as good as the Ruby Brooch.

I thought this was an interesting approach to the time travel theme as it was set in a more modern era than many. Most I have read have gone back to much earlier times, 200 years or more. The characters were just complicated enough to keep it from becoming mundane and I am looking forward to reading more in the series.

Fabulous

What can I say? Absolutely fabulous. All the mis-haps and turns, I couldn’t keep them straight. I love the way everyone gathers around and supports each other in this series. When there’s a need or someone needs help one or all comes. So awesome! I’m off to read book 5. I just can’t get enough.
Warning: DO NOT DISTURB! 😉

The books are glorious!

Rarely have I enjoyed a series so thoroughly. Each book is unique unto itself yet the bringing in of different characters from prior adventures adds so much. At first I didn’t think anything could match the Civil War adventures of The Sapphire Brooch but this book was a fascinating look at England during the war. Really a fine book!

Sighhhh. Yet another wonderful book

I loved getting to know more and deeper sides of David. As his character has grown and shown his complexity he's become one of my favorite people in this series. As usual, I suggest that readers start this series at book one since the storyline develop more in each book.

I loved the story. The historical research was great, as always. I’m on my second time around on this series. Great chemistry between the characters, too. My only con with this book is it could have used an edit. There were a lot of missing words in sentences and words used out of context. Can’t wait for the next one!

Enjoyed…

I enjoyed this book in the series. I loved getting a glimpse into what it was like in England during World War Two. The author did a great job of describing in a way that I as a reader could visualize.

I enjoyed David’s and Kenzie’s journey to love. They are made for each other. I’m glad David finally found his soul mate.

It’s with unrequited …

My heart is full and at peace, for the moment! Starting a new novel in the series will be my next journey (only when this peacefulness dissipates into the need for more!!!) … And so it goes, hard to stop when my reading friends are happy as something surely is just around the corner!

This is the forth installment of the brooches and I am hooked. I love that the brooches send someone to find their soul mate and they cannot return to their time without them. The fact that so far there has been 3 majors battles that have been portrayed makes someone that likes historical fiction go wow doesn't hurt.

WWII time traveling romance - wonderful reasons to read a book.

Captivating. Love David's character. Also Jack, who always seems to be in trouble... Kenzie is one strong and fit woman.
