The shocking true account of one of the most sickening murders in the annals of American crime. On a drab, humid day in June 1928, a frail looking old man called at the Manhattan apartment of Albert and Delia Budd and persuaded them to allow their ten-year-old daughter to accompany him to a children’s party. What followed was one of the most sensational murder cases in American history, a crime that shocked, disgusted and enthralled an entire nation.
Follow the paths of a horrendously depraved killer and the relentless detective who dedicated six years of his life to tracking him down. Get inside the courtroom for one of the trials of the century. Revisit the crime scenes and hear from the psychiatrists who examined this human monster. And finally, read the barely believable confessions of one of the most perverted individuals ever to walk this earth.
Confessions Of A Cannibal will shock you to the core. This no holds barred account is not for the faint-hearted.

Albert Fish has always been one of my favorite serial killers and I've never, until now that is, been able to find a decent book about him. I enjoyed Keller's story, learning a few new things about Fish was fun.
It was a rough read, that’s why it took me two days to read it because I had to put it down after the letter he wrote and take a break. I do recommend it, as it doesn’t shy away from the details
Sickening and at times hard to read but told very well.
I've studied many serial killers over the years, the intrigue for me is in what exactly makes these monsters tick, why it is that they feel the urge to commit these horrific crimes against innocent fellow human beings.
Despite my interest in serial killers though I have chosen to leave Albert Fish alone due to the fact his crimes were indeed inflicted on children. So I went into this book knowing only the basics of this sick individuals crimes.
After reading Robert Kellers book on Fish I now feel I've learned all I will ever need to know about this monster and I must say as disturbing as the reading was it was told very well indeed with absolutely no glorification of what was perhaps the most inhuman beast to ever walk amongst us. 5 stars for Robert Keller.
Overall, a well told account of Albert Fish and his ghastly crimes. This individual was truly fucked up...at a time when this sort of behavior was not commonly heard of. I've gotten the basics of this guy from a podcast before, and wanted some more detail. So I got this from Kindle Unlimited when I saw it. This isn't a highly researched, detailed telling of his life and actions, nor does it have any real discussion about him. So this isn't an intense "documentary" style book. I appreciate that. This was an easy read (although still difficult because of the descriptions of his crimes). This is a good stepping stone into deciding if you want to know more or if this is sufficient. I for one want to know more about Albert Fish...not so much his crimes, but how he became the way he was.

“WARNING: Confessions of a Cannibal is not for the faint-hearted”
Albert Fish reportedly admitted to the torture and murder of at least 15 children before being tried and executed on January 16, 1936. This recounting of his crimes and confessions is truly gruesome, including every cringeworthy detail. The Warning really says it all. This is not for the faint of heart or the weak stomached. I had to stop and take a deep breath several times throughout. It is short and fast paced, you could easily read in a day. The murder of children alone is unforgivable but what this man did, the electric chair was not justice enough in my opinion.
This was a well written book that can be read in a day. It doesn’t go into a crazy amount of detail, but what I liked was that it brought together a lot of information that I have seen in separate modes previously. There were a lot of events and information I have read about preciously, but some I had never heard of. The 16 year old boy who almost suffered the same fate as Grace Budd is one that sticks out to me as being a fresh piece of information. This man was truly a sick and twisted individual, but I still think he was insane. Tragic upbringing led to tragic results for hundreds of kids.

This is an interesting book of what happened to a little ten year old girl who was taken, with her parents consent, by a sadistic serial killer, Albert Fish. I will spare you the details of what happened to her. It's a brief book and covers the murder of a few other children by a pedophile of the worst kind. If you have the strength to read this material, then go for it. I found it depressing and dark and fulll of evil.
The case of Albert Fish never ceases to amaze and disturb me. My heart goes out to the victims and their families, I can only imagine how heartbreaking it is, to hear your sweet little child was tortured brutally, sexually exploited, and chopped apart and eaten by a manic monster.
This was very informative, I highly suggest this to anyone wanting a quick look at this case. Well done.
This book tells events using court documents and letters from the Albert Fish. His gruesome details in his own words made me sick to my stomach. The emotive reactions from the witnesses and families of the victims were what got to me the most. It's well put together as far as court documentaries go.
Outstanding review for a book about a serial killer
This is an extremely outstanding review for a fantastic read about a serial killer!!!!!!! I admired his writings about the details that made the serial killer endowed as a cannibal!!!!!!! I would recommend this book to anyone!!!!!!

What a disgusting man. I could not stop reading this. It's a short book to begin with so it's not super impressive I finished it in one day but it was very hard to put down so that's the biggest cause of finishing it so quickly. It was a very easy ready, I honestly wish it would have been longer but the details of this man were pretty intense.
I've seen plenty of documentaries on Albert Fish and majority of the time, it's the same thing; his letter to the Grace Budd family, his perversions, etc. But this book actually goes in depth of Albert and his murders. I won't spoil this for anyone but I'd highly recommend it if you're interested in this sick man.
Informative and short and to the point. I enjoyed it. I didn’t know anything about Albert fish going into this book so it surprised me that he only had three confirmed killings. For some reason I thought there were a whole lot more. Overall good read!
It’s basically just a long blog post, not a book. Keller tells the story with lurid details to grab your attention, but without any depth or analysis of Fish himself, his other crimes, or even the most basic forensic details.
I enjoyed this book although at times it made me sick to read the things Albert Fish did in detail . Albert Fish really was a sick sick man . Robert Keller is one of my favorite true crime authors all the books I've read are well written , and detailed ..
Albert Fish was a sick individual. His victims were children. The things he did were maybe even worse than Jeffery Dahmer. I had to reread at a couple places to make sure what I just read because it was insane. If you have a weak stomach, this book is not for you.
I am giving this a 5 star review because the research done for this book was spot on. This is a hard read and is sickening at times. I am familiar with Albert Fish and his crimes so it wasn’t shocking to me.
Such a depraved man. Do you think nature vrs nurture? A product of his environment and where he was raised or was he evil from conception. It’s too bad they could not study his mind and thought processes but he did deserve to die.
Reader beware. It’s a short book but a very difficult read.
I liked how it was written. Easy reading. Very descriptive of how the murders happened. It you live true crime this is a much read. Never heard of Albert fish but I now won't forget him
very informative after hearing a podcast about him I just had to do some further research about the things that they couldn't talk about on the podcast.
