The Justice (Minor) League is trapped in the past and an eternal war that feels like it will never end, until it abruptly does which is very unsatisfying. In fact, the only thing that was satisfying was Adam Strange and Alanna no longer having their Zeta beams crossed anymore.

So, the abysmal Justice League United series ends as it began, a meaningless meandering mess. New writer Jeff Parker can't hit the mark as he takes half the team and throws them randomly together with a handful of other characters for two missions to clean up their mess. Its painful to read. Equally painful was the art by Travel Foreman. His work looked rushed and amateurish here. Luckily, veteran Paul Pelletier handled a few issues superbly. Overall, I'm very happy to not be reading this any more.

This has a lot of my favorite characters that never get a fair shake in other books (at least until OMAC showed up, barf), but I could not get into it and was bored by the triteness of it all.

I still don't understand why they create a new Justice League every time someone is excluded from one of the existing groups. Other than that I'm really surprised how good this is compared to the previous volume- which is mainly due to the appearance by Swamp Thing, Frankenstein and Etrigan. If you think about it, this could've been a JLD comic book and that kind of annoys me.

Pretty average superhero story as the Justice League is trapped in a time bubble with characters from various eras of DC history.
