There’s a hot billionaire in the carpool line that has every mom putting on her lipstick before she drops her kid off to school.
Me included.
But I can’t be tempted by a body hewn from granite or eyes that could melt the polar ice caps… because that hot billionaire is also my boss, Ryan Sheridan.
Single moms like me can’t play with fire. Especially not when I’ve finally landed a job that pays a decent salary, and even managed to buy a townhouse where I can raise my son without my parents looking over my shoulder, shaking their heads.
So I’ll keep reminding myself that, even as his sapphire eyes pry their way into my heart, threatening to unlock the secrets that I keep hidden in a dark corner of my soul.
My past could destroy the life I’ve built for my son and me.
I can’t afford full disclosure.
*Full Disclosure, Book Two of the Homefront: The Sheridans series, is a stand-alone romance with no cliffhangers.*
When Kate Aster was in fifth grade, she wrote her debut novel on a spiral-bound notebook–a science fiction which ended with the tragic destruction of all humanity.
Fortunately, she’s gotten a lot more upbeat.
Now preferring romantic settings and blissfully happy endings, Kate just released her eighth book available on Amazon.
Kate is an avid snorkeler, “beach read” fanatic, and margarita connoisseur. She is so grateful for the support and positive reviews from her readers. Thank you!

I love this Sheridan Series. If you didn't read book one please do because it introduces you to many of the characters you will find throughout the series. In this book you will be introduced to Ryan and Kim's love story. I also love the fact that they are both single parents. I was glad to see that the author tied books one and two together. I can't express how wonderful and easy to read these books are.
Ryan billionaire single hot dad, Kim single mom doing her best
Ryan is now the CEO and has a lot of responsibilities at his families business. Also now a full-time single dad to his daughter Hannah who is the light of his life.
Kim is a single mom who is always struggling. Pregnant young and dropped out of college. Living at her parents house with her 4 year old son Connor. She catches a break when she lands a job at Ryans company and Logan sells her a townhouse dirt cheap so she can get of her parents house.
Ryan's daughter Hannah is now in private school. Having smaller classes this will help her because of her ADHD that they can't medicate. Connor and Hannah attend the same school now so Ryan and Kim run into each other and instantly spend more time together. Kim is sure this will not last because she is his employee and of course those terrible secrets she has.
Love the secrets are revealed Ryan shows his true colors by being a wonderful loving standup guy.
In FULL DISCLOSURE, both Ryan and Kim are single parents to their young children. They're attracted to each other, but Kim is hesitant to act on it because Ryan is her boss and because her son's father is a secret to everyone, and she plans on keeping it that way. Kim was nice. She doesn't have much, but she gives what she can and she absolutely adores her son. Due to an event in her past, she lacks confidence and questions herself often, which I found a little annoying. Ryan, on the other hand, was great. This is a man who gave up his dream to take over the family business to keep the family's legacy alive. But he's more than just a billionaire CEO; he donates his time flying sick kids to hospitals, he loves his daughter very much, and he truly cares about his staff and the community at large. I have to say though that my favourite part was reading about his OCD. The eggs and the money had me laughing out loud because that is so me.
FULL DISCLOSURE is told in dual POVs and while it's part of a series, it can be read as a stand-alone. I don't mind a little bit of a lead-up to the big reveal, but I didn't like the constant inner-monologue Kim had about her secret. What I did like is that Ryan's ex-wife didn't re-appear. I kept expecting her to show up and cause trouble, because let's face it, sometimes books can be predictable, but we never heard from her again after the prologue, and I am very glad it was written that way.
Ryan seems a tough nut to crack and Kim is dealing with being a young single mom. You can see each has a struggle in their life but seem to click. Looking forward to reading next in series.
Kim is toooo self conscious and I can't understand why Ryan likes her. 😕 The first book was really nice! Both Allie and Logan had clearly defined personalities, it was really sweet.
Book 2 was exactly what I was hoping for - Ryan and Kim getting together, even with the hidden secret she has kept to herself for nearly five years.
Who in the heck is Amelia and why did Ryan cancel last-minute so that he could be with her in New York?
This series just keeps getting better and better. Book 3 - "Faking It" with Dylan (Olympic medalist turned MMA fighter turned billionaire entrepreneur) and Cass (in a sweltering 40-pound princess gown).
Read the whole 'Homefront: The Sheridans' series. It just keeps getting better and better.
X. 4 stars. This was MUCH better than the first book of the series. I just had more depth of character. I loved the single parent storyline and how they overcome the challenges that brings. Kim’s very personal struggle was emotional and draws the reader into her reality and tough decisions. It transcends words for a woman to find the light in herself she deserves. Also, Ryan was just a rock steady good-guy & good father. What isn’t sexy about that?
Steaminess (1 low - 10 hot): solid 5 1/2 not too over the top or too little, good balance.
This is a good romance book but the sex scenes were a little.. dull. I just don't get why they add the word cock and literally censor all other words for the female body. Actually the author literally put "folds" instead of pussy. Sorry for being so blunt here. But how do the folds grip the- Yeah ok I won't go there.
Sorry for just focusing my review on the sex scenes lol. Still a good book and I recommend it!
Enjoyable and easy to read. Ryan is managing to decrease his work hours and be present for his daughter who now lives with him full time. Kim is a single mom who just managed to get a stable job in Ryan’s company.
Kim’s story could be a trigger for some.
Otherwise their story is endearing, the children are charming, the families are generally loving and a sweet HEA.
I love this book. This series. It deals with hard hitting subjects but not in a in your face way. Kim’s struggle as a single mum just show that the love a mother has for her child is everything.
Kate Aster has done it again. I thoroughly enjoy the plots she cooks up. Give an every day gal a hunk of a billionaire with a fabulous family and we’re all happy! Characters and reader’s alike!
I enjoyed the first book because it was more believable. The main characters in this book fall I. Love “the first time they lock eyes”, which I always struggle with as being possible. That being said, it was nice that both characters were single parents struggling to find love in a small town.
I read the first and now the second in the Sheridan series. A wonderful story about recovery from past trauma. It's not the usual billionaire love story.
My first read by this author. Worthwhile. Kept me interested. A bit predictable. Im a sucker for NO violence and a happy ending so I’ll look for more by Kate Aster.
I love all your books!! Can't wait to read the next in the series. I highly recommend all your books, especially the Special Ops Homefront Series!! I always buy your books. Keep writing these wonderful books!! Thank you Kate!!!
---------------------------------------
Those who've already read the first book of the series, already met Kim and Ryan. Kim, single mother and one of Allie's best friends and Ryan, billionaire, single father and Logan's brother. Kim is working at JLS Heartland's now, Ryan's and Logan's firm and lives in one of the townhouses next to Allie and Logan.
As Ryan's daughter Hannah is going to the same school as Kim's son Connor, the two of them meet in the carpool line in front of the school. When Allie and Logan and some dogs searching for a new home get thrown into the mix there might be some ... coincidences... that serve at bringing Ryan and Kim closer. However, it's not as easy as that as Kim has a secret that keeps her from really opening up to Ryan and the possibility of a life with him.
The author once again creates wonderful and interesting characters and a convincing story that captivates the reader from the first page till the last. The fluent and humorous style and the right pinch of romance ensure an absolutely enjoyable reading experience!
Ryan is now the CEO of JLS which employs a huge part of the Newton City and now Kim, a single mom raising her four-year-old by herself, is working in the HR department. Ryan has just gained custody of Hannah his daughter and both children attend the same school. They meet in the car pool drop off one morning when Kim rescues him from the PRO chairman, from signing him up for several fund raising committees.
From this point in the book, both Ryan and Kim soon start dating, even the unspoken rule JLS has is no dating an employee, they book share a love of their children, the city they live in, Logan and Allie (from the previous book) animal shelter and soon each other. But I'm has a secret that could break them up of only she could tell him about Connor.
I loved catching up on Logan, Allie, Cass, Dylan and now Ryan and Kim. Ms. Aster is a very talented author with two wonderful series books that will keep your interest from the very first sentence.
This is a well written story of two people with one child each coming together in a most unusual way. I loved the somewhat normal life in small-town America with good humor and suspense. Kate Astor is a great author.
Don't know how you do it. I have loved every book and can't wait for the final book in the Homefront series. With Kate's books you laugh, you cry, and you melt. The way you write characters warts and all, I feel the same way about chocolate eggs...and the scathing indictment of new math priceless! Keep it up and I hope that you can quit your day job soon so we don't have to wait so long. Read them all then read them again!
