WOW! SPECTACULAR well written fast paced creative reads by a genuinely gifted author. I absolutely relish this series, a mini soap opera in a book that comes to an end with a heart-melting conclusion, a most gratifying read. The interaction between the characters is fabulous as they spring to life with the plot, passion and powerful scene descriptions. The twists and turns keep you glued to the story, and the romance sizzles. Tristan's unwavering devotion for Annie shines like a dazzling star, Annie is definitely the Queen Of Hearts, and Isabelle proves to be a most valiant heroine. As I am sorry to see this saga end, I know the author will create more stories filled with intrigue and romance. If you dote on shifter stories with suspense, romance, and awesome characters, this is an excellent choice for your library. {I gifted these books and this is my completely honest review}. In the world of shifter romance the possibilities are endless and always fascinating. Without reservations I highly recommend this set and the series.

Plot: Tristan has come to Maine supposedly to ask if they can buy some land and relocate his clan. They are polar bear shifters, and their traditional lands are melting. But he and his twin sister, Isabelle, have really come with ulterior motives. They are meeting with others in the area to try and take over the lands and establish themselves as alphas. One of the ways in is through Annie, sister to another alpha. However, it turns out that Annie is his fated mate, and now Isabelle is sure that he can't through with the plan, even though he says he can betray his mate if necessary. In the meantime, Isabelle hooks up with Luke as a temporary mate and someone who is going to help them in their nefarious plan. Keith, a member of Annie's clan, meets his new mate, Tori, but feels she might be too young for him. Lucy, who is Tori's roommate, meets her mate, Sven, who is a member of Tristan's clan. He's a little feral, but absolutely devoted. His twin brother is a problem though, because he believes he is also Lucy's mate. While all the new clan members are settling in there in Maine, there's a new problem: Tristan and Isabelle's mom. She's bipolar and dangerous. Isabelle is going to take care of the problem once and for all, and in that pursuit, she meets Jean Luc, who calls to her in a way that Luke never dead. Finally, there are human hunters in the mix.

Character development: That was the most confusing plot summary I've ever written, and the reason is that the characters are crossed throughout each of the nine parts of the collection. It might not be as confusing if you read each part as a separate book - I don't know. But there were so many people, so many connections, and some of them I'm sure were more fully explained in previous books, but that didn't help me here. Having more than one couple in each book wasn't helpful either when I was already confused. I'm not a fan of books with too many people in them anyways - I like the focus to be on the couple developing the relationship. I think the format here didn't do the stories any favors.

The Bears Are Back

I really enjoyed this series. The writing is engaging. The action is great. I love how the characters are multifaceted. Even the antagonists twist and turn my attention and engage me.

Annie is a personal favorite. From her first appearance, I've been invested in her story.

Well 4 young ladies start dreaming about men and bears. In their dream they have great sexual experiences with huge men. Annie the Prime sister, unable to have children. Has met her second true mate, Lucy, college Werebear and Carly’s half sister, is working at the tattoo parlor and learning to love her sister. Tori, Lucy’s college roommate and Isabelle, Tristan’s sister (introduced at the end of Called by the Bear) all have big decisions to make due to their calling. One has to choose between two men. One has come to commit murder and mayhem, one has to find happiness with a man who lost his true mate and Annie has to deal with Tristan’s polar bear whims and try to get alone with his clan and a mom who has damaged lives. Again each story is poignant and strife with trials and it isn’t all HEA but comes pretty close at the end. This story benefited from storylines in Called by the Bears.

Loved this series and can't wait to continue it, but have ARC commitments that must interrupt my reading of this great werebear series.

I bought this on my own after I got a sample starter from Instafreebie and it is one of the best series readings of shapeshifters I have had the pleasure to read. I can't wait to continue all the individuals stories, but I am looking for as much "complete series" as I can instead of paying for each individual book as I did at the beginning with "Called by the Bear". That is where I started the series; I don't know if it starts even before that....But ladies get the complete "Called by the Bear" and then this is the continuation, the complete of "Tempted by the Bear" and as I will, follow from there.

This is the most amazing series. I read it all in one day. The plot, the characters are so good. This is a continuation of the Called by the Bear series. This focus is on black bear Annie, her True Mate polar bear Tristan and his sister Isabelle. We get to meet new characters too with Tori, Sven and Jean Luc. The plot is fantastic. Very fast paced and suspenseful. Lots of great romance. Loved the ending.

Amazing

This set is nothing I’ve read before. The characters are so involved in each other, the passion , the caring that comes from them towards friends , family and love ones is simply charming.
The author conveyed so much emotions. The banter alone is what one wants and appreciate the most. The lust and love written for the characters are bar none magical.
I recommend this and the complete bear set wholeheartedly.

Lots of threads

Found that you are immersed from the very beginning with lots of characters and threads scattered over four families. True mates abound and enemies crawl out of the woodwork throughout. There is enemies to lovers, enemies to friends, betrayal and love. While a little confusing sometimes with the sheer number of plots and twists, once you get into it you will not be able to put it down! Lots of character development, complex relationships, love and heat

Shifters meet their true mates but all have obstacles standing in their way for making their lives work for their HEA endings. You get a lot of reading from this set. I highly recommend this book series. The characters are easy to follow and well developed and each character has a unique role.

This book had me bitting my nail. Some many character get involved to find there true mate. To have the clan become one unit. Love it all to the end of beautiful winter princess. If your looking for something different. Love , betrayal, children and good read for book club. This is it ladies!!!

Love the bears

The way this story is written keeps your attention on what's going on. It can get a bit confusing as there is a lot of switching between characters, but you easily can keep up as the storyline doesn't go off track. I really enjoyed the honesty portrayed in this collection and gathering together in a crisis.

The parts did not transition well. Definitly was written piecemeal in my opinion. I don't think the author intended to write this long with this cast of characters, and it shows.

Some editing mistakes, missing words. I've read V. Vaughn before, I usually like her work. This one, not so much.

Amazing series of books about bears

This series is not written by title but by parts of the whole series. I will do a review on each part. They seem to switch back and forth but they come together at the finale.

Part 1 is about Annie, who is a black bear shifter and worried about joining her bear clan to another but to do that she has to mate with Tristan, who is a polar bear shifter. She knows Tristan is her mate and she is tempted to give in. However, he has the worst manners of anybody she met. Will they ever get together?

Part 2 is about Isabelle, who is a polar bear shifter and sister of Tristan. She is upset because Tristan's has replaced her with Annie. So she has taken up with another clan member named Luke. They have created a temporary Bond. Will that be enough?

Part 3 is about Annie finding out that Tristan has triplets daughters and a mother-in-law who is coming soon Plus other members Tristan's Clan. Would they ever be ready in time?

Part 4 is about Annie finding out the truth about her mother-in-law to be Helga. She is bipolar. She hires Zoe to protect the triplets. How will that affect Annie new family?

Part 5 is about Lucy relationship with Sven, who is the polar bear, never been to school, and true mate to her. Tori is Lucy's roommate and has been called to be Keith's mate. Will these relationships work?

Part 6 is about Helga running away to Canada with Tristan and Isabelle trying to find her while they are entering in the others Clan's territory. Tori is changed by Keith into a bear. How how will these changes affect Annie?

Part 7 is about Lucy thinking that Sven is her mate, but what about his twin who is also her potential mate? What is happening between Helga and Isabelle?

Part 8 is about Tristan revealed the real reason he mated Annie. Isabelle has been rescued by Jean Luc, is his mate, supposed to save him, and is magical. What is happening now?

Part 9 is about the final installment. Inez and Tristan's triplets are kidnapped. Who kidnapped them? Isabel finally figures ditch time to talk to her brother. Will love conquer all?

This book has been going back and forth like a serial TV show. That's the interesting thing is about it and the author makes the readers visualize it easily. The characters are fascinating out they build up and evolved at the story progresses. But you need to read several books beforehand like Desired by the Bear and Called by the Bear box sets.

There is also an excerpt from Rocked by the Bear. It is about Adrian and Vanessa being true mate.

Highly recommend these books by the author.

My emotions were running all over in this series. Now to continue on with more, I am going on to the next series Desired by the bear. It's getting good...
