Not only was I positive that this was not the room where I’d lose my V-card, but I knew it would never be to a musician. Not with what I knew about bad boy rock stars. Kerri had other plans for me, and when his eyes locked on mine, I knew I was in for a run for my money. And when a family emergency sent me running home, I was forced to make a decision. Left or right. No matter the way, it was about time I embraced my decision and just rode the ride.

Blurb: Not only was I positive that this was not the room where I’d lose my V-card, but I knew it would never be to a musician.
Not with what I knew about bad boy rock stars.
Kerri had other plans for me, and when his eyes locked on mine, I knew I was in for a run for my money.

This book was so bad I couldn’t even finish it. The beginning was great I loved Sacha and Jessie’s characters but then Jesse goes on tour screws around with four different people at the same time she catches him he admits it and the author doesn’t let Sasha be strong enough to have respect for herself. She’s pregnant and I know there’s supposed to be a happily ever after but give me a break. Jesse shows up gravels at her feet and she lets him stick his dick in her with no condom after he’s been with four skank‘s. I know this is just a book but young women read this stuff. You are breeding a society where women don’t have enough respect for themselves to say no you won’t treat me that way. Sasha could have a happily ever after with her baby and someone who treats her with respect and reverence. If you like seeing a woman being made a fool of and treated like a piece of garbage then you’ll enjoy this book
Although I liked the series, it is rather annoying to have a "series". Starting with the 2nd book there were more and more grammatical and spelling errors, which I always find annoying when someone is actually charging to read their book(s), even if it was a very low price. As I keep writing, get yourself a really good proof reader and have them proof it several times. Last but not least, I don't consider myself a prude, however, I did find all the continuous gratuitous details of their sexual encounters very boring after the 2nd or 3rd time and wound up skipping most of those pages in the last 3 books. Personally, I don't find every little detail necessary to forward the storytelling. Also, although it did wind up with a happily ever after type ending, I felt as though with all the build up in each book, that this particular ending was just a little bit too meh and a bit of a let down.
This is a fantastic collection of stories dealing with fame and fortune.
The first book deals with Jesse and Sasha finding each other. It starts with Sasha breaking her ankle and Jesse carrying her home. The second book deals with Sasha and Jesse getting together and starting their relationship while Jesse and his band start to make it big. The third book deals with Sasha's insecurities about Jesse on the road. She has some emotional baggage to deal with because her father is a rock star. This causes them to break up. The fourth book deals with how they get back together and how they handle a big surprise. The fifth book puts them through the wringer. They're in an auto accident and both wind up in the hospital, Jesse in a coma and Sasha named up pretty badly. They overcome that to go to having their HEA.
This was my first book by Elizabeth Nelson but I was definitely impressed. I truly enjoyed Sasha and Jesse's ups and downs. I also liked that even though there was a bit of installed that Sasha didn't change who she was at the core. She banded a bit and learned to let go but didn't just jump without some thought. Jesse was great because even though he got frustrated with Sasha he let her come to her conclusions in her own time. I wish the ending had been a bit more wrapped up but I did enjoy the story, I just felt there were a few things left open or up in the air. But I would definitely encourage others to check it out and recommend it to anyone who likes the rockstar falling for the everyday girl!
Sasha was raised that rockstars are bad people. She depends on her friends Kerri and Axel for support. Sasha's father is a rockstar and she still hasn't forgiven him for divorcing her mom and leaving her.
Then she meets a guitar player/lead singer of a local band. She tells him she doesn't date musicians; but he just keeps showing up. Especially when she needs him most.
This series ended too soon, I would have followed this couple through their lifetime together.
What I really loved about your writing is that you let the characters talk . Most authors say things like describing the love seen from a third person talking for example she never felt this way before why can't she say to him i haven't felt this way about anybody . Why can't the characters talk describe how they are moving his or her hand up the back not from the view of the author or so call third person narrating the seen . I think a difference fonts should be used when the characters are talking in their head.
This series was one of the best rock star romances I’ve ever read! I love the stories that start out before the rocker gets famous. The details of Sasha’s emotions (her insecurities, childhood traumas, etc.) were covered well and all the upheavals she and Jesse faced drew me deeper into the series. One minute I was crying and the next I was laughing. I definitely felt all the emotion. I wish I could give this series 10 stars, as I said because it’s worth it!
I was rooting for Jesse and Sasha the whole way. I'm glad I read this as a complete box set. There were a number of typos and inconsistencies in storyline and descriptions that pulled away from the story. Like when sasha can't decide what to wear for her dinner date at the new house and she decides on Kerri's sundress. Only to have her shirt and pants removed during dinner.
My review contains spoilers. This is my first book and series by this author. The writing is ok however there is a lack of details in a lot of areas making the story very confusing to follow and to many details in her thought process, over analyzing things. Seems the whole series was written really fast with no proofreader for timing or editing. You don’t even learn Jesse’s last name until book 6! I never had a clear picture of her at all in my head and a vague one of him. However, it’s a good read and with a little tweaking it could be a great series! My review contains spoilers.
Book 1 – Sasha meets Jesse when he is singing at a bar she is at. There is an instant attraction that she fights off because she has sworn never to date a musician. He is persistent and helps her when she breaks her ankle after a run. After seeing how caring he is and what a gentlemen he can be, she decides to give him a chance. She see’s his talent and knows he will make it one day and that scares her. He gets her tickets to a festival of big name acts where he is playing as the first act of the night. She decides to go and give them a chance. After his performance, she runs into the top act of the night, her fathers band, the Rock Star father who abandoned her when she was 10 years old. The reason she swore never to date a Musician.
Book 2 - After seeing her father, Jesse gets her out of there and takes her home where her mother calls her and tells her that her stepfather has had a heart attack. This is the man that raised her and is really her dad to her. They all take off on a road trip to visit him and see that he will be ok. While at the hospital one of her mothers friends comes and meets Jesse in the waiting room and asks him to send her a demo tape when she hears him singing to pass the time. She works in the music industry. This scares Sasha. With his talent she knows he will make it big. They go back to her family home and she and Jesse have sex for her and their first time. Jesse gets the demo together and gives to Sasha to send for him. Weeks later she goes home with him and meets his family. When they get back, goofing around in her room they bump the table and his demo falls in the floor. He is devastated she didn’t send it and he walks out the door.
Book 3 - This book is in alternating point of views. Sasha sends the demo tape and then finds out Jesse has a concert in a few days. She goes with Axel and Kerri and tries to get in backstage to see him but no luck. In the arena she watches his performance realizing all his songs are about her and feels they are truly over. After the concert Jesse’s band is signed and he is going on tour in a week. When he gets back he goes to Sasha’s to tell her and they talk a little and he asks to see her later in the week. They go on a fabulous date to dinner and really talk and get back on track. When he leaves for a 6-month tour they plan for her to come when he is in Chicago. When she arrives he is drunk and she finds him with another woman all over him but the worst is to come. She leaves him and goes back home. He calls, texts, send flowers to no avail. His sister comes over and it ends with her taking a pregnancy test.
Book 4 - This book has some major problems! Jesse comes back from his 6 month tour, he hasn’t been with Sasha except for Chicago and they didn’t have sex however she is now pregnant and not showing like she is only weeks along! She would have to be at least 6 or more months at this point, also they do not discuss his cheating and she has unprotected sex with him while knowing she is pregnant! There are other stupid things in this book also, like upgrading her ticket to first class on her way home from her dads when she flew first class to Miami! Then they go out to the new house and she is wearing a dress but then they are taking off her “pants”. This book ends with them having a wreck. This book alone would only get 1 star!
Book 5 – This book starts with their recovery from the wreck. They are both in ICU, he is comatose, she has a concussion and pins in her arms. However he recovers miraculously and is out, with her with months of physical therapy and then has to go live with her mother 4 hours away. Weird and vague medical issues. He starts his next tour and continues to have problems with Scout. Scout feels his relationship with Sasha is keeping the band from its full potential. The new house is coming along and at the end it looks like he will be proposing.
Book 6 - Sasha turns him down, not feeling like she is ready yet. She finally leaves her moms and goes to the new house to start working on the landscaping and furnishing the house. Jesse finally fires Scout and he threatens revenge. They hire a new bass player. Sasha really thinks about marriage and the future while he is away working. While she is finishing up the landscape work Scout attacks her and almost rapes her in his revenge. Kerri & Axel show up just in time and he is arrested. The book ends on Jesse getting an award for single of the year and Sasha showing up at the ceremony to surprise him however he turns around and surprises her by proposing to her on stage and she says yes.
These characters are fantastic and the storyline is interesting with several plot twista thrown in. Jesse is wonderful. I loved him so much! The books flow effortlessly into each other and I am glad this was released as a box set. Great read!
I love, love, love this boxed set. The stories flowed so well. Great storyline, you'll find yourself smiling, cheering & crying along with the couple. I only wish that the author had stated from whose perspective the chapters were written.
I would like to thank you for this book! I loved it! I it had excitement, obstacles to overcome and a beautiful love story. I'm going to Amazon to look for more of your books! Thank you so much for a beautiful story!
This book has the perfect amount of Mystery, Adventure, trials and real life struggle to make it almost believable. It also has enough sexuality to keep it interesting. The only downside in this book is too many typing errors
Enjoyed the ups, downs, tragedies, and achievements! It was written realistically but with passion!! I definitely loved the series, looking forward to more books!!
I enjoyed Sasha and Jesse's story and they ups and downs. I also liked that Sasha didn't change who she was at the core. And how much they loved in other. And of course the love of their friends and family. I enjoyed this very much!
Loved this series. Amazing writing. I got pulled in and could not stop reading this series. All the up and down of their relationship. I loved the way Jesse never gave up.
