While a newly mortal Leo is out for a walk with Wyatt and newborn Chris, demons trap the Charmed Ones in the house and take them to the Underworld, where they are imprisoned by demon scientist Dr. Gnivik, who plans to steal the Power of Three. When Leo returns to find the house empty and in even more disarray than when he had left, he tries to piece together what happened, but can't. Due to his recent fall from grace, the Elders ignore his calls. What is he to do? With no other options and no magic of his own, Leo becomes desperate.
Using a spell from the Book of Shadows, his sons' magic, and a sliver of unicorn horn, he calls the future versions of Wyatt and Chris back to the present. Together, the Halliwell men go in search of The Charmed Ones. With Dr. Gnivik nearing success and the sisters powerless to stop him, it's up to Leo and the boys to save the day....

I was born and raised in Philadelphia where I lived a typical childhood with a far more interesting fantasy life. I mean, how many other eight year olds were sticking their Star Wars action figures in Ziploc bags filled with water and putting them in the freezer to recreate the ice planet of Hoth? (Really? That many? Never mind.)
After college, I moved to Los Angeles and was very lucky to get a job as a page at Paramount Pictures only months after I got into town. I worked as a tour guide and usher, and I performed temp office work around the lot.
Eventually, I took a position working in the studio's licensing department where I quickly worked my way up to middle management.
After a while, one of my friends in the publishing industry offered me the opportunity to write a Buffy, The Vampire Slayer short story for a collection she was editing. Well, when I heard how little money I could make as a writer, I immediately quit my job to try it full time. (Stupid, I know, but it kind of worked for me.)
I started out by writing books based on such wonderful TV shows as Star Trek, Roswell, and Sabrina, The Teenage Witch. I have since written over 30 books based some of the best shows on TV, adding The West Wing, Alias, and Prison Break to that ever growing list.
While I continue to work on these media tie-ins, I have also been focused more on my own original fiction, including my teen series DRAMA! and the Simon Pulse Romantic Comedy Love, Hollywood Style.

I enjoyed how this book featured Leo more, but was disappointed that Chris and Wyatt didn't play as big of a role as you'd expect.
The bad guy in this one was creepy, but in a different way than most villains of the show. While he was a demon, his evil was more that of an evil scientist.
The ending was nice and wrapped things up pretty well. I thought it was cute that we got a glance, albeit a small one, of Leo and Piper's third child.

2022 52 Book Challenge - 14) A Character With Superhuman Ability
It was nice to see a book that was primarily from Leo's perspective, but considering that they're on the main cover, I'm a little disappointed that Chris and Wyatt were basically pointless in this book. They were barely in it, and by the time you do see them doing anything, they could have been replaced by the Charmed Ones anyway.

As a Charmed fan, I was really disappointed with this book. I mean, I just wanted to read about Wyatt and Chris, not about the Charmed sisters. That's what the synopsis says anyway, so I was kind of pissed off that there were hardly any parts with them. Plus, the plot was ridiculous. Like, come on. I could have come up with a better story than that AND used Wyatt and Chris more.

I wanted to read this particular novelization because it focused on Leo with grown-up Wyatt and Chris, but it was terrible. I don't usually expect brilliance from novelizations, but this one just wrote the characters in a way that I never pictured. Frankly, stick with the fanfiction. It's better.

I loved the part about Leo and the boys, I especially loved the characterization of Chris and Wyatt. But I disliked the characterization of the Charmed Ones and I was bored with their struggle.

This book was awesome. I loved the boys being there so much and their banter was perfect. I love Chris and Wyatt as adults. I wanted more of that on the show, but only got a like 2 episodes of adult Wyatt and one of him and Chris both as adults. Loved Chris in the season and hated when he left. So, after watching that season again I dug this book out and read it.
Leo's human in this not long after the episode Imaginary Friend in season seven when Piper had brought Wyatt from the future then. Leo has to do it this time because the sisters get kidnapped and taken to the underworld. He needs his sons from the future to help get them back.
This mad scientist Dr. Gnivik who we find was sent by Zankou to capture the sisters for reasons. One being to test them.
They have to fight to get out, but they have no powers after what the Dr. does. Leo and the boys go on the rescue mission to the underworld. They find their mom and aunts. They of course can't take out Zankou because they know the ultimate battle that is coming has to take place.
I wish we had more books with the boys as adults. This was excellent and I wanted it to go on a little more too.
I liked Nisha as well who is a magic school witch. This other woman named Xandra was nuts. I liked how Leo tricked her big time and how Nisha also dealt with her.

Okay... I read this book in a hurry, in the middle of another emotional obsession season of "My Life with the Charmed Ones" and I'm pretty sure that my opinion about this book isn't objective.
This book is quite good. Finally we can see (or in this case) read how is the real Chris and more about its realionshop with Wyatt, and let me tell you: i love it!
That's what I needed in my life!
About the plot, I know I shouldn't ask for more so I'll just say it's ok even though I expected more. I really liked how the author has captured the personalities of the characters perfectly.

Not a bad story at all, interesting premise and nice to have a story that’s more centered around Leo and shows us his perspective on things. This one felt really true to the show aswell with magic school, Chris and Wyatt being there and Zankou being mentioned as well. Really felt like it was part of Season 7 rather than a disjointed story

I think this may be the most accurate Charmed book I’ve ever read from the original paperback run. I’m not surprised to realize it was written by Paul Ruditis, since the comics and later books he wrote tend to all be great. I’m happy a book finally acknowledged Chris and was completely able to be fit within a specific time in the series.

I bought this book in 2019 because I had a major crush on Chris 😂 I liked getting to see what Chris and Wyatt end up like as adults. I also like the sweet interactions between Piper, Leo, and their adult sons

Having these extra stories of the Charmed world is great.
I grew up with Charmed and any day with some Charmed in it is a good day.
A lovely easy read, with enough action and adding a little extra layer to the episodes

Quite a good book, though let down by some minor issues (Paige referred to as a "stepsister", 2 pages out of order, the villain a bit eyeroll-inducing).

Read this a while back and was a little disappointed with the story in some places especially with how Dr. Gnivik was written. He appeared to have some potential but the character was falling flat for me. I did relish Leo's time with his adult sons. Leo with his sons practically saved the book since we seldom see it back in the show saved for glimpses in the future (visions) or AU Charmed world.

This is probably one of the worst books I've ever read, Twilight included. It's really telling when the book itself isn't even put together in the right order--there were at least four pages that had been mixed around. Trying to decipher that little code was annoying enough, but when adding it onto the horrific writing style and the completely inaccurate characterization of the Charmed sisters, I seriously have no idea why I even finished this book, except to sit here and tell you how bad it is.
I don't expect this to be an award winning novel. It's a 200 max page story in a spinoff book series of the television show. But seriously, every other sentence used the verb "was" as its active verb, and there were certain paragraphs that literally said the exact same thing three pages ago and had no business being in the places they were. The story was disorganized and misleading--you'd expect the book to be about Leo and his relationship with Chris and Wyatt, but instead,
I'd say what was most aggravating about this book, errors and clutter aside, is that in the novel, each of the Charmed sisters is faced with a different task/puzzle. (I didn't tag that part because it's hardly spoil worthy, but...when it comes to Phoebe's task and where she ends up, I cannot tell you absolutely appalling it was to see certain things, like
Overall, this spinoff novel of the Charmed series was unimaginative, poorly written, and frankly should be thrown off the shelves for its blatant disregard of the characters themselves. No.

I love the Charmed TV series and read this because I love the show so much. I found that while I liked the book, the show is definetly better for the magical aspects, pacing etc. This might be biased as I loved the show so much but I thought that it was a good read but I would pick the show over these spin off books any day.

Disappointed with this book. I'm a massive fan of Charmed and I was hoping this was going to hit my high standards but it didn't. The plot didn't really seem logical or something that would have happened in the Charmed universe, the characterization wasn't really there. The one redeeming quality was Chris and Wyatt, two of my favorite characters.

I liked this story because future Wyatt and future Chris were involved, and all the magic they used to save the Charmed Ones. What I didn't like so much was the bad guy of this story. It all sounded a little bit too weird, with that doctor and his experiments.

this was one of the novels tied into the later seasons so it was nice and easy to read. I like all of these for the most part anyhow, this one was interesting and not too over the top
