And we're back! Though not as good as the past omnibuses, Karneval still provided a lot of fun and entertainment over these two volumes. We finally got to see a snippet of Karoku's backstory, Nai was able to be strong and protect Karoku when it mattered most, we got back into Kafka's dirty business with a new overseer, and Silver Yogi is back! I've heard next omnibus gets to focus on him quite a bit, so I'm interested to see where that leads.

The only issues I had with this omnibus were the transitions between Chronomé and Circus feeling choppy and sudden. I didn't mind getting to see more of Gareki's classmates again, but it did give me a bit of whiplash to go back and forth this time around. Also, it felt like Mikanagi ran out of ideas to tie two plotlines together, so the Journey to Find Yogi's Missing Nyanperona Underwear felt gross and tacky.

Regardless, this franchise is still very entertaining and I'm still overjoyed that there's more I can enjoy of this manga. Since I also have Omnibus 6 with me currently, ONWARD!

Another fun addition to the series, this one was really light-hearted and silly at parts, which is honestly one of the things I love most about the series. I love how needlessly cute and detailed all of the costumes and world are, I love how adorable the relationships between the characters, and I love that underneath it all there's still plot and that hint of sinister activities. I'm never quite sure exactly what it is, but this whole series is one of my favorite ways to just sit back, relax, and enjoy a cute, fun story.

I don't get what the point of sending Gareki to school was if we're just pulling him back out immediately. Yogi's plot is kinda interesting. But overall it's becoming apparent that there is no greater plan here and we're just vibes based

And the plot thickens. (rotflmao)

But, no, in all seriousness, I like this one a lot. … Well, the later half to two-thirds. The first part deals too much with 'where is Karoku and Nai … and Gareki' and Gareki's school mates for me. But the rest, when they all arrive in Mermerai? Love it!

I like that the band is back together - that's when they are all at their best - and I love seeing the little moments of Gareki's character development. And then the big fight gives so many people time to shine and it is just lovely and I find the 'big bad' of this fight very interesting. (Also, Yogi is my favorite and, while I don't love his silver alter ego, I have so many questions about Silver Yogi.)

That was crazy insane!!!!! I would LOVE LOVE LOVE this to continue as an anime! Between Karoku with his memory issues and Yogi with his "evil twin" (evil isn't a good word, but it's what I have now), this has become just an awesome ride!

We find out where Nai ended up. And we learned a little more of what happens when Yogi takes off his bandage.
