Finally, after all these years Marybeth was finally his and he was going to do whatever it took to keep her, even if that meant risking it all.
Along with their Honeymoon from Hell has been added "What Really Happened.." the story of how Darrin and Marybeth finally came together. They will be released in Chronicle form on the website in the next few weeks, but are published as a collection in this novelette.
New York Times Bestselling author, R.L. Mathewson was born in Massachusetts. She’s known for her humor, quick wit and ability to write relatable characters. She currently has several paranormal and contemporary romance series published including the Neighbor from Hell series.
Growing up, R.L. Mathewson was a painfully shy bookworm. After high school she attended college, worked as a bellhop, fast food cook, and a museum worker until she decided to take an EMT course. Working as an EMT helped her get over her shyness as well as left her with some fond memories and some rather disturbing ones that from time to time show up in one of her books.
Today, R.L. Mathewson is the single mother of two children that keep her on her toes. She has a bit of a romance novel addiction as well as a major hot chocolate addiction and on a perfect day, she combines the two.
In 2019/2020, R.L. Mathewson will be publishing Devastated, the first Anger Management novel, Tall, Dark & Furious, the 6th installment to the Pyte/Sentinel series, Irresistible, the long anticipated novel for the Neighbor from Hell Series as well as many more books throughout the year, paranormals, contemporaries, and YAs.
This was a really fun story about how Darrin and Marybeth spent their "honeymoon" as well as the chronicles at the end that explained how they began their relationship. Of course, it wasnt without the usual Bradford craziness that I love so much. Another fun story and I look forward to continuing on.
Really having trouble staying engaged in these characters and stories. They are becoming almost cartoon'ish in their antics, and honestly, the stopping of the honeymoon's is what is causing the problems
It was a fun read, but more of the same, with the same characters interacting with the couple of choice for the story. Not ready to give up yet on HFH and NFH, but things need to improve in the next few books or it is a definite possibility
Another fun addition to this series. I thought this couple did a good job of almost getting their Honeymoon, loved that they had the rest of the Bradford clan scared of them.
I love Marybeth and Darrin. Clever spin on the Curse too, and how about those cheeky cousins poking their noses in. There is a bonus at the end in the form of The Chronicles (which can be found on the authors website) telling the tale of how they first got together. Brilliant yet again, fantastic reads!
Darrin and Marybeth were both vree and clear for a honeymoon because of their trip to Florida. But the rest of the Bradford's weren't in agreement. Jason and Trevor caught up with them but Darrin proved to be smartest of them all.
Darrin and Mary Beth SMOKING HOT TOGETHER! !!! I have never laugh so much through as series as I do with these Bradfords. They are determined, controlling, possessive, and love thier woman with everything they have.. what more do you want this was fantastic again
As usual, RLM manages to keep me laughing like a deranged woman and loving it. And i loved how they got together was added to the book. It gave a little something something to the story.
Audiobook review: Interesting honeymoon invasion tactics. Good story but not overly impressed, felt like a let down. Not much to the honeymoon other than family interference. Not much in the way of chaos. The narrator did a good job.
I loved this one! We met Darrin and Marybeth in the last book, The Game Plan, and you need to read that one first. However, in my opinion, Double Dare is much better.
Unlike any of the other books, Darrin and Marybeth are already together. He is the typical Bradford, cocky, overconfident, completely food-obsessed and just an overall pain in the ass. However, he loves Marybeth and wants to marry her. Marybeth is keeping him in their current sex only relationship. What is a Bradford to do? Kidnapping, blackmail, all of the above?
This story was so funny and sweet, and I loved everything about it. I love the cocky crazy Bradford’s and the hilarity the get up too.
I am rating Double Dare’s Honeymoon from Hell 5 Boundless Stars.
I loved this HFH. Why because it was. A little different than the others. But I must say whenever Trevor, Zoe,Jason or Haylie make an appearance it always makes me happy.
Darrin and Mary Beth are about to be parents of triplets and ready to go on their Honeymoon. However, the family is doing absolutely anything they can in order to stop them from going and to save them from the curse. It is hilarious and such a fun read. The family however doesn’t realize that their Honeymoon from Hell was the family trip to Disney. So this trip doesn’t really have anything go wrong.
It is in fact a hilarious story despite the fact that nothing really goes wrong with it. Is the curse finally broken or did the trip to Disney count as their Honeymoon? I guess we will never know. I loved learning more about these two and their family curse through this book. I really hope to see more chronicles in e-book format one day. I also hope that the e-books of HFH continue through the series because they are really fun.
Marybeth and Darrin try to escape from the Bradford clan to spend their honeymoon in Boston. Darrin has tried to think of every contingency in order to make his wife happy and show how much he loves her. When things do not go exactly as planned several times, Marybeth is pleased to find that Darrin does not disappoint in having a backup plan for them. When Darrin explains why he thinks this honeymoon will be fine, Marybeth finally understands where he was coming from, although she had doubts aplenty in the beginning. It was nicely done and the chronicles were a nice touch.
I feel like I'm missing something with this one. It was their honeymoon but not really, and also part of Double Dare but not really. There was no plot and it was scattered.
