Gah! What a FANTASTIC way to finish a series! I really enjoyed the shift to third-person POV. It allowed for more explanation about certain things compared to staying in first-person POV. The story moved smoothly, bouncing between romance and tension nicely. I love the banter between Sophie and Oliver; it's so natural and real.

Even with all of the craziness happening in the book, we learn that life still moves forward with or without you. Yet, you get to choose on whether life is moving forward, dragging you along, or you're the one in the driver seat.

Congrats on a great series Elisa. I can't wait to read what you have up your sleeve next!

This book is so full of drama, conflicts and political issues. I love it. I love all of this book's glory. The final book in this fabulous series pretty much blew my mind, to the point of no return.

Just when you thought heartbreaks, tragedies and drama couldn't possibly happen again, it would catch you off guard when you least expect it to happen. This story is so full of twists and turns. But that's what makes it all the more interesting and intriguing that you just can't stop reading until the end. That's exactly what happened to me. I just couldn't help it that the story is too damn good.

Oliver Black is still charming and sweet as ever. He also values family so much and would pretty much do anything to protect the woman whom he loves dearly. He is the definition of perfect, if you don't already know.

*stares into the distance dreamily*

Sophie, way to go for your independency. Woman as strong as you don't need a man who would break you down. I'm talking about you, Oliver! But of course, he had sensible reasons on why he had to leave. Any man who would do such a thing to great extent deserves to be with the woman he loves.

Harrison and Nick are the cutest babies ever. They definitely inherited their parents good looks and charms.

It was the best feeling ever to read Oliver and Sophie's story once again. It was more of a pleasure, actually.

Elisa, you have written such a spectacular book once again. I would give you a round of applause and a standing ovation if I could.

I do look forward to read your other works in the future. I do sure hope that it will touch my heart like this series has. And experience the feel of heartache and love all over again.

I loved this book better than the first two. The story just came together more clearly than all the secrets from the first two books which for me was really hard to wrap my brain around. Sophie and Oliver are sexy, add to that these two little boys and all of these secrets unfolding that make for an unforgettable love story with a very happy ending.

It’s always such a bittersweet moment when you got the last book of a series in your hands. Like you’re dying to devour the book and find out how it’d turn out but you don’t want to touch it, moreover read it, because if you do and you reach the end, then the whole journey would be over. I found it really hard to pick up my Kindle and touch that cover of Brilliant Cut ARC on my shelf. It’s that kind of undeniable moment when you know deeply inside your heart that once you click on it, there’s no coming back to the feeling you had before you read it. You know that you can’t not read it but you resist because you want to prolong the journey with your favorite characters, even if it meant being stuck in the moment. I needed a couple of minute to breathe and made myself swear that I wouldn’t just devour it all recklessly ―that I would savor every pages.

Diamond in the Rough series started with an engaging first book, continued with a complicatedly heartbreaking sequel, and ended up with a brilliant conclusion of the whole series. As a debut author, Elisa really went all out with her debut series, and I’m not just saying it to sweeten my review and all. Elisa did her research, explored with the ideas, and gave her all to these books like, well, a mother to her babies. This series is what I would call the perfect definition of suspense romance. I've said this on my review of the second book, Black Diamond, and at some points I might have said it on my review of the first book. The suspense part and the romance part are pretty well-balanced in a way that won’t make you think certain part is standing out than the other.

This last installment of Diamond in the Rough series started out a little bit different than the first two books. The first page instantly brought me back to the memories of reading Robert Langdon’s adventure. The prolog had a vibe of Dan Brown in it and it made some thriller-maniac neurons inside of me come back to life. I loved it so much that Elisa put such great twist into the story, developing a whole new level of issues as she revealed practically every single mystery we’ve been dying to find the truth ever since she dropped them each for the first time.

Told from third person perspective, Brilliant Cut fast-forwarded to a few years after Black Diamond ended. Or if we’re going to talk from Sophie’s angle: after Oliver. Yes, our favorite couple went separate ways last time we saw them. And while it broke my heart to pieces, there were so many reasons why the ‘calamity’ had to take place on the first place. But it’s for good that I don’t talk about it all here.

Sophie Cavall, an ex-model, now-writer, tried to live a normal life after all the chaos happened in her life two years ago. Apparently, two years was enough for everything to change completely. Like how Sophie now had two parts of herself crawling and screaming around the apartment creating after-disaster-effect every day. And how, instead of having Oliver to keep her from being crazy, Sophie had a pediatrician who sometimes balanced out her craziness with his. It’s totally unthinkable before that there would be a day when Oliver would be just a name in her history book, but it was what had happened. But in all honesty, Sophie could very much moved to Alaska and dated a seal but Oliver would always be her personal sun that keeps her heart warm all these years and her skins tingling just by hearing his name. Some say true love is hard to forget. Some say it would be forever unforgettable. Some say it would be etched in eternity in your mind. Sophie proved them all right when she very much didn’t want them to be. What had happened between her and Oliver was too perfect, too beautiful, that it felt too painful when it’s over. But was it really over? Sophie was in the edge of a cliff of madness, by recalling and pushing the memories of Oliver every day of her life. If not because of her twin boys who needed her concern above everything, she would pretty much end up in an asylum the second Oliver walked out of their flat. And Sophie wanted to believe that she loved Adam. But could one give her heart out to someone when this other person still got a hold on that very heart? Wouldn’t it be ripped out in the process? No. Because the hold was so strong even Sophie felt herself barely living with that empty hole where her heart used to beat.
“Trying to forget you was like trying to forget my way home. I realized you can’t build homes out of people, because then you feel homesick for a place that no longer exists.” ─Chapter XI

Among the three books, Brilliant Cut had the quickest yet the most emotional plot of all. Elisa didn't play around by bringing up a lot of issues like politics, secret order, and some mind-games to bring our couple back together. It might sound too heavy for some but trust me Elisa is a pro in putting complex words together into a bedtime story without leaving the thrilling part. I seriously wanted to blurt out the whole book scene by scene but then I would be thrown away into the sea for being a spoiler brat. This book is that good that you’d feel like holding a presscon to tell the world how the story goes. I loved that nothing’s changed with either Sophie or Oliver. Sophie with her independency and Oliver with his controlled-possessiveness and sexy brain (I never even think about this phrase before meeting Oliver). I felt a lot of things at once reading this book. There was a lot of emotion in two days I finished it. Sophie’s kids got my full attention instantly. Their ‘normality’ was so Oliver, I felt like crying my eyes out that not many people could actually accept them.

There were so many ups and downs along the way, a lot of mind-blowing revelation that keeps making me question whether this was really Elisa’s first ever series. She wrote cleverly. She explored so many topics, putting a lot of exciting trivia, and the way she wrote Oliver’s character deserved rounds of standing applause. We all know how genius Oliver is. But let’s come to a realization that behind every unique and singular character, there is only one person in charge in creating them: the author, Elisa. I am starting to wonder if Elisa might be an agent or something in real life..

To put it shortly, Brilliant Cut made a fantastic conclusion to the story, thus, making the series a total excellent accomplishment. This series deserves more attention than it’s been getting until today. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND this series to everyone who happened to come across this review of mine. Elisa is a new gem in this writing world that is totally deserving of more recognition. And like a diamond, you might get a little too attached once you get to know her pieces.

I received an ARC of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Elisa!

CAN I GIVE THIS BOOK A BILLION STARS???

I absolutely love Elisa Marie Hopkins's writing. It's fresh, funny, punny (my favourite part!), and those Harry Potter references did not go unnoticed! I really enjoy the way Elisa adds in side notes/comments in brackets sometimes, really adding a personal touch to the book. (I totally do that when I write as well, so maybe I'm just ever so slightly biased to that style)

Now to the story. I STORMED through this book. I simply could not help myself. Every chance I got, I used; on the bus, walking to school (totally safe right?), before bed (for 3 hours)... This gave me torn feelings, because I knew this was the last book, but self control is not something that is within me when I read Elisa's books. As Sophie would say, "Just one bite. Fuck it. Hah! One bite, my ass." Well, with this book it's, "Just one more chapter. Fuck it. Hah! One more chapter, my ass." - True story.

This book made my heart race, it made me laugh, it made me tear up. Gosh darn it Elisa, how is it over *insert wailing gif*. Cries in corner. But I guess, all good things must come to an end, including the badass quotes I always highlight in her books, because they're always unbelievably epic. What a great finale, which was totally unpredictable, to one of (if not my) favourite series. Actually Elisa, you just totally snagged first place. *Standing Ovation*

Side note: Totally claiming "First Review" for this book

Sophie Cavall was the former it girl. This once top model is trying to balance work, family and a new romance. But when her ex-boyfriend goes missing she is dragged back into the world of secrets and conspiracies.

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review.

This is the final book in Elisa’s first series and I am so proud of her. She created a wonderful series that had romance, mystery, and a secret underbelly to New York. She added so many layers to her protagonist.

This wasn’t just a story about a hot model and her equally hot CEO. Sophie came from a broken family and was flawed. Oliver, the hot CEO, was probably my favorite character, he fell on the autism scale.

Throughout the series they learned from one anther and grew so much. This book just showcased how much they have changed since they met one another. While the plot of this book felt a little flat for me, I didn’t mind because this was such a character driven book.

I could read about these character for years to come. I really hope that Elisa will revisit these characters. Everything these characters have been through had a purpose. Sophie wasn’t flaw for the sake of being flawed. Oliver’s form of autism didn’t feel like a scapegoat for his broody behavior.

I give this book an A-.

I am just so in love with these characters and I have so much respect for Elisa. I have been lucky enough to receive arcs for the first two books as well. I wish her nothing but the best and I can’t wait to read her future books.

Brilliant Cut by Elisa Marie Hopkins is the final installment to the dashing series. I have come to love this series so much. Elisa Marie Hopkins has masterfully crafted an epic ending...The raw emotional pull and rollercoaster scenes sends readers like myself deep into the book's plot. Fast-paced and cleverly written, I have once again enjoyed reading this writer's work.

Brilliant Cut brings readers back into the romantic suspense world of Sophie Cavall. A model now, bestselling author and a mother. I love seeing how Sophie has grown as a leading character throughout the series. She's one that tugs readers into her life story and has them eating out of her hand. Her personality and charm earn her respect. However, the danger is not quite over yet. Readers will feel Sophie's heartache and sense the building of what is to come. Her love left her thinking he could keep her safe, yet nothing can stop the danger and now, Oliver not only has broken his love's heart but has to keep her alive...

Intriguing and full of action, I couldn't find myself to stop reading. The intensity of their love and the lurking danger keeps me hooked. Elisa Marie Hopkins knows how to entertain and keep readers guessing. The tale is deep, stunning, and addictive. The characters stand out and hold my attention from start to end. I enjoyed this last piece, it is indeed a brilliant cut...Overall, I highly recommend it to readers everywhere.

I received this ARC from Elisa for an honest review and here it goes....(No Spoilers Review)

***Sophie and Oliver have been through a lot while many people try to keep them apart. No matter what happens they always fall into each others lives and shit gets real and crazy more than anything but they always keep each other in their thoughts and hearts. The love never leaves while they go through up and downs.***

I honestly -LOVED- this Book (series)!
This book brought Politics, Drama and Love into place. I loved that Elisa gave us a little bit of everything between the three books but this one just hit it off with a bang and I fell in love with it. I felt like I was reading someones love story in real time. Its one of those reads that you simply feel happy then sad, while you laugh at different points throughout the book. It captivates you no matter what. So many characters but all in the right places.

Please if you haven't picked up this series you should! It was Brilliant ♥

My author idols rarely let me down, and Elisa is no exception. She took an interesting turn in this installment of DITR, which is always a risk but turned out well. My husband actually was more interested in this book when I talked to him than any other book (by that I mean he said more than 'hmm' when I went on a rant.)

I was pretty intrigued while reading the last chapter of book 2 about how Elisa would pull off Hablinski, but she did rather well. I have the pleasure of being married to a conspiracy theorist so none of what came up was new. XD

You know that moment when you're about 90% through the book and everything is awesome and you have this profound feeling of dread and anticipation because it's too perfect and something either has to go dreadfully wrong or become terribly anticlimactic? You get that feeling in this book.

There were also some lovely moments in the book that took me back to my own early days in my marriage, as well as the typical cheesy moments in Sophie's vocabulary. Overall, it's still early in Hopkins' career but she's off to a great start.

ARC…

Wow! Love this series! I tell ya, I loved the 1st book and couldn’t wait for book two. Then lost my mind at the end of two and didn’t think I’d survive until the final book came out. But I survived, and reread the 1st two over, but book three is just great!

This is a fast pace story. Full of twists, turns, mystery and excitement! Conspiracy theories watch out because this book tests what you think you know and maybe what could really be happening! I could not put this down.

I just have loved Sophie since the beginning. She is an amazingly strong woman with a great head on her shoulders. This book has none of that drama that some characters get hung up on. And with such a strong male character in Oliver it’s just too great to put down. I may have this as my book club book! I know my wine drinking partners, (I mean reading) would really enjoy this fast paced, easy, fun read!

If you like a book that takes you away but still believable, with romance, adventure and some hot sex this series if for you.

“Love is just a word until someone comes along and gives it meaning”

It was bittersweet to read the last book of the series, because I didn’t wanted it to end, is it too much to ask a little bit more of Mr. Black? …But at the same time I was desperate to know that happened with Sophie and Oliver after Black Diamond.

This last book had less drama than the last one, there was a part that I couldn’t believe was happening, I was reading still in shock, then start the eulogy, Elisa that was so “bleeping” funny, I was laughing so hard in the middle of the night, anyone would have thought that I was crazy.

I don’t know, call me a hopeless romantic or a cheesy one, but I love books with happy endings. Thanks for this adventure Elisa, I’ll wait for the next one!

Loved it!! Are 5 stars all I'm allowed to give?!! Because this was for sure my favourite from all three books. I don't like when this has to happen, say goodbye to a great story.

First of all, at the beginning I kind of lost track of time, like what, are the babies already born and who the heck is this Adam guy because I know it was Oliver. My memory isn't that bad, is it? This book is so full of twists and mistery, but it also has its funny parts.

I especially want to say CONGRATULATIONS Elisa! I believe you must have done your research and I noticed you were more playful this time with some scenes.
