I recieved a free digital copy from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

What an amazing series! It has action, plot, erotica, romance... what more can one ask for? Defiler (book three) is responsible for me losing sleep, I just could not put it down! I just had to know how it was all going to end with all the odds stacked against them and everything the worst, worst case scenario! I cannot wait to read Cyberella which is also set in the Preyfinders Universe. I found the characters very believable and the plot made sense without dragging or skipping forward so you never had to step back and sort out the sequence of events. This is one of the best sci-fi novels I've read and I look forward to reading more works by Cari Silverwood.

This was very well thought out and written. Few if any typos. A cut above most 'space aliens capture earth girls' books. Lots of Dom/BDSM-light stuff, if you are into that sort of thing. Hunky space aliens, but very bossy in a mostly nice way. There's plenty that borders on dubious consent, though. I absolutely can't stand flogging and spanking, and there is some of that in here. It's just not the sort of book I give 5 stars to, but this was a 3.5 for me. I wasn't thrilled with the hunting women as 'pets' part, or the nanos that make the women compliant and horny, so that brought my rating down from a 4. And, this is pretty long since it's several books in one volume, but there were several couples and one mfm relationship. At times it was a little boring, but the ending is really good. I think I am going to check out the next book.

Combining all my reviews from the separate books into the boxset.

Precious Sacrifice (Preyfinders #1)

4.25 stars

I am beginning to think that there isn't anything that Cari cannot write. It has only been recently that I discovered I really like this sci-fi genre of alien abduction type of romance. I am looking forward to the next in the series.

Intimidators (Preyfinders #2)

4.5 stars

This series just keeps getting better and better. I love that Cari does such a believable job in describing things that are not "earthly" which in turn enhances the story. I love that this series introduces characters from the other stories as well. Loved Willow and Stom.

Looking forward to reading about Talia and Brask. I would also like more on Ally.

Defiler(Preyfinders #3)

5 stars

This series was amazing and this conclusion was the stuff that all series Enders should strive for. It was the culmination of the entire storyline. All the previous questions were answered. The fight was fought. Every character had a specific role and we got to see how they played into the fight. A fight that couldn't have been fought without the talents of each of them.

Jadd and Brittany. Willow and Stom. Ally and Rimmil. Talia, Brask, and D (I couldn't spell his name if I tried). Out of all the characters, The mighty threesome was my favorite. Holy hot scenes that could melt my kindle. Good lord. I was fanning myself. I loved their banter with each other.

I am sad to see this series end. Time to find the next Cari book. I'm addicted

"Precious Sacrifice"

It's romantic and sweet that Jadd and Brittany find love. But isn't it just a little off that she fell so instantly. OK, so there was the drug. Seriously, no words can describe where my head is at. I wish there was more to their story. I felt like I was missing so much.

Such a harsh alien race to assimilate humans as their "pets". It's so demeaning and presumptuous on their part. To assume we are nothing but our primal needs and desires. They take our intelligence and capabilities for granted. It irritates me to no end.

"Intimidator"

Willow and Stom. . . what a huge difference in acquisition. Stom is truly an honorable soul with a heart of gold. But man, I feel for Willow and her issues. She loves her cousin so much and is willing to do anything to protect her. Crazy story.

I wish these girls didn't have all these troubles and issues. I feel so badly for them. I am glad that through it all everyone is OK. Just finding Ally is the issue now.

"Defiler"

Ooohhh, wow! My favorite in this trilogy series yet! I absolutely envy Talia! She has the best of both worlds with Brask and Dassenze. How did she get so lucky and God bless her Goddess soul. She truly has it all.

The battle to get to this peace was intense, but everyone gets their "happily ever afrer". I truly enjoyed this series; which surprised me immensely. I'm not much of an alien storyline fan, but I was hooked and dragged into the series. Cari truly knows how to write with style and class. I feel compelled every time I start to read to never stop.

Take a step out of reality and into a truly fabulous fantasy!

THIS BOOK RAISES THE BAR SO HIGH...

I loved EVERYTHING about this book, simply everything. The fascinating, unique, intriguing characters, the world development, the action, the suspense, and the breathtaking, squirmy, gasping along with the characters in intensity, H.O.T. Spicy, mindbending sexiness!

So I have never written a review before except for doing the star thing but since following a few of my favourite authors it has come to my attention that this is a way of supporting them besides buying their books. I'm hoping I will be half as eloquent as some of the bloggers I follow are. I have never read a sci-fi book before let alone an erotic sci-fi but Cari Silverwood is one of my favourite authors. Absolutely love her Pierced Heart series and love the type of dark, bdsm books she writes. Klaus and the gang are some of my favourite heroes, anti heroes, however you want to describe them. So when she posted that her Preyfinders box set was on sale I thought I would take a chance and see if I would enjoy this as much as her other series. Well I absolutely loved these stories and I don't know why I am so surprised. I guess I thought you just couldn't mix these two genres together, or maybe you just couldn't do it well. This story kept me interested from the first page to the last. There could have been absolutely no sexy, bossy alien men, no hot, steamy sex(and Cari knows how to write sex) and I would have still loved these stories, but thank goodness there was. Loved how the stories of the four couples intertwined, the descriptions of everything alien was so vivid it was like I had a movie playing in my head(this would be an awesome series on HBO or something), the strong female characters and even stronger, sexy alien men, all of it kept me glued to my reader for the weekend. I just had to finish it. Not as dark as my usual reads, though there are some questionable things done and some light bdsm I still loved this. I think I may have found a new genre courtesy of Cari Silverwood or maybe I have just discovered a new facet to one of my favourite authors. Either way if you enjoy this genre or are a fan of this author I highly recommend this series. Next read-Cyberella.

My thanks to NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this trilogy.

These were just my second time reading this author and the stories did not disappoint. Crossing the divide between Earth and Space, the Preyfinders get a chance to find a pet after proving themselves in battle. Of course, nothing is that easy and they soon realise that the women they have chosen are more than just pets and rapidly become bondmates.

With cleverly crafted story-lines, I believe you must read these in order to get the full effect of the books and of the warriors who have met their match. I especially loved book three in this series as I finally got the story of Brask who's been a face in the previous books, as well as Dassenze who has been the enigmatic god.

All the females leads were strong and sassy, taking no shit from their alien invader men and became confident in their roles in winning the war against the Bak-lal queen and her surprisingly scary and interesting creations.

These books were filled with Alien fighting, Earth invasion and enough sex to create a whole new species.

Totally rocked it, will definitely be looking at the other works from this author.

Last December, I read and enjoyed Cari Silverwood's Cyberella. I really like the world described in Cyberella, so I decided to read Preyfinders to find out more about that universe.

Preyfinders is composed of one novella and two not-too-long novels. According to Amazon, the page count is 525. All together, it makes for one good long novel you can really sink your teeth into.

Since I am really talking about three books, I will try to avoid spoilers, but no guarantees. Proceed at your own risk!

I can divide the three-book story into two main parts.

The first is the romantic/sexual part. There are four couples made up of alien males – the Preyfinders – and Earth women. Preyfinders hunt females, use a nano-chem to draw them in, and then make them Preyfinder pets. They (the aliens) think it is just that 3-step-easy. Of course, since these are Earth women, being turned into a pet is not exactly something that is on their list of acceptable relationship paradigms. So the Preyfinders will be challenged every step of the way. But to make things interesting, the Earth women are attracted to the aliens. Of course. It has to be that way since it is a romance. In true Cari Silverwood style, there will be a number of erotic sex scenes. Warning: with each installment in the series, the sex became more explicit. Ms. Silverwood does successfully tie most of the erotic scenes in with pertinent plot points. But some sex scenes were just – there – and felt a bit awkward. Especially since Earth was in the middle of a major crises throughout most of the book.

The second main part of the book is the SciFi part. There is an ongoing battle with the Bak-lal. The Bak-lal are major creepy bad aliens that have been storming across the universe in an attempt to take it over. They have an insidious (think horror movie) process that turns the indiginous population of any planet into Bak-lal soldiers. Somehow, many years ago, they got a foothold on Earth, but remained buried for who knows how long. In Preyfinders, the Bak-lal will emerge and Earth will become a major battle ground with these monsters.

One of the things I appreciated about Preyfinders is that there was not a big to-do about aliens showing up on Earth. By aliens, I mean the Preyfinders and their fellow Iggrak and Freya soldiers. The good guys. This was evident in two ways. First, the women that connect with the aliens just accept their alienness. And second, when the Bak-lal come out of hiding, Earth’s governments seem to have no problem with the alien soldiers that arrive to help them out. No, it does not seem at all realistic that the Earth governments would not be raising a big stink about the sudden arrival of creatures from outer space. But in a planetary crisis, perhaps that is how things would really be. At any rate, the story is about the conflict with the Bak-lal, not Earth authority, so it worked.

These two main parts of the story I have described – the romance and the SciFi were combined via the couples. Each of the four women has a unique hidden talent that sets them apart from the average human woman. That uniqueness becomes more pronounced, even enhanced, when they finally bond with their mate. And that uniqueness may just be something that will be vital in the war with the Bak-lal.

The Preyfinder series is full of characters, both alien and human, that have charm, intelligence and depth. There are hunky males and intelligent females, with all of the main characters being strong and brave, even as they face their fears. Even the main evil Bak-lal factory queen is fascinating. The reader gets a disturbing glimpse of her thoughts and frame of reference from time to time.

Here are a few other things I appreciated about Preyfinders (in no particular order):
•Katana
•Sparrow
•Knives and Forks
•Popstar
•Alice in Wonderland
•Doomslagger (I just like the word ‘Doomslagger’.)

With each of the three separate stories in the Preyfinders trilogy, I enjoyed learning more about the universe, the people out there, their culture and beliefs. Even though most of this series takes place on Earth, the fact that I have read Cyberella combined with what I learned in Preyfinders makes me wish the author would revisit this universe again.

By the way. Not that you have to read one to appreciate the other, but after reading Preyfinders, some of my questions from Cyberella are answered.

The author provided a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Book 1: Precious Sacrifice is Jadd & Brittany’s story. Jadd, an alien Igrakk warrior, after hurting a fellow officer is demoted instead of sentenced to death. His new mission is to find out if the pet creating drug the Igrakks have will work on humans and if not, Earth will be destroyed. Even though Jadd is to bond with the human woman, he is not allowed to keep her as his pet, no matter how strong the feelings between the two become. This series has a BDSM theme, master/slave relationship w/dubious consent. I loved the struggle that Jadd went through w/his feelings w/Brittany. The physical changes that her body went through was pretty cool. The sex was hot & heavy. The love that bloomed between these two was a joy to watch. The enemy is a nasty piece of work.

Book 2: Intimidator is Stom & Willow’s story. Stom is an alien and his home planet had to be destroyed. His bond mate and younglings were killed. He throws himself into his job as a hunter. As a reward he was told he was going to get to go to earth and get a pet. This is the last thing Stom wants but he can’t say no, so he goes to earth. He is greeted by Brask a preyhunter. Brask is going to help him acquire his pet, Willow is to be his pet. I loved how Stom had to struggle with his feelings between his dead mate and what could be his future mate. He figured out that he wanted her and made the decision to stay w/her before the effects of the separation set in. As I picked up my electric toothbrush this morning to brush my teeth I had a flashback to what happens in the book & broke up laughing. When what happened to Stom happened I actually yelled “noooooooooo” (I can’t tell you what happened w/o giving a spoiler away). Enjoyed watching the women come to grips w/their powers.

Book 3: Defiler is a combination of Talia, Brask & Dassenze’s story and Ally & Rimmel’s story (Ally & Rimmel’s story did start towards the end of book 2). Talia is a kick-ass, sword-wielding warrior who doesn’t have a submissive bone in her body. Igrakk warrior, Brask, doesn’t have romance on his mind. He’s always wanted a pet of his own and despite her bratty and defiant demeanor, he can’t seem to get enough of her. Ascend god, Dassenze, is inexplicably drawn to Talia as well, but bond mating isn’t something he can risk. As both alien men close in on their female prey, the fate of the world hangs in the balance. This is really a ménage story, m/f/m, no m/m involvement, though I would have liked to see that happen. Dassenze special “equipment” was intriguing (and no I’m not going to tell you what it is you will just need to read it for yourself). And besides the stories of the “bonded mates” you have the war going on which in true si-fi fashion, was scene after scene of battles where the women play just as big of a role as their warrior mates. Yes, it was somewhat gory but then again this is si-fi so expect death and destruction.

I really enjoyed this series and thank NetGalley for providing an ARC for an honest review.

Step into the futuristic world of Igrakk Warriors, Ascend and Factory Queens in Cari Silverwoods sci-fi world of Preyfinders. It’s full of action, intrigue, suspense, and kink that now read the three books in the Preyfinders series Precious Sacrifice, Intimidator and Defiler in this one complete volume.

It is hard to pick out my favourite book within this triology they are all unique and brilliant in their own way. I love the way Ms Silverwood draws the reader in with a nail biting storyline with strong female characters and alpha males that would want you to find a Preyfinder of your own but if I had to pick one I think Defiler would be my favorite I think the Ascend God Dassenze would have something to do with that with a certain roof top scene.

Without giving anything away and ruining the stories for you this triology is about four earth women , Brittany,(Precious Sacrifice) Willow(Intimidator) Talia(Defiler) and Ally (Defiler) each of them have their own individual story as well as the common threat of a war with the Bak La that run through the three books they need to come together to save the planet from complete destruction and end the Bak-La war that concludes in Defiler. Will they save Earth from doom? Or will the Factory Queen win?

Unfortunately this series ends in Defiler but I can see how the Preyfinders world could be extended as there is so much scope to extend the series.

I would highly recommend this book to those who love a good well written story, with a well executed and intense storyline that will leave you craving more of the Preyfinders It is action packed from the start of Precious Sacrifice to the very last sentence in Defiler and it's so hot you'll need numerous showers after reading.

So lock the doors, put on the kettle and hide until you've finished You won't be able to put it down and if you do it'll be to grab your partner or to look online to see if you can buy some nano chem

Book 1:
She lost her boyfriend a year ago and blames herself for his death. He has broken rules and now is sent to Earth. His punishment is to mate with her but can not have her in the end. By doing so his race can determine if Earth will survive or if they must be destroyed. But in the end can the pull the two feel towards each other save the earth and themselves?

Book 2:
This is the second book in the series. And you could read it alone, but I would suggest book one first.

The book starts by telling two stories of an alien man and an earth woman. By the end another pair have been added. It makes the books feel like an addiction for the next one.

Each male is testing the females to see if earth is suitable to be saved from a dangerous alien race that can take over a person and add them to their army. Along the way the males find that the females are more than just test subjects. And it seems that some females have hidden abilities.

Book 3:
This book pulls all the stories together and brings you a cool ending. The women have now come into their powers. And with the mating with their males it has even increased. Will it be enough for them to save the earth and the Galaxy?

"Do not worry over the unknown. the answer will be your in a moment."

So many questions and the answers are revealed in Defiler, the third in the Preyfinders series. Although easily read as a stand alone, you would not want to miss any of this amazing series. The factory queen is ready to destroy the Earth with her creepy and dangerous creations, yet the powers of four earth women when bonded with their alien lovers may hold the key to salvation.

Although I'm not a big sci-fi reader but Cari Silverwood's story hooks you for an imaginative tale of danger, battles, sex, love and desire. The heat level is completely out of this world!!

Defiler finishes the Preyfinders series, but there's still hope. The end leaves a hint of more, I hope a new series of these wonderful characters continues

What to say about these books....if you like sci-fi with a bit of horror and lots of hot sex, then you really need to check out Preyfinders: The Trilogy. There's something evil lurking underneath the surface of the planet and the good folks of Earth know nothing about this. That's where the Preyfinders come in. It's their job to rid the Earth of the evilness that is wanting to take over. These aliens not only swoop in and kick some major butt, but they fall in love with these amazing, strong, and fierce Earth women, who when working together, put Xena to shame. If you love Silverwood's other works, then you don't want to miss out on this fantastic series she has created. I found myself totally lost in these books and fell in love and very attached to the characters.

Wow what a ride. Ever since reading Anderson’s Claimed, I have been jonsing for a good alien romance without all the cheese and ridiculousness. This series was exactly what I needed. It has everything, being both steamy and romantic with the plot able to carry itself. Each couples’ was different from each other in both personality and dynamic. Each one took you on a separate journey and I was in love with each in every one. I will add the disclaimer that if you aren’t into rough sex and alpha males, then you should skip this one.

Loved this book and the two before it. It had great suspense and an awesome storyline to build from. My favorite part was close to the end of this book, where people realize what actually needs to be done to win!!! Don't want to spoil this for anyone else reading these. I would definitely recommend these books to my friends. Well worth the read!!!

I think this worked as a full novel best. The way that the story flowed from one book to the next made this work perfect. Overall I enjoyed the story and most of the characters. But I have a serious issue with how they use chemicals to make women want then love them, and occasionally with how certain ones were treated. I do love the alpha males, but it's not cool to keep calling your lover an 'Earth Bitch' even if by definition and explanation it's valid.

Precious Sacrifice
This story did not impress me much. And for being the first book in a series I really thought things would be explained more than they were. I know it was short, but it only makes sense to set a clearer backstory right off the bat. My biggest peeve was that you get the gist of what a Preyfinder is but it's never explained what they really do. There are bad aliens and good aliens out there. Though how good the good ones are is relative because as they travel across the universe they test the population of each planet they go to. If they fail their tests, every living thing is wiped out and occasionally the planet itself is destroyed. They do this so that those people cannot be changed by their enemy and used to increase their army. Is this right? I don't think so. But it's fiction so I'll go with it.

The story itself was interesting but probably could have benefited from being longer. While on a mission, Jadd injures one of his men and is stripped of his title for it. He's also assigned the punishment of going to Earth to chase his target and form a partial bond with her. The punishment comes from him not being able to complete the bond therefore making them both suffer. But apparently that's cool with his higher ups because his prey is going to die anyway. Brittney just doesn't know it. She's given doses of these nano chems that pretty much force her to want him while also determining if her species is worth saving. That's one thing that kind of bugged me. Her first real interaction with Jadd they pretty much just end up screwing each other for the rest of the night. After Jadd finds her again later, Brittney eventually is told she's being manipulated by this chemical, but she still thinks that she loves the guy. Really? I think at best they talked for only a few hours. Yup. That's true love there. Anyway. From there on it's pretty much just the two of them wanting the other. Her bond with Jadd is going faster than expected and he knows there's something about her that he just can't let her get killed even if it means defying an order. His decision could have had a terrible outcome, but it worked out in the end.

There's a battle with an enemy queen factory and some of her minions, but it seemed kind of glossed over. I felt like I missed something when certain things were already over before I even knew they began with this fight.

Going into the next book I was hoping it would be better than this one.

Intimidator
I did enjoy this one quite a bit more than the first. Stom and Willow were able to get to know each other just a little bit more before completing their bond and I think that made a big difference. The factory queen they defeated before was not the only one there and this time it's a little more cunning. Having created some terrifying ways to control people and take over the planet without suspicion this one is already doing greater damage.

Stom is almost like a military hero and that has the opposite effect of what he desires. He's so well known and respected that he's pretty much been pulled out the fighting and forced into politics. Something he hates. Being given a pet is an honor to most and now he's been given this gift. But he doesn't want it. Stom was already mated but he lost his mate and all his children when his planet had to be destroyed after the Bak-lal invaded. He vowed that he would never take a mate again and didn't want a pet. He knows he has to at least play along though, so he intends to do just what he must and then pretend to not capture his target. Which proves impossible for him when he is with Willow.

Willow is a pretty normal girl that does what she can to keep herself and her cousin safe. She has deep scars from losing her parents as a child but she tries to stay strong. Making a bad decision one night to save a girl only earns her a frightful enemy. And it's while being attacked in an ally that she first meet Stom when he saves her...with forks and dinner knives.

Stom was a pretty good guy. He fights his overwhelming desire for Willow with every breath he takes because of his vow to his dead mate but also doesn't want to hurt Willow. The more time they spend together the closer they become but the entire time Stom is still trying to figure out how keep her safe but not as a bond mate. That is taken away from him when they learn that, much like Jadd and Brittney, their bond is progressing much faster than usual. And the farther they are apart the more they physically suffer for it.

When Stom decides to officially bond with Willow they are attacked. Willow gets kidnapped and Stom is near death. As soon as Stom is healed and hears that Willow was taken by a remaining factory queen, Stom doesn't care if the humans see, he is going to get her back. So by the end, the two of them are happy together. But the Earth knows of their existence and they have a fight on their hands that will be hard to win.

I really liked Ally in this story and look forward to getting more of her. I did figure out one of her tricks, but the one at the end was a cool surprise too. I also loved seeing Brask and Talia. Their interactions are always great and I am so looking forward to them getting together.

Defiler
This one had ups and downs for me. I loved how Ally got her own prince in (non shiny) armor who was such a sweetheart and perfect for her. He wasn't like the other warriors and I really liked that. I have enjoyed Brask's appearances since the beginning so I was excited to get his story. Unfortunately I hated how he had to share his bondmate. To me, it made absolutely no sense that a warrior like him would not only be okay with having to share, but would want to. Not only that, I really don't think it added anything but drama to the story because a lot of it was Talia fighting her attraction to both men or Brask and Talia trying to convince Dassenze to complete his bond with her. It was just pointless to me and I didn't like that. It probably also didn't help that I did not like Dassenze. At all. He was too serious and arrogant for me. Talia was okay. I didn't like or dislike her. Though I was little upset when she didn't take the katana from Brask when he first offered it. That make me swoon a little more over him and I would have taken it in a heartbeat. I loved what Willow had become. Too bad it wasn't by something good. And it was so sweet that despite the danger, Stom was always by her side.

This story had a lot more going on than just Talia getting it on with her mates. We meet a couple new people, go on a road trip, there's tons of fighting, lots of killing, and an approaching deadline until the end of the world. The factory queen is cranking out the crazies (one of which totally reminded me of American McGee's Alice) and doing well at causing destruction. Where Dassenze once thought these Earth witches would be the key to victory, he eventually loses that hope when each one seems out for the count. But the four of them refuse to give up and they really do become the key to victory. It was pretty neat the way that their abilities worked perfect to come together and do what needed to be done. Even if the finishing blow seemed easy and convenient.

By the end, the world is rebuilding with help from the aliens and moving on. The bonded pairs have decisions to make and lives to live. Talia has two mates and couldn't be happier. The whole becoming an ascend thing was...interesting? And I still don't know if she ever got Brask's mark making her officially his bondmate. We're told all about the one she got from Dassenze, but nothing about his after we're told it wasn't forming. I could have done without the epilogue. It really was pointless unless the author intends to do more with this universe.

Interesting reversal of human fortunes…

Human beings as pets. I found this role reversal very intriguing as aliens invade earth and soon exert their mastery not over the land but the people. Especially the women… Warriors were tasked, among other things, to find a ‘pet’ of their very own. One to serve them in all ways. They were battle-hardened and knew how to use every weapon at their disposal to meet their goals…

I love sci-fi/futuristic romance and found these to be solid reads in the genre. While I had some difficulty with the master/pet concept that had more to do with the drug-inducing behaviour of the women then the writing. It added to the drama for sure but I would have loved to see more back and forth between the characters instead. A deeper connection as they battled their very different instincts…

I will be looking for reads by this author again.

*I happily reviewed this story

I have read most of Cari's Silverwood books, but this one was a bit different. It wasn't as dark as some of her other books. It doesn't mean that this book isn't good, because it is.

This series would make a great tv series. There are aliens; good ones and bad ones and the good ones are very hot. There are kickass heroines, who all haver their own strenghts. Then there is the fight to safe the planet and last but not least, some very steamy sex scenes. so If you love sci-fi, action and sexy you will love this book.

Well written. Couldn’t put it down.
But.
Not for everyone.
Very dubious concent. Pets. Drugging. Manipulation. Mild aggression.
But. I really liked it because it is much more realistic. I mean if you are getting kidnapped it’s probably going to be more like this.
I like the harsh reality.
I want to be a bit shocked and taken out of my comfort zone.
Still she gives us the HEA and edges are softened.
Definitely recommend for anyone who enjoys a bit of the dark side 🖤

Pretty good

Loved the first two books in the trilogy. Was not crazy about the Talia ménage. It was just too drawn out and a little icky. Great stories though. Interesting characters.

it really is such a brilliant story. Like all of the characters and kind of humor. Ms. Silverwood did a great job. I’ve decided I have to read it again

This was a rather odd book. I really loved the concept, creativity and thought planning of this book, BUT I was lost thru most of it. At the start of book 1 you are dropped into a world and mission that had so much background history that was not explained (at least not in enough detail for me). I kept stopping and looking to make sure I hadn't missed several books in the series. Even reading through books 2 & 3 I still felt like I was missing the deeper details of the story.

After saying all that, this book was HOT (especially book 3)!!! I was a little uncomfortable with the nano-chem used through the storylines (not going to spoil, you'll have to read for yourselves), but the author did a good job trying to explain and justify it.

Am I glad I read this book? YES!!!

Will I read it again? Probably not (at least not any time soon). I'm sure a second reading of this trilogy would help me understand a lot that I feel I missed, but I'm exhausted after finishing this. Between the lack of important information, or just my lack of understanding, it required a little too much thought processing for my tastes. I would definitely recommend reading some fluffy stories before attempting this ;-).
