De Mozambikaanse Rachel werkt als hulp in de huishouding in Johannesburg, bij Chris en Michelle Jordaan. Verscheurd door verdriet moet Rachel uit twee kwaden kiezen: alleen en zonder inkomsten terugkeren naar Mozambique, of blijven werken voor de mensen die verantwoordelijk zijn voor de dood van haar kind.

This story gives you insight into the lives of foreign nationals working in South Africa. Educated people not being able to get work in their own countries, work at low paying jobs to survive and also support their families left behind in their country of birth. Do we really 'SEE' these people? It is a heartbreaking story of a woman that actually gets work with decent people and how all their lives change forever because of a tragic accident.

I haven't read a book that has touched me as much as this book has. Excellent read that gives a view of how the other side lives.
