No Holding Back

Rate this book
A romantic European vacation is the perfect excuse to let go in this highly anticipated sequel to No Love Allowed by Kate Evangelista.

Everyone knows that Nathan is in love with his best friend, Preston…Everyone except Preston. Nathan has always accepted that Preston was too focused on his swim training to worry about love. But Preston is heading off to train for the Olympics soon, so if Nathan wants his chance at love, he has to speak up now. But saying “I love you” is surprisingly difficult, even for someone as confident as Nathan. Maybe a whirlwind vacation in Europe could help? But… what if it doesn’t work out and he loses the best friend he’s ever had?

I really enjoyed the second book in this series. So glad to find out at the end that there is going to be a third! I wasn't sure at first if i would like it as I havent read a love story involving a gay couple. But it was still a love story and I am happy with any love story. Im a hopeless romantic waiting for my prince charming. Until then i'll read books like this one. If you loved the first you will love the second.

I had seen No Holding Back previously mentioned on the Swoon Reads website and when the opportunity arose to take part in a promotional tour for the book, I leapt at the chance. I have to say, I was not disappointed by what I read. This novel is the 2nd in the Dodge Cove series HOWEVER, you can read this one without reading the first book first. The story follows Nathan and Preston, two close friends. Nathan, an event and party planner and Preston, a swimmer with ambitions to go to the Olympics.

The novel follows their journey from leaving Dodge Cove and travelling all over Europe as Nathan starts to fall head over heels in love for Preston. Having kept things a secret until now, this journey around Europe could change everything. I love how the romance wasn’t predictable, there were twists and turns at every corner which kept me reading till the end. Both showed a clear emotional connection to each other, I enjoyed Kate’s writing style and descriptions of the places the guys visited (Paris, Cork, Venice) to name a few. Would happily recommend this novel to readers of LGBT and those who like their M/M Romances with a journey of self-discovery.

I have always loved the BFF to more plot line and coupled with Nathan as one of the MCs and I was sold.

I loved Nathan from the first book, so I was thrilled to see that we got this book and it was awesome being in his head. He's confident and insecure and his inner monologue is so authentic. Preston needed some shaking. He's a good person, but laser focused on swimming and that boy needed to buy a clue.

Sure the structure of the plot was a bit predictable, but it was sweet and swoony and heartbreaking. Extra fun seeing Caleb and Didi. I really enjoyed every page of this book. Now I'm ready for my Tash book, please.

**Huge thanks to Swoon reads for providing the arc in exchange for an honest review**

Nathan has been in love with his best friend Preston for years, only Preston is oblivious to everything that happens around him, because he's so focused on his swimming career. His dream is to be a successful Olympic swimmer. He's tried out for his dream team, but he has to wait a month for the results to come in. Nathan thinks he needs a distraction and he's determined to take Preston away from his sorrows during their last few weeks of freedom.

Nathan has always been supportive of Preston's dreams and is cheering from the sidelines. He has a busy life, but he makes sure he has plenty of time for his best friend. Nathan loves parties and likes nothing more than planning them for other people, so he's setting up his own business. Preston's mother is his first prestigious client and she can give Nathan's career an enormous boost. Before her terribly important event Nathan takes Preston to Europe though. Will he finally have the chance to tell Preston how he feels and does he dare to risk their friendship?

No Holding Back is an incredibly sweet love story. Nathan is very easy to like. He's enthusiastic, he has good taste, he's cheerful and he's kind to everyone around him. He's a fabulous whirlwind and his animated chatter kept putting a smile on my face. Preston's main focus is swimming and he needs the water to make sense of his feelings. He's pretty single-minded and focuses mainly on two things, swimming and spending time with his best friend Nathan. He's a caring guy with a lot of talent and promise. Nathan and Preston are endearing together and they treat each other with so much tenderness, love and sympathy that it's obvious they're meant for each other. I couldn't wait to find out if their journey through Europe would bring them what they both need the most.

Kate Evangelista has a wonderful sensitive way of looking at the world. It's what I like most about her books. She writes about true love in all forms. She also makes the imperfections in the personalities of her characters their most adorable characteristics, which is something else I like a lot about her stories. Her writing has a nice natural flow and she writes books I just have to read in one sitting. I can never put them down and am always spellbound by the way she describes emotions. There's so much going on between Nathan and Preston and most of it is cute, but there's an underlying layer of depth in the form of insecurities about the future and the consequences of risking a childhood friendship as well. Nathan is the outgoing one and while Preston is quiet he has plenty of lovely hidden qualities. I fell in love with both of them, they're absolutely amazing and they have great chemistry. I highly recommend No Holding Back, it's such a charming fast-paced romantic story.

No Holding Back is the second book in the Dodge Cove series, but you needn’t have read the first one to enjoy this one (I didn’t!).

This book was originally brought to my attention (not only because of that gorgeous cover) through Bookevin’s awesome review, and I knew I had to pick it up IMMEDIATELY.

I haven’t dabbled in much of SwoonReads’ catalogue and I’m kicking myself as to why not because if the other titles follow this sickly sweet formula then you can sign me right up.

Preston and Nathan were so adorable! I loved getting the backstory on their relationship and how that was a foundation through the entire novel. They were constantly supporting each other (even through their fights) and I was definitely rooting for them from the start.

While the plot was predictable, I actually enjoyed that? I haven’t read a book like this since high school (aka, a long time ago) so it was nice to dabble in something short and fluffy. I’ll definitely be checking out the first book in the series, No Love Allowed (and eagerly anticipating the next one, even though this one just came out!).

Are you a fan of Stephenie Perkins? Then check out this one and fall in love along with Nathan and Preston (there’s descriptions of hot swimmer’s bods. You know you need that in your life).

This was such a good MM romance, and Nathan and Preston were just so good together.

I really like Nathan and Preston, even though they both hesitated to become more than friends. It was obvious how much they cared for each other, and how much they each cared for their respective families, and they both just had such big hearts.

The storyline in this was pretty good, even though Preston and Nathan’s relationships had plenty of bumps in the road! I really liked the way these two were when they were together, and I was desperate for them to really make a go of things. I also loved the way we got little snippets about Caleb and Didi (from ‘Warning: You Might Fall In Love With Me’) during the course of the story.
The romance in this was really good, and these two really knew how to make a situation steamy without there being anything graphic. I mean wow these two were hot!

The ending to this was really good, and I was so happy with the way things ended. I really want more of these stories now! Natasha and Jackson next please ;)
Overall; great MM romance,
7.5 out of 10.

Whoops, forgot to note when I read this earlier this year. This book is exactly what I mean when I say not all m/m is actually LGBT - it's nice to think a queer couple of guys would have a charming trip through Europe holding hands whenever they like without ever thinking about their surroundings and where that'd be safe, including in religious countries, but I think that's m/m fantasy, not LGBT reality, and I really struggle to get behind that.

The only words that I could think of to summarize No Holding Back by Kate Evangelista are innocence and tease! I have read No Love Allowed which is the first book and I could confidently say that No Holding Back has a lot of improvement in terms of writing style. I was so immersed in reading No Holding Back that I’m not even aware what time is it when I was closely in the end. And at the end, it looks like I enjoyed it more than I expected.

Let’s talk about Preston and Nathan. Apparently, I am both relatable to the two. One who is so inclined that doesn’t even think about the love aspect of life — is so me. I was so inclined on pursuing my dreams and to be in a relationship with books. On the other hand, the other one is an event planner. I was once in a student council. So, I know how it works to organize a full-scale event. And I tell you, Eleanor is scaaaaaaaaaaary! (That escalated, quickly) Like, she is the oldest hag that you will encounter in real life and she’s like looking at you, intimidating, commanding you with her words. I applaud Ms. Kate here because she nailed back1writing Eleanor’s character!

The thing is I like how Kate Evangelista builds the characters of the Preston and Nate. They both have different personalities and it seems that they balanced each other out. It is kind of unique because when the two of them are in a scene, I couldn’t get it off in my mind that they are perfect being together. It feels like I’m also on a tour with them while they stroll, eat food and had their time while reading. I just wish I could go to Europe. Let’s add this to my bucket list.

No Holding Back feels like an introduction on what we will see on the third book or what will happen to Natasha’s story. I think, I could see a little glimpse of that story but that’s one of the things that I am getting excited for! I’ve been wanting to know what happened back2to her and what kind of story that she has. Caleb and Didi also appeared in this book and they doing great. I kind of wanting more of their story. No, scratch that. I’m going to be selfish here, I kind of wanting more of the everyone’s story. I don’t want their story to end yet.

It feels like I want more of Preston and Nathan because of that ending! Holy Guacamole! That’s what you called a major cliffhanger and a major tease! Anyway, what was I like about this book is that it tackles LGBT or same-sex relationships which are being discriminated or most of the time in our country (Philippines). I commend Ms. Kate for having the courage to write this kind of book. I hope that this kind of story doesn’t have a huge negative impact on the society and I also hope that people have an open mind to read this kind of novel.back3

What I learn from No Holding Back is that love can have a lot of definitions – It could be love why the people you love the most is putting a wall between you two, maybe it is for you to keep on focusing attaining your dreams or just someone who is staying on your side is enough or you don’t even know it but appreciation is the least that she could offer but she loves you. There’s many forms of love and Ms. Kate Evangelista just gave her readers more than just one love. That’s what I like about her. She keeps on loving.

Thank you Kate Evangelista for the opportunity to read your book. This was a great read. The storyline was enjoyable. Also, I really enjoyed see the love between Nathan and Preston. They really are meant to be together. They do not have an easy love, but they have a love that is worth fight for. I think that is what made this book for me. It showed how to people really fight for the love they shared even if it was hard. Also, I loved the bits with Didi and Caleb. The ending of the book made me smile. Also, I loved the Maroon 5 song reference. Overall, a sweet romance.

This was kind of a meh read, I liked the storyline but didn't feel completely connected to it. I love the prose of the author and she is brilliantly descriptive. The relationship between the two MC's is really believable and I liked how slow of a burn the romance was. Nathan is a bit stereotypical, which annoys me.

This book was surprisingly good. As I am not usually a huge fan of the romance genre, I was worried that I would dislike this book, however, I was pleasantly surprised.
Nathan (the main character) was very substantial and wholesome, as was Preston. They both had positive traits and flaws- something which made them feel much more realistic than typical YA characters. They were in no way idealised to make them seem perfect.
Another thing that I enjoyed was how their relationship also had it's flaws. It was never perfect (even their friendship had moments of jeopardy. This also made it easier to relate to in terms of how we as humans interact with each other- I've definitely had arguments with my closest friends before.
I also really enjoyed how both of the characters had aspirations and goals separate to being in a relationship with the other.
The only thing I felt was a bit lacking was the plot, as I found it quite predictable. I do think that this could be partly because my usual genre of choice (being fantasy or mystery) is quite fast-paced, and something exciting is always happening.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book, and would love to read the first book in this series at some point in the future.

First of all, thank you for giving me a chance to review this book, I am glad to be part of this book tour. I've been looking forward for this new book of Kate Evangelista since I heard about this, adding up that this book is an LGBT, it made me curious and excited at the same time.

"Be careful. Love is like acid in the veins. It eats you from the inside out until there is nothing left."

I had a great time reading the book, I felt Nathan's dilemma and endeavor during the Europe trip. Hiding his true feelings is really challenging on his side. Preston on the other hand is the typical guy, my first impression is that he's sort of a heartbreaker. But I guess I'm wrong. Nathan and Preston together is dainty. Their story gives excitement and happiness in my heart and I think this is one of the great books that I've read so far. To be honest I do read this book when I came home from work and it is very relaxing.

"Maybe there are some things people won't understand no matter how much you explain it to them."

I hope this book will have a second book. I'm not ready yet I want more of Nathan and Preston! they are both charming. Their story is impossible to hate.

Full review to come closer to release date! but this one was really cute. Most of my issues with it stem from the writing itself and the little bit of lag in the middle. Definitely recommend checking it out though!

This was another good read, and i'm glad Nathan and Preston's story got told.

I really liked Nathan and Preston together! They didn't have an easy ride, but they always got through it. Their love for one another was really nice to see.
It was good that they mentioned Didi and Caleb, (Even if those snippets weren't anything new) as they were another cute couple!

The ending to this was really good, and i had a smile on my face while reading it. I loved Didi and Caleb together, but i think i loved these together even more.

Overall, Great read.

Kate Evangelista’s No Holding Back improves on No Love Allowed, the first book in the Dodge Cove series, which I immediately loathed last year. I wouldn’t have requested No Holding Back if I’d realized it was a sequel. And, let’s be real, I wouldn’t have missed out on anything if I hadn’t.

No Holding Back didn’t make me mad, and it was a quick, easy read, but that’s about all it has going for it. The romance is fairly cute, too, I guess, but it’s impossible to ship characters strongly when they’re barely developed.

Evangelista skims the surface of everything. Nathan’s passion is party-planning and Preston’s is swimming. Other that I know that they both love their friends and that Nathan’s obsessed with Adam Levine. End characterization.

Though the book centers on a European vacation, it very much doesn’t feel like they went anywhere but a bunch of hotel suites. Literally, they go to Paris and look at one bridge for all I know. They go to Amsterdam solely so that Nathan can eat a pot brownie and finally feel brave enough to confess his feelings, since in this world pot apparently works like a mixture between pot, alcohol, and ecstasy; he totally wakes up with a hangover the next morning.

Mostly, though, it’s the writing that’s the real problem. Evangelista’s writing is very much not good. Here’s a sampling of lines that stood out as especially awful.

“If I didn’t know better, I’d suspect we have gypsy in our blood.”

Never a good idea to put a racial slur in a novel just for lols.

Immediately, the group launched into an explosive rendition of their most popular song—fast and emotional.

This is almost the whole description of the Maroon 5 concert Preston and Nathan go to. It feels like Evangelista couldn’t even bother looking up what their most popular song was. This is a great example of how, even though they go lots of cool places, it never feels like they’re actually there. And look at that telling. Saying “fast and emotional” does not trigger emotion in the reader.

Yet at the back of his mind, he knew the dark kiss of the robust roast wasn’t what he had been craving.

This line made me laugh-groan-snort. My boyfriend can attest to this fact.

It took a moment for Nathan to respond, but when he did, Preston felt it like a wave crashing into the shore: all at once, with arms thrown around his neck.

In no way does that metaphor work. This book tries sometimes to be literary and intense, but it all just comes off silly because there’s so much dramatic emotion there and the characters are far too flat for the emotion to feel authentic.

There are so many better m/m romances out there. Read one of those instead. If you need recs, ask; I will help. I certainly will not be bothering with Evangelista’s books again, since I suspect this is about as good as it’s going to get.

There was only one book I’ve read which is M/M and it was an adult book. I’m kinda wary reading these types of stories, since it’s not just a sensitive topic but few authors can only pull off a rather satisfying story. But yes, Kate being a great storyteller that she is definitely pulled this off and it left me satisfied indeed. Nathan and Preston felt “real” for me and yup I hope there would be a Natasha and Jackson story. =)

So this read is very, short and can be read in a couple of hours if you're a quick reader. Quite simply put, it's cute. It's nothing groundbreaking and the characters aren't fleshed out very well. It's better to see this novel as a snapshot of a short period in their lives. What happened before and what happened after wasn't relevant.

Really this is a read-on-the-beach-summer-romance novel. It's light and cute and I enjoyed it.

(Although the amsterdam trope annoyed me a bit)

Great cast of characters. Sweet endearing friendship. Budding fresh and new romance. All taking place on the plains of the European continent, France, Ireland, Italy. Nathan and Preston live up their friendship and create a more lasting bond.

There were Nathan and Preston and their respective families and additional friends. Their hearts matched their personalities. They were both sweet and caring, dedicated and devoted.

The story flowed and was beautifully written, enjoyable characters, and adventure between friends. It was easily a standalone read. I had not issues with it being a second book in a series.

Take the step and a dive into a swoon worthy young adult romance that will show you a reason to appreciate young love.

It was very cute and good! I liked it. Although I must say Pres is a bit of an airhead lol. I loved that it doesn't have any kind of hate feeling about one's sex. I mean, they are like "so what if they are gay?" Everyone accepts them as is. Even the mothers. Which I would've thought that they'd be kind of devastated. But I am so glad that they support Pres and Nate. It was a really good one. :)

I honestly wasn't sure what to think about his book, I've read the first book and I really liked it. This book is about Nathan and Preston flying to Europe to get Preston's mind off of swimming and for Nathan to get a chance to confess his love for Preston. The writing in this book to me wasn't as strong as in the first one. I wasn't that into the plot and the story was more unrealistic to me. I didn't enjoy how the point of view would just change whenever it liked and didn't have a pattern to it. Don't get me wrong I do love reading in the different point of views, but the way this book was written I didn't enjoy it. I personally enjoyed the first book way more than this one and wasn't able to get into this one. I still love Didi's and Caleb's relationship though when they were mentioned. Preston and Nathan's relationship didn't have the same effect on me, just because Preston was so oblivious to what was going on while Nathan was too scared to do anything until he took the pot brownie. After that, everything changed although I feel the point leading up to the ending wasn't enjoyable and there's was nothing building up towards the ending.

Thoughts: This was such a sweet story! I didn’t’ realize this was part of a series so I haven’t read book one but I don’t feel that I missed anything (and I will read book 1). Nathan and Preston are just too adorable for words. Best friends since they can remember, somewhere along the way it became more. I’m actually kinda bummed it’s over, the characters were so well written that I didn’t want to leave them. It’s like I lost some friends. I will definitely be reading more by this author, it was so good!

This is super adorable xD
I maybe consider this like trashy YA because it's so typical and everything happens so casually, the dudes were on a month long vacation around Europe in the fathers' private jet, I mean, it doesn't get any more fancy than that xD

Nevertheless, the love story was really cute and easy to read, I really liked this one

*I received a digital ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review…and will be buying myself a copy ;) *

From the moment I first learned about this book, I have wanted to read it. It didn’t matter to me that I hadn’t read Kate Evangelista’s first book in which we meet these characters, there was just something about the description of this one that called to me and said, “Read me!” And I am so glad that I got the chance to do just that! I apologize in advance if I get a little sappy.

Friends falling in love are some of my favorite stories…because who knows you better than your best friend? It makes a whole lot more sense than suddenly falling for someone you’ve known all of two minutes. Your best friend knows your past, your quirks, your likes, your dislikes, just about everything. And when you find yourself attracted to them, then it seems like it’s meant to be! And best friends Nathan and Preston won my heart in this wonderful story. It was sweet and emotional and everything I hoped it would be!

Best friends since childhood, Nathan and Preston know everything about each other…except for one little thing. Nathan is in love with Preston and Preston is totally clueless…I mean, everyone knows but Preston. Preston, a competitive swimmer with Olympic goals, is completely focused on making it into a training camp. Swimming is everything to him and he has become a bit obsessed over his acceptance to the program. Meanwhile, Nathan, an up-and-coming party planner, seizes the opportunity to get a job planning Preston’s mom’s upcoming social event by bargaining with her. He’ll take Preston with him on his gap year trip to Europe to take his focus off of swimming if she’ll let Nathan plan her event. Nathan figures the trip will also be the perfect time to finally tell his friend how he feels. Well, as you can guess things don’t go quite as perfect as Nathan had planned, but the trip does offer some entertaining and touching moments.

Nathan and Preston are a fascinating pair with an amazing and supportive friendship. They are alike in many ways, yet there are enough differences that they balance each other out. Preston has a tendency to over think things and Nathan is a calming influence in his life. And when the situation is reversed, there’s Preston taking care of Nathan and calming him. They have an amazing bond and relationship so I can understand why Nathan was hesitant at first to take the chance to tell Preston how he felt…he didn’t want to lose his friend if the feelings weren’t mutual. But as his mother tells him, if that happens, then he wasn’t a real friend anyway.

I love that the author chose to showcase the love between two male teens. Love comes in many different forms and we need more examples of healthy relationships between two males or two females or even a healthy relationship between a male and female out there. I am all for a good romance no matter who is falling in love. And I know that it is not always the case, but Nathan and Preston are lucky to have supportive and loving family and friends. Sometimes they were a little too concerned with their relationship, but in this case that was often a good thing and gave the couple nudges in the right direction.

And I also loved the European Vacation that the author took us on through Nathan and Preston’s adventures. The things that happen to them along the way made me smile, laugh, get mad, and I even shed a tear or two. What I thought would be a light read actually made me emotional, something I definitely wasn’t expecting. Let’s just say that my heart broke for Nathan multiple times and leave it at that…I don’t want to spoil anything. As for the getting mad part, Preston frustrated me at times as well as a secondary character who might have a chance of redeeming himself in a future book (I hope)…I only have bits and pieces of one side of that story.

As I mentioned above, I haven’t read the previous book in the series, No Love Allowed, but characters from that book make an appearance as do characters from what I hope will be a future book in the series (I NEED Tash and Jackson’s story!). However, No Holding Back can easily be read as a standalone. But I now feel the need to read the first book…I loved this one and the characters that the author created so much.

I want to thank the author and Sarah forgiving me a copy of this book.
Even though this is the second book in the series 'Dodge Cove' think this can be read as a stand-alone. I did't read the first book though I want to this story made perfect sense.
The beginning of the book it was all about how Preston was striving to be the best swimmer and how Nathan was always there to help him all the time.At the time Preston was the main attraction for me.But soon as their European Holiday began I loved Nathan more.
Nathan had been in love with Preston for a long time and I am pretty sure Preston felt the same way but didn't realize it.At times I couldn't wait for them to get together. even though there weren't much hot scenes it was sexy.
And Natasha I love love loved her "Love is like acid in the veins. It eats you from the inside out until there is nothing left." if it weren't for her brownies Nathan wouldn't have had the courage to say and do what he did.
this was a fun read and I hope I can read Natasha's story next please.

If I would have to summarize this book in one word it would be "cute".
I thought it started out as a strong 4 stars story, but near the end it got considerably weaker, so it's probably more of a 3.75 rating now (I really need more options for giving those stars).

I read a sample chapter of No Holding Back in my copy of Been Here All Along a few weeks ago and found it so charming (it was sadly the best thing about that book to be honest) that I had to pre-order it right away. I don't regret it. This is a fluffy read for a cold autumn day.
There were the typical romance clichés like travelling through Europe (only the most romantic spots and making it clear those people have serious money), pretending to be in a relationship ("Why did it feel so right?"), one of them getting sick and the other taking care of him, meddling friends and family, a bit of jealousy and some angst about unrequieted love. Nothing we've never read before, just with a gay couple this time. It was nice that there was no gay panic, no bashing or anything else super serious. One can relax reading this one.

I'm aware that this is the second book in a series/trilogy, but I was able to grasp everything just fine without reading the first one. I considered it after finishing No Holding Back, because I thought Preston and Nate were charming and I'd like to get more little snippets of them, but I probably won't because what I saw of the focus ship from the first book in this story didn't make me want to read neither their love story nor the sob story of Nate's sister, who somehow kept popping up being heart broken all over the place (I assume a potential third book would focus on her and the boy she declared to be her one and only).

I did like the hints at a group of friends growing up together and being there for each other. It gives the main characters depth.
I also liked that both main characters worked hard on their careers, even if I found parts of it a bit on the unrealistic side. And the source of some drama for drama's sake.

Did cringe sometimes when the God of Prada/Versace and the like was called upon. That was awkward.

(I'm also not really a fan of the cover, but that's probably cause I don't usually like covers with real people on them anyway.)

So, if you're looking for something cute, fluffy and not too deep you can read in the course of a weekend (or in less than a day, really), this book would probably serve you well.

**I received this as an egalley through Edelweiss in return for an honest review.**

When I first read the summary of this I thought it sounded cute and interesting, but in all honesty, there was nothing really spectacular about this book that stuck out to me. It's the story of two best friends who are conveniently rich enough to go off on an excursion to Europe while also dealing with their feelings for each other. While the characters were fun and the storyline mildly interesting, nothing really stood out for me.

In terms of writing, it read to me like a sub-par fanfic where the characters had stereotypical behaviors and personality flaws. Things were predictable, none of the side characters showed any growth, and the progression of things felt bland. I never once actually got the impression of really seeing the two main characters being in love with each other, other than being told they were and having blatantly obvious reactions to things that "they hadn't noticed or felt before." Not to mention some of the lines were overly cheesy.

While it was fast-paced and quick to read, I honestly don't feel any real connection to the characters or the storyline. I am giving it 3 stars because some people might enjoy it more than me, but personally I did not find the writing style of this story to be all that descriptive. Overall, a quick cute read but not one that I would consider to be an exceptional story. 2.5 stars

Edit: I did not even realize this was part of a series, although that didn't really bother me as the first book seems to be about a different couple briefly mentioned in the story but that didn't make a huge impact on it.

What do you do when you are in love with your best friend and he doesn't realize it? In No Holding Back by Kate Evangelista, Nathan tried to bury his feelings.

Nathan has always been there for his best friend, Preston. He encouraged him and pushed Preston to fulfill his dreams, and he has been there every step of the way. But it isn't quite enough. Everyone knows Nathan is in love with Preston, and Nathan wants to tell him, but he is more afraid of losing his best friend if he confesses. So what does he do? He suggests he and Preston go on a European vacation so that Preston can get his mind off of his tryout.

Preston wants to get into a premier swimming club in Colorado. His tryout went well, but he won't get the decision for about a month. The wait is driving him crazy. He takes Nathan up on his offer of a European vacation, and things start to change. He is starting to notice things about his best friend that he never noticed before.

Will they be able to cross that line? Or will their friendship fall to pieces? You have to read to find out.

This story was sweet, and I love a good friends to lovers book. If you are looking for heat, this book isn't it, but if you want a story that is well written and full of fluff, then this is the story for you. I love the banter between Nathan and Preston, and kept hoping that they would finally stop dancing and just jump. 4 stars.
