A spicy fast paced romantic story that has lots of love and lots of Chennai. A very non pretentious approach where the author has written about what she knows and loves and gone a great job at that.

The kind of book that makes you feel good about falling in love when you are done with it.

A breezy romantic novel which you definitely should pick up for a light read.

I loved this book. There was so much good thing to talk about the book and I don't know where to start. I loved the setting because I am from Chennai. I could identify with almost all the places where the action took place. The characters are so real that you can reach in the pages and touch them. Kudos to author for creating such real characters. The ending was great. Thanks to the author for not showing people as emotional fools. Will post a review on blog and link here soon

Let me start with a candid confession MAKE IT 2 wasn’t an easy book to review. The book is a mess a sweet, funny, erotic mess. We have all come across triangles before. So what makes this one different?

On the surface it does resemble the usual love triangle we have all come across before. But for me it was always about the choices and their resulting consequences. It is not often that a reader encounters two strong, independent female characters in a love story. This uniqueness makes the whole plot work.

We have two women who aren’t afraid to face the consequences of their own choices. The hero fittingly plays second fiddle. A major plus is the tone which is cheesy and erotic throughout. To do so with minimal sex sequences is a commendable feat.

The book is only 150 pages which makes it a light, breezy read. Make It 2 once again highlights the importance of a good closure. A bad finish can ruin a good plot. On the other hand if the author gives a fitting finale it can make the reader forget all the flaws in the plot. Sharada Vijay does that with admirable ease.

The only negative is the local lingo. I always believe love stories have universal appeal. Usage of the local language might act as a hindrance when there is a very good chance of reaching readers in different states. Perhaps a page could have been allotted to explain the native terms.

Pick this one up if you like light, breezy romance with a tiny slice of erotica.

Sharada Subramanian take a bow! Your first book and you've nailed it. A beautiful down to earth story with wonderful dialogues in colloquial English which give it a very realistic touch. The monologues, thought processes, similes, comparisons all very well expressed. The protagonists have been fleshed out so well, I can almost feel them around me. They are definitely folks who can exist in the real world and are not just ethereal, mythical specimens (I am looking at you Mills & Boons!). Let me be frank, I hate love stories primarily because the characters are always dumbed down significantly. It doesn't happen that way in the real world. Rainbows and violins in your head have to co-exist with deadlines, meetings and powerpoint presentations. This is where Sharada's story stays grounded. Extra brownie points for strong female characters. I am done reading this book but Karthik, Sujitha and Priya are going to stick around in my head for a long time!
