These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world (John 16:33). "In the world ye shall have tribulation." That is a very strong statement coming from the lips of Jesus. Even more sobering is the part where He says, "Ye shall have." This is our guarantee there is nothing we can say or do to avoid trouble. So how do we deal with this predicament? After all, none of us are gluttons for pain! Let's take another look at the beginning of that verse from the gospel of These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have peace. This is the key to finding peace and comfort for our weary souls; it is found in Christ. So in spite of our troubles, it is our privilege as children of God to enjoy peace amidst the storms of life. Whatever difficulty you are going through, rest assured God is hurting with you. He is very concerned and wants to bring relief to your mind. It is my hope and prayer you will find comfort as you read through the pages of this devotional. May the peace of Christ rule in your heart.
