Pat Adams-Wright was born in Halifax, West Yorkshire, UK, on the 15th October 1954, in Wellesley Barracks, to a sergeant major father and a working mother. Teacher trained in Liverpool, she actually taught very little during the austere period for practical subjects, doing any work she could find to keep the wolf from the door. However, this did provide plenty of experience and writing material. Finally settled into a teaching job, disaster struck after an accident left her disabled. After many years of using writing to distract her from pain, she successfully completed her debut novel, Run, which was published on the 18th April, 2015.
Just ok! was not terrible but the author should have taken the time to explain the plot then this would have given the story more creative juice..then there was the husband who did not look good to the readers,he came off as a mean-spirited and horrible person.. so my question to the author is 'why?'
Merged review:
Just ok..wasn't terrible, the author could have written a better storyline/plot..why was the husband portrayed like a real mean, nasty and horrible person..conflicted with the whole storyline
I loved the fast-paced feel of Run. I am a firm believer of love at first sight, and I think it was depicted well in this novel. I loved it, and I can't wait for more by this author.
For a new author, this was a fantastic read, Ms Adams-Wright kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the entire book, I have given her 5 stars, because I couldn't give her any more.
I can highly recommend this book to all genders because it grabs your attention from start to finish, never mind it being geared towards a certain audience, I LOVED it.
I can't wait to read her next one and it can't come soon enough :)
Well done Ms Adams-Wright, you should be very proud of yourself.
