I have nothing positive to say about this book. The hero was horrible, a really serious man-whore and nothing was off limits. He was a wild, out of control, spoiled, entitled brat of prince. He was cruel to the heroine and crushed her heart. In my eyes the author failed to redeem him at all. I can't even describe him because his character was all over the place.
The heroine I liked but she sure did not deserve the awful treatment from the prince. I viewed her as weak in this 'relationship.' She knew she should stay away from him but just couldn't help looking all googly eyed in love every time she saw him and if he looked at her she was ready to drop her clothes and hop in the sack after the way he treated her. I found this disturbing.
The story moved very slowly and by the time I finished I felt as though it had taken me all day to get through it. I simply did not like it whatsoever and I'm upset that I set aside my evening to indulge only to end of very dissatisfied and angry at the disturbing hero.
I cannot recommend this book but maybe you should try it for yourself.

MY RATING: 3.5 /5
Okay, so this book was not you're typical harlequin book because it features an 5 year old child that has cognitive thinking and can produce more words than a random gah gah. The child was not a plot device but simply a character that both main characters had to deal with. I'm not saying that the child had a main role but it was soooooo interesting to hear what the child had to say or see how adorable he is.
Anyways, I really liked how this story was led up to the exposure of Christian finding out he had a son. It was kind of a flirty way of trying to get back into Noelle's life and then he just sees this child in front of him that he knows for a fact is his son. Don't ask me about how people in Harlequin seem to just know from one glance that it's their children because over here in the real world, we need DNA tests for that.
Moving on, the sexual tension between two characters were on point. Noelle doesn't want Christian back in her life but she's still drawn to him. She proposes to have a friends with benefits sort of arrangement during the time period she gives Christian to prove to her that he will be a good father to their son.
Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnd if we all know Harlequin novels, it leads to drama, passion, and of course, falling in love.
Hero was an idiot prince who ended a sexual relationship with heroine. Heroine was pregnant didn't tell hero. Hero decides years down the road that he needs to marry and have an heir. Hero discovers heroine has borne him a son and decided to capitalize on that. Hero and heroine find love, the end.
Secret Child, Royal Scandal tells the story of the last brother Christian. This story I didn’t enjoyed it as much as the previous books, the main characters weren’t as likable as the previous stories Noelle was too prideful and Christian too much of a playboy. I wished it would have been a bit different, Noelle hiding her child for five years I was like oh boy too much. I think it wasn’t fair for Christian to lose so much of his child’s life just because Noelle didn’t say anything after the breakup. I understand the breakup was hard but at the same time five years is half a decade and Noelle didn’t even try. Here we see a story of resentment and lost love. Christian still loves her and Noelle does too but again, she’s proud. What I liked about Noelle is how she didn’t leave her business and life aside just for Christian, yes, he wanted to marry her maybe not for the right reasons but he wanted her in his life and his boy but Noelle was strong. Her business came first and I liked the fact Christian understood and changed his lifestyle to fit her and the boy. Though this book leaves much unsaid which didn’t seat well with me.
Very good conclusion to the series. In the first two books, Royal Heirs Required and A Royal Baby Surprise, the first two of the triplet princes find love, but leave the royal succession in doubt. That leaves Christian to find a bride and marry to provide an heir. As the youngest of the three, Christian has enjoyed his bachelor status and isn't too happy about ending it.
Enter Noelle, the woman he never forgot. Five years earlier they had been friends and lovers, until he broke it off. He has great memories of being able to talk to her about anything, plus the passion had been off the charts. He's determined to see her again, talk to her and get her help, and then see if they can pick up where they left off. When he arrives unannounced at her house, he finds a little boy that looks just like him!
Five years earlier, Noelle had been a young fashion designer, deeply in love with Christian. Though she knew nothing could come of it, that didn't stop her from dreaming. This made it especially heartbreaking when he suddenly ended their affair, making it clear she needed to move on. So when she discovered she was pregnant, she didn't tell him, and raised Marc on her own. Now that he knows the truth, she won't keep him from getting to know his son, but she refuses to cave in to his demands.
At the beginning, I thought that Christian was pretty selfish. Suddenly finding out that he already has a son means he doesn't have to go through the hassle of finding and courting a bride. All he has to do is marry Noelle and he's all set. An additional benefit would be having her back in his bed. I loved his stunned reaction when she doesn't just agree. Though it may be kind of mean of me, I also liked that he had to work at it to connect with Marc. I felt a little bit sorry for him, but he's had things too easy. It got better as I got to know him, and discovered why he had broken things off with Noelle, but his focus was still on his desires.
Noelle is determined to protect her son and herself. She's not too happy about the pressure that would be put on Marc as heir to the throne and would rather keep him out of it. And with the attraction that still burns between her and Christian, she feels it would be far too easy to fall in love with him again.
As Christian and Noelle spent time together, he finally started to realize just what his feelings for her were. Then he had to find a way to convince her of the truth. There was also an added complication of a change in her design business, which gave Christian the opportunity for some immersion time with Marc. I loved their time in New York and what it did to open their eyes to what they had together. The ending was really sweet and romantic as both of them let go of their fears.
There was also an interesting twist involving Gabriel and Olivia that may take some of the pressure off Christian and Noelle. I would like to see them appear in a later book to see what happens with them. Perhaps there will be a book for their sister?
Secret Child, Royal Scandal, the third book in the Sherdana Royals series, is a modern day fairy tale that will bring you a world full of royalty and palace intrigue. You will luxuriate on vineyards and private yachts as you watch a fashionista and her handsome prince fall in love. We first meet Christian in Royal Heir Required. He’s a dashing rogue whose charm is matched only by his obvious love for his family. The outwardly carefree prince, will do anything for his family, even sacrifice his freedom for the good of the realm. When his two older brothers fail to marry women who can legally bare the next Sherdana heir, he knows the duty falls to him. He accepts this duty knowing that love is not in the cards for him. Five years ago he pushed the woman of his heart away believing that she was better off without him. Then he sees her at his brother’s wedding, and he can’t help but feel her pull. When he goes to her home to confide in her as he had all those years ago, he learns a startling truth. He’s already sired the future king of Sherdana. But to make the boy legitimate, he’d have to marry the mother. Noelle wants nothing to do with Christian. He broke her heart and left her alone. For over four years she’s raised her son Marc on her own and now Christian has returned. Her son deserves stability. Noelle isn’t certain Christian can provide it, but how can she deny him his son? She agrees to allow Christian to see Marc but the new close proximity to Christian awakens feelings she’d long since thought dormant. Does she dare risk her heart again? Secret Child will keep you wondering till the end about whether Christian and Noelle will stay together. You’re heart will ache for the characters as their wounds are laid bare. This book is a wonderful story about family and the connections that make us stronger. It’s about understanding what your heart truly desires and accepting that people can change. The rogue grows into a hero and the maiden grows into the queen. Together, they forge a lasting love that will have you sighing in joy over their happily ever after.
I have had the pleasure of reading all three of Cat Schield's Sherdana Royals books. Have enjoyed every single one but Secret Child, Royal Scandal is my absolute favorite of the lot. Christian is the perfect guy. He loves his family, is wealthy and looks out for the best interest of the people he cares about. Noelle has always held a special place in his heart but misunderstandings and tough choices ruptured the bond they shared. I received a copy Secret Child, Royal Scandal in exchange for an honest review. The way that Christian looked after Noelle and sacrificed his own happiness is sweet and a fantasy come true for any romantic. Love is looking out for someone else despite the risk. That is what makes this story.
Yet another of the Alessandro Princes to whisk us off our feet and take us along on his journey to love!
Now that neither of his older brothers will be able to produce the future heir to the throne, Prince Christian Alessandro of Sherdana is being pressured by his family to settle his wild ways and find a fitting bride to give him an heir. Imagine his surprise when he runs into former flame Noelle Dubone at a party and when trying to woo her back into his bed, discovers he's already a daddy!
After the heartache she suffered at Christian's hands 5 years ago, Noelle is not about to trust that he really wants to be a family with her and their son now that he knows about him. It's obviously a ploy to get a ready-made heir to the throne and get his family off his back!
I liked how Noelle would tease Christian, “what a glorious day,” she said, stretching her arm across the seat to rake her nails through his hair. “Did you plan this, too?” I loved that Christian was attentive to his son. I enjoyed this book Christian could be relentless and persuasive to get what he wanted.
So I liked and didn’t like. There were areas I felt the book dragged and I really dind’t like Noelle. I felt that she was being really selfish in some ways about her telling Christian. Her justification to herself throughout the book did help to drag the story.
Christian changed from when Noelle knew him. He was no longer the party boy. He was responsible and a smart businessman. He took his role in business and his family seriously. It took alot for this to occur but it did. He was no longer the selfish arrogant man either. He now was cognizent of other’s feelings and how his decisions affected others. He listened more and he cared genuinely cared about his family and all around him. I loved how earnest he was to get to know his son..It went beyond the crown for him. He wanted to know the boy and be his father..Noelle had reservations and issues with this at first. She pushed Christian away alot and it was a wee bit irritating.
I didn’t like how Noelle handled Christian’s feelings and intentions with her at first. She caused alot of drama that wasn’t needed but for her it was because she got to begin to see the new Christian.
Noelle was a mama bear overprotecting her cub at first. She was also protecting her heart. She wasn’t a bad character perse but she like Christian didn’t always make the best choices in things. As she got to see Chrstian and who he really is now, you see her change towards him. You see the attraction and love blossom and bloom. You see how they could be a great couple and be there for one another. Christian’s grand gesture at the end stole my heart. He truly took his family, Noelle and her son’s feelings into consideration as well. He respected Noelle and her job and did what he knew would be best for them all. I think this is what really warmed Noelle even more to him. She was finally able to let go of the past and truly let love and him in her heart.
Overally the story was nice but at times dragged. I loved the interactions with CHristian and his son and how it was a easy road at first for them. He had to earn the boys trust, love and feeling that he felt safe with him and he worked hard to gain this as well.
This was an interesting read. You had a prince that felt pressured to get married and have a child. He was not ready but it seemed that as soon as he saw Noelle things changed instantly. I wondered if he was being true to himself. Prince Christian was who she loved but he didn’t want her now he was at her home and the truth was about to be unleashed. Marc was a precious little boy that acted as if he was older than 4 years old. He was the type of little boy that didn’t like for people to yell at their mother and if they didn’t they were the enemy. Christian and Noelle are going to have to figure something out because Christian was going to get to know his son and he was going to try and woo her so they could become a family. There was only one problem Noelle was in love with Christian but she believed that he wasn’t in love with her. But there was another problem she needed to know if Christian was responsible in getting her the job that made her career.
Secret Child, Royal Scandal was a good read. The chemistry between Christian and Noelle is sensual. Ms. Schield’s writing style is wonderful and love all of her books. I loved Marc he was a precious little boy that enjoyed spending time with his father once he got to know him.
Received ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an Honest Review
Me gusto mucho!!! Como un principe tan bello, sacrifica su amor por asegurarse que el amor de su vida sea independiente y se haga su camino en el mundo de la moda, porque vio su potencial!!!
Another quick read and a very simple plot in the romance genre. By the end, its a misunderstanding, and of course after separated they once again together.
Secret Child Royal Scandal was a good read that I received from NetGalley in exchange for review. It is the story of Noelle and Prince Christian whom Noelle has loved for many years, despite them being apart for 5 years. Noelle has spent the previous 5 years in Paris, France training under a top clothing designer. While she is gone she has had Christian's son who is now 4 years old. Noelle has moved back to Sherdana to help her mom who also helps with her son Mark's care while Noelle works in her own dress shop. Christian was not ready to be with Noelle when they were together before but, he misses her and hopes to rekindle their friendship without knowing about Mark. Interestingly enough Christian is under pressure from his family to marry and produce an heir because his brother, the next in line for the throne, will not be able to produce an heir with his wife and his other brother married an American making his children ineligible for the throne. When Christian learns about Mark he sees a clear way to meeting his family obligations but, after the pain he has caused Noelle she is not willing to marry him which is what is required for Mark to be eligible to inherit the throne.
I have to admit that I had to put this book down for several days because I found Christian to be annoying and appeared to have a ridiculous notion that he could just step back in Noelle's life after how things were left between them. After a break, I was willing to give Christian another chance and it turns out he was a better person than I originally thought and managed to redeem himself in my eyes. Noelle and Christian's story turned out to be a pretty good one and I liked Noelle very much for continuing to be a strong person and a wonderful mother who deserved to get the guy and luckily for him he deserved to get the girl. ase date.
Parts of this book were hotter than a bonfire! Sherdana (town). Prince Christian Alessandro (aka P.C.) is quite wealthy & has lots of business ventures. Quite the playboy his family is on him to find a bride-to-be to bear him the next heir to the throne.
The other 2 brothers are: Crown Prince Gabriel Alessandro (eldest son, future king, 2 girls) & Nic Alessandro (middle son) who also enjoy a life of luxury. Noelle Dubone (cloths designer) & her son Marc Dubone (4) arrives on the scene. She designed a dress for Princes Olivia Alessandro whom will marry Prince Paolo Gizzi (Italian). Will a romance blossom between Noelle & Prince Christian Alessandro?
Warning: This book contains extremely graphic adult content, violence, or expletive language &/or uncensored sexually explicit material which is only suitable for mature readers. It may be offensive to some readers.
I did not receive any type of compensation for reading & reviewing this book. While I receive free books from publishers & authors, I am under no obligation to write a positive review, only an honest one.
A very awesome book cover, great font & writing style. A very well written romance book. It was very easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters to keep track of. This could also make another great erotic romance movie, or a mini TV series. There is no doubt in my mind this is a very easy rating of 5 stars.

Some people love secret baby/child, others not so much. I personally love them. I did like this one, because when Christian and Noelle broke off their relationship she didn't think he wanted to see her again. Noelle basically decided she was going to raise the child on her own no matter what, Christian just happen to find out he had a child. I could understand why he was upset with her, because she kept it a secret. At the time she felt he would care about the child, which is probably true cause he was a partier at the time. Plus, she was heartbroken and afraid of further rejections. Very emotional time of her life. Now Christian aims to win both Noelle and his child back, but Noelle is a little leery about his motives. I mean he's child could possibly be the heir to the kingdom, which is a lot of stress to put on a young child.
Anyway, I did like Secret Child, Royal Scandal. I did like how Noelle tried to be immune to Christian's charm, after all she's been burned before. The more time Christian spends with those two he realize he has been missing something in his life. Yes, it's a quick read with a quick solution by the end, but it's a comfort read. So, if you are in need of a comfort read and love secret baby/child, Secret Child, Royal Scandal is your read.
Let me start by saying I am a sucker for the secret baby storylines, & Secret Child, Royal Scandal did not disappoint. After seeing Noelle at his brother's wedding, Christian shows up at Noelle's door step uninvited & boy did he get the surprise & shock of his life a 4 year old little boy. He needs an heir for the crown since his oldest triplett brother married & woman who can't have any children & his other triplett brother married American. It is up to Christian to have the heir he must convince Noelle to marry him to legitimize his son. But will Noelle let her heart get broken by Christian a second time. There was sometimes I just wanted to wring Christian neck for not telling Noelle his true feelings for her 5 years ago, but I could see his reasonings but after reuniting with Noelle he had plenty of chance & still didn't tell her he could have saved them time. Instead of making Noelle think he only wanted to marry her to legitmize Marc...MEN!!! I really enjoyed this book, but would have had at least a epilogue to find out some things, I don't want to say what cause I don't want to give any spoilers away. If you a sucker for secret baby story line this one is for you. I received a free copy for my honest review.
The weight of the monarchy is on Christian's shoulders and being the third in line to the throne - he never imagined that he would be one who would need to produce an heir. But with his two brothers having married women, one not able to have children and the other an American... that left the job of continuing the rule of the Alessandro's reign up to him.
Seeing Noelle at his brother's wedding stirs up all kinds of feelings. She was the one that got away but that was all because of him. It's been five years and it looks like she is still holding a grudge against him about it. The only thing is she didn't know that he did for her own good.
After a surprise visit to Noelle - Christian gets a bit of a surprise himself, in the way of a little mini Christian staring back at him while wrapped around the legs of his mother - Noelle.
Now that Christian knows that he has a son, now all he has to do is convince Noelle that they should get married. It won't be an easy task. One that he is ready to prove to her, that he made a mistake five years ago... but will Noelle be able to open her heart again to the one man that tore it to pieces?
This is was great quick read that I really enjoyed. Although it is the third in the series, it can be read as a stand alone.
I love secret babies. :) I came into this series late but you can bet that I have already downloaded the first two! Christian knows that it is time to step up and do what is right for his family. He loves to play the carefree bachelor but when duty calls, he does what needs to be done.
Noelle had loved Christian at one time but now there is a man that means more to her than anything else and she will do everything to protect him.
I love where this story goes and the journey it takes. If you like sweet and romantic, this is one for you.
I really enjoyed Secret Child, Royal Scandal by Cat Schield. The storyline provides for great escapism and makes for a fun book. The interactions between Christian and Noelle had a great combination of chemistry and strength. There were some fun twists along the way and the book proceeded at just the right pace to keep me interested. Well done! I am looking forward to going back and reading the first two books in the series.
This was a perfect quick read, and I loved the little boy, Marc. The primary characters certainly had chemistry but couldn't seem to get together. Because it was a quick read, and because I have not yet read the other books in the series, I didn't know all the back story. Still, this book can stand on.its own. Cat Schield has a nice grasp of language and is able to insert humor into her story. I will definitely read more.
Because of the way Christian, the next king to be, left Noelle she doesn't let him know of her child, by him. When he does Will he be able to have his son and this lowly seamstress? She doesn't want any thing to do with him. What is a royal to do? Cat Shield's book shows a strong female, which I like to read about.
Secret Child and Royal Scandals was wonderful it was romantic , sexy , sweet book that wrapped up in the perfect happily ever after ending that was just perfect for Christian and Noelle . If you love your books with all these things I suggest you pick this book up as soon as you can.
