As the Guardians prepare to defend the City against a veritable army, a traitor lies in their midst, one who is destined to destroy Summerfeld.
Still reeling from the depth of Drake’s betrayal, Quinn Harden makes a startling discovery that sets her on a new course and threatens everything she has ever believed to be true. As their enemies close in, Quinn must place her faith in the hands of the one man who could save them all.
The Hope of Hawkstone is third book in the highly anticipated Guardians of Summerfeld Series.
Immediately after finishing book two I started this one. Once again I didn't put the book down until I had finished.
This book begins where the last one ended, and continues the story extremely well. Quinn has had to deal with her fair share of shocks, and she finds herself having to cope with even more throughout this book. I was amazed at the lengths some of the characters go to in order to fool everyone.
Betrayal and lies are huge issues throughout the story, but we begin to find out a little more about the past as well. There is a lot of bloodshed, also a lot of characters who really step up to the mark and prove their worth.
I am loving this series and was delighted to find that the next book was waiting to be downloaded as the ending, once again, left me shocked. Straight on to book four.
Amazing! This was the first time I read fantasy that I really enjoyed. It has a little bit of everything! Drama, thriller, secrets, love, loss, family, friends, battles.... I love a strong woman character and Quinn was that person for me. Strength doesn't always mean you always have your sh!t together all the time, and I would find myself nodding as I read, as though Quinn and I were friends. It was like I knew exactly what she was going through. Melissa Delport has a way of bringing fictional characters to life in a very real way. If you're looking for a book that will take you somewhere out of our realm and take you with it for the ride, I would highly recommend this book. Fantastic. Well done!
I am mezmerized by this tale of love and hate, trying to figure out which is going to win. I love all the characters and want to jump in and help them fight the battle to ensure their survival. Very well told.
So far this has been the best written book of the series. It's fast paced and I read it in less than two days (admittedly, I didn't do much more besides read). The saga of Summerfeld continues and the cliffhanger of the previous book ends with a motley crew fleeing to find a new place of sanctuary. I particularly liked how the love triangle between Tristan, Quinn and Drake was finally resolved and found myself not so surprised (in hindsight, it was almost logical) at the appearance of a key character towards the end. This one doesn't end on quite the cliff-hanger that book two did, but it is clear that there is still much drama to come. Looking forward to seeing how it all turns out in the fourth and final installment.

Book 3 out of 4. As the story expands in the books I find each book better than before. The story of Guinn the guardian and her journey continues. There is warm and love and some sexy scenes. Fortunately u have book number 4 to read...
Oh my hat, the hits just keep on coming. Isaiah :( I'm enjoying getting to know the other guardians more. My eternal shipping love though is all Quinn and Drake all the time. The happy moments where just the right touch to save everyone from utter despair. Also dragons ftw!
By now you will be more than familiar with the characters of the guardians, vampires, gypsies and magical beings. A brutal and catastrophic war has come to Summerfelt. Each character reveals their true personalities. Some betray the people they held dear, others pay the ultimate price, and a handful find love. Destiny causes chaos in Quinn’s life. White becomes black and black becomes red. The oldest guardians are the only ones who know the secret prophecy. What is the prophecy and who will fulfil it? Can Summerfelt be saved? Can sacred beliefs and taboos be broken if it means a life will be saved? Read on and find out.
Ending on another cliffhanger!! I'm really enjoying this series. The to-and-fro of the combatants keeps you guessing all the time. Isn't it strange just how love moves? Love, hate, deceit, treachery, friendship, courage and true guardianship.
I love the characters, Quinn - so strong, so proud and so powerful! Drake - so torn, so twisted and yet so loving and helpful.
Who would have thought that Avery was still alive?!?
Thank you Melissa.

Action, drama, suspense and the cliffhanger of an ending. An unputdownable read. Just, yes. For everything.
I have an inkling as to how the story may play out in the next book but Melissa does like to keep her audiences on their toes. I am sure there are going to be a few twists and turns in the finale of the Guardians of Summerfeld series.
Action all the way with twists and surprises that left me reeling! Would've rated this one a 5, but the typos/spelling errors (that wasn't present in the previous 2 books) resulted in the deduction of a star.
This book was so amazing, so many things happened that just made the story, things happened that I definitely didn't see coming, and other things that just went the way I thought they would! But, overall an amazing story, can't wait to dive into the final book of this amazing series!!
