Can you ever really know someone's true intentions?

In ONE SUMMER, 22-year-old recent nursing graduate Amy is headed to Greece -- much to her parents' chagrin. They want to keep her home in Arizona where they can keep an eye on her. Amy wants adventure, though, and quickly falls for her gorgeous Greek professor, Dimitri.

When Amy finds out that her Greek god is married, and meets his beautiful wife, Lydia, she is torn between her attraction and respect for their marriage. Then when Lydia makes Amy an offer she can't refuse, she struggles with the possibility that if it seems too good to be true, it probably is.

Despite her concerns, eventually she gives in to Lydia's encouragement, and Amy and Dimitri's passionate affair is everything Amy has ever dreamed of. What starts out as a breezy summer fling, however, becomes a struggle for happily ever after when the lovers are faced with the ultimate betrayal. They must learn to trust again in order for their love to survive, but is it too much to ask?

I was provided with a complimentary copy of this book, through Reading Deals, so I could give an honest review.

This is Amy & Dimitrios' story, set in Greece in the summer of 1995. It was well written and I loved the setting. Amy is a young nursing student from Arizona who spends a summer in Greece attending a seminar at the University of Athens Medical School and meets the love of her life, Dimitrios Speros, the doctor who teaches the seminar. Little does Amy know that fate has plans for her and her life will irrevocably change.

I have to say, that although this book was well written, I was kind of creeped out when the setup of their whole relationship was revealed. In fact, their whole relationship creeped me out, not because it was gross, but to find out that the twist was the sole cause of everything was just unsettling. Sorry I can't be more clear about this, I don't want to give out spoilers.

So, on the whole, this was well written, but really unsettling.

Is there a specific topic that the book deals with?
Erotic Romance with a twist

For what readership is it written?
Great quick or vacation read. Easily to get into and holds you attention span throughout.

Did you have any preconceived notions of the topic?
I thought this would be your typically romantic/erotic novel but it quickly came with an unexpected twist. It’s nice to be thrown for a loop when the expected becomes the unexpected.

Did I like this book?
It was interesting. It kept my attention. A little unrealistic at time times but that’s typically what the average of these books want.

Will you like this book?
I would recommend this book for what it is with a small twist.

Will I read more by these authors?
Not sure would have to do some more research.

The story line had me addicted from the beginning to the end, I stayed up on a work night just to finish the entire story at 2am. It was awesome. The characters captured my attention. Dimitri captured my heart. I was on the edge, laughing, felt bad, and just enjoying the story line over all, loved the ending!!!!! It was overall a very emotional but well written story, started a little slow for me, but then it turned real fast to something addicting.

Wow, this was a great read. I read very few books that I would classify as romance, but the blurb intrigued me. The story sucks you in and doesn't let go until you're done. Perhaps the last 20% may have been a bit rushed, but I only say that because I could have easily enjoyed another 100+ pages. I guess it needs to be wrapped up sometime ;)

I highly recommend this novel.

Hot & Heavy with a Purpose

This was a good romance novel that shows what happens when a trist becomes a complicated mess. I liked the romance/erotic edge to it combined with the secret brewing in the background.
