Meladie is always one to speak her mind, and to have her friend’s back. She is not always team Ox. Eventually, Ox wins her over, and she is introduced to his friend, Meek. Meladie and Meek hit it off instantly, but one night can change their course forever. Meladie, unsure of what Meek’s true intentions are, may ruin the very thing she desires. Kelsie, the party animal of the group, is all about having a good time, and living life to the fullest. But all of that gets put on hold when Tre walks into her life. Everything about their relationship seems perfect. But Tre had a big secret. He knows that Kelsie is a no nonsense person. Tre is terrified that when she finds out what he’s hiding, she will want nothing to do with him. Will Ox be able to prove to Shauny that he can be all the man she needs? Can Shauny put up with Ox's flaws? Or will a blast from the past destroy everything they’ve worked so hard to build? In one word...frustrating. I soooo wanted to like this one but it just didn’t happen. It reminded me of Hard by Anjela Day with the bipolar mess that the characters seemed to have. One second Shauny was this good girl with a good head on her shoulder then she was a ratchet as hoe in the next. I thought her and Maddox had been together for a year but the story just didn’t add up like they had.

Maddox was this business guy who left the game alone to only be still trying to decide if he wanted to get back in or not. Shauny would be upset calling it off in one paragraph and back in love the next. The advice that was given was just as off the wall but what really took the cake was the advice about meeting Mya. Then for Mya to not only go along with it but to let some chick take her child was so over the top it just didn’t make sense. Who does that? She didn’t know if Kelsie would harm her child or not but she just let her go right on with her? I can see if Tre was with them but Mya knew that he had no idea that they were meeting but she was cool with letting her child go.

The mess with Mel and the mama was about the only thing that made sense. The situation with Shauny ex was so left field it really had me shaking my head. Even the ending was over the top, what was the point in bringing Jazier into the story if he only had two parts? They didn’t have any type of interaction so it was really stupid for him to pop up the way he did and to go as far as he did. All the label naming and designer popping was another thing over the top. Come on, we have to do better than this. Go checkout some Roxie Riveria, Mallory Monroe, Shan, Taz Will, Brenda Jackson, Wahida Clark or even Mandy M. Roth to get a better look not only on making a story flow but how a criminal moves in a story while capturing the love side of the action.

Happy , Happy ,Happy

I loved this story...well written and so real. Each character was very well defined and I fell in love with all of them. So refreshing that all of them had careers and were intelligent and a little ghetto...lol. I really like the way Shauny and Ox have that bond and love . I can't wait for book two. I get teased because I put ice in my cereal and to read that someone else does it makes me smile....Great book I highly recommend you get this book , it is a BANGER and it will hold your attention....that ending , never saw it coming!!!!!

Pretty Good

This was a good book. The storyline was on point and the characters were put together nicely. The flow of the book was kind of fast paced but made sense. Javier is a punk and I hope he gets what's coming to him. I wouldn't sleep on Tee-Tee either she is up to something. I hope Maddox is Ok and I will be patiently waiting for the next installment.

Love in the Lou

The three couples in this book are really good for each other. Shauny is spoiled. Mel has the mouth. Kels is the chill mode one. Meek need to get his mother in check. Tre needs to realize his daughter mother is really nice and likes his girlfriend. Ox needed to tell the truth from the beginning. Tee Tee needs to grow up.

Love in the Loud

This novella was ok for a first time author. The characters needed to be developed and more relatable within their relationships. Plus, the storyline was predictable and left off with an unoriginal cliffhanger (bang-bang) "to be continued... No thanks." I would not recommend it.
