For the most part all three books were good and provided sufficient entertainment for me. In each book the leading ladies had TSTL moments that could have prevented some silly misunderstandings and people getting hurt though. The family curse was a nice touch without veering into the paranormal. I did enjoy the angst and the steam level. It was well written in that regard. Good stories.

Captivating!!!

I thoroughly enjoyed all three books. After the first book, I braced myself to be let down by the second book thinking this author couldn't top it. But lo and behold she did.
I loved how you get to see a real character transformation from these cold, ruthless, OTT alpha heroes. I loved their vulnerabilities that was written in a away that didn't make the hero's seem weak. They were brash and didn't hold back when in a temper.
The heroines were great as well. They were not doormats. Far from it. They were strong, smart and could give as well as they got.

I think Kresley's writing style was spot on in these books. Although I did think that the dialogue often didn't suit the timeline (more modern) it grew on me and so I didn't get annoyed. This author didn't nees to use staged angst and overblown misunderstandings to tell her story. No, things were resolved rather quickly but in a nice, creative, smooth way.

The third book was greater still. Although the brothers had the same issues, the author managed to create a wonderful plot that made them seem completely different.

I cried in the third book. Seeing Ethan change so much from such a cold and heartless man to a scared husband fighting desperately for his wife was so touching.

If you enjoy Julie Garwood, Julia Quinn, Donna Grant etc you will like this book. It's not for the faint hearted.

Good series about cursed brothers! You sometimes want to kick the men in the shin, but they make up for it..
I personally enjoy nothing more than a little rough around the edges man with a Scottish brogue, so for me I give the book 5 stars!

I still gave this series 5 starts but the editing was atrocious.
A new paragraph is needed EVERY single time someone else speaks. This book had back and forth conversations in one paragraph.

I have reviewed each one individually, but as a whole I don’t think I’d recommend this series. #1 had potential but ultimately fizzled. #2 was stagnant. #3 was really good. Overall, they are well written and not hard to finish. I only wish this series had been written more recently after Kresley Cole hit her stride, as these brothers were somewhat dull shadows of her Russian Mafiya brothers.

I read this series immediately after binge reading the entire IAD series, I just cannot get enough of Kresley's books. I am a huge period drama person so this series was right up my alley. I loved immersing myself in the story, the horses, the fighting, the heroine's, and the villains. I loved how she accurately portrayed a real area and some of the history too.
