3.0-3.5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Hmm...I'm not really sure what way I'm going to go when rating this series. In one aspect I really enjoyed it, but than in another I'm like ehh... it lost me.
Here are my gripes:
My biggest issue with these books is they're kind of all over the place and not in a good way. I had to go back and reread pages I just read because it jumps around. The books never picked up where they left off. That annoyed me, after reading a crazy cliffhanger and rushing to the next only to find the story has moved on, days or weeks later have passed. Ugh. Annoying.
I also had a hard time wondering if I should be paying close attention to a certain part or was this yet another dream Becky was having. She woke up from a lot of dreams.
Too many characters. I'm all for a variety of people but just adding people into the story is unnecessary and does nothing for the plot. I'm still not sure why we spent so much time and energy on Becky's ex.
My likes: there were some juicy sex scenes.
I liked Knox/Marco. He was hot!
At every cliffhanger I was ready to pee my pants.
The super long epilogue. I'm a total sucker for epilogues
I really like short story novellas. I'm all over the place naturally, so when I know I'll have a short series that will keep my attention span I'm all for them. So, that being said I did enjoy it I just wish it was put together like it was rushed.
I downloaded 'Knox - volume 1' back in May 2014 but after discovering it was only 88 pages long and the first in a series of four books I decided I'd wait until the complete series was released and I'm so glad I did, I don't cope well with either really short books or cliffhangers. This was an ok read I was surprised when the epilogue started at just 75% thinking the book was winding down but it turns out the epilogue was long, 7 chapters long in fact and it was the best part of the book for me I do love a HEA. It's a hot steamy read but I have to admit I wasn't completely sold on either Knox or Rachel for me it just felt like something was missing.
A psuedo-bad guy with a romantic streak is not something you run across everyday but Knox is just that when he sets out to complete the job Rebecca Venetto's father gave him. Knox Savage is not only proving John Venetto innocent of murder but he is also keeping his estranged daughter Rebecca safe.
Rebecca Venetto enjoys her normal boring life working in the evidence locker of the police department in New York. Where Rebecca grew up with mayhem and the mob boss as her father she decided the simple life was the way to go, with no one dictating to her what they wanted from her. That was until today when Mr. Savage showed up and started telling her what to do...
Knox Savage is the owner of Knox Security and while he is a cultured CEO he can be ruthless if he needs to. When he was hired to prove John Venetto's innocence he also gets the added pleasure of making the acquaintance of his daughter Rebecca which is no hardship for him. Now if she would just learn to listen to him things would work out just fine...
Such a good / entertaining book with some of the steamiest sex I have read in a while. Love the mob / mystery / family values of this sexy as sin box set :)
After getting book 1 free on Amazon, it took me a while to convince myself to buy the box set as I don't usually pay for short stories. However, I love this author so I thought Id give it a go.
I definitely wasn't disappointed with what I got and it was almost like reading a full-length novel in this form. You can see my reviews of the books on their individual pages, but this was a great read!
Cassia Leo has just been catapulted toward the top of my favorite author list .. wow .. Knox is the bad guy you can't help but want more of! Great story with steamy sex, what more could you want?!

REVIEW: 3.75 stars--KNOX is the third instalment in Cassia Leo’s contemporary, adult POWER PLAYER erotic, romance series. This is billionaire CEO of Knox Security Knox Savage (aka Marco Leone), and mob princess / police evidence intake officer Rebecca Veneto’s story line. KNOX can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. KNOX was originally released as a four-part serial in 2014.
NOTE: KNOX contains scenes of graphic violence, as well as Domination and submission, punishment and bondage that may not be suitable for all readers.
Told from three first person perspectives (Knox, Rebecca and August) KNOX follows the rekindling relationship between billionaire CEO of Knox Security Knox Savage (aka Marco Leone), and mob princess / police evidence intake officer Rebecca Veneto. As the only daughter and child of John Veneto , the head of the Veneto Crime Family, Rebecca can lay claim to witnessing things that have affected her life, and her less than stellar relationship with her father and mother. A ghost from the past will come back into Rebecca’s life in the hopes of settling a score for sins long ago. Enter billionaire CEO of Knox Security-Knox Savage aka Marco Leone-the man with whom Rebecca will fall in love. What ensues is the rebuilding relationship and romance between Rebecca and Knox, and the potential fall-out as Rebecca is pulled back into the life she left long ago.
Knox has waited ten years for the woman that has called to his heart but ten years in which he has planned for the destruction of the man that destroyed his life. With the upcoming trial of Rebecaa’s father John Venetto, Knox is hoping to secure his release in an effort to find the man responsible for the loss of life that set him on a path towards vengeance and death. Rebecca Veneto just wants to forget about what happened and why but the reappearance of Marco Leone, the man now calling himself Knox Savage, brings with it too many memories of a time long ago.
The relationship between Knox and Rebecca is one of second chances of a sorts: years earlier, a then fifteen year old Rebecca fell in love with Marco Leone but Marco’s path lay before him, a path from which he would lay out the foundations of his future life. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense.
We are introduced to Rebecca’s father, Crime Lord John Veneto; her long suffering mother Marie; co-worker Tracy Warner; bestie Lita, and Rebecca’s ex-boyfriend August Simmons. The requisite evil has many faces.
KNOX is a story of family, vengeance, second chances and love. The fast paced premise is engaging and edgy; the romance is spicy and hot; the characters are sassy, flirty and strong. KNOX is a dramatic and passionate look at mafia-style romance.

Enough of an ok read that I finished the book, but I didn't connect with the characters and there were too many moments of 'would someone REALLY react like that'?
I suppose if you had grown up the daughter of a mobster and, as a teenager, witnessed a murder then perhaps you wouldn't be bothered by innocent people being killed to keep you safe. However this doesn't lead to main characters that you can connect to, respect or really care about - and this is what spoilt the story for me. The dialogue and scenes generally flowed and had some good ideas (although the end felt a little rushed).
For me neither of the two main characters were particularly likeable - and you certainly couldn't think of them as the hero or heroine of the story. At least I purchased this on offer at only paid 99p and not the full price! It won't stay on my kindle either.
I read all four parts at once, so this review applies to all four. This was not my cup of tea.
Major plot points were replaced with sex. The author “yadda yadda yadda-d” the plot to make room for sexy scenes. For example, Volume One ends on a plot twist with Knox interrogating Becky about her boyfriend, and him revealing that he’s been working with Knox. Volume Two begins with a sex scene. What???!!! How did we get from an interrogation in a garage to anal sex?! Here’s another one: Volume Two ends with Becky getting a phone call telling her that her best friend has been abducted. Volume Three, scene one begins with Knox desperate to find Becky, because SHE has been abducted. What?!!!
I never connected with the characters. Becky didn’t make any sense, and Knox was a bit of a psychopath. I just didn’t either character to be relatable or sympathetic.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
This is the second series from this author that I have read where the h is a spineless sex fiend whenever the H comes near her. Murder, betrayal, lies, manipulation, all is forgiven as soon as the H tells her to assume the position. Not my cup of tea at all.
Besides that, the story was a little disjointed and hard to follow. I keep going back to the Shattered Hearts series, which I loved and it's hard to wrap my head around the fact that it's the same author. Knox was probably one of the least likeable H's I've read in a while. He was ruthless in a psycho way and he professed to love Rebecca, but it was more scary possessive stalker than anything else. Again, Rebecca was such a spineless character it was hard to care.
Knox Complete Series By: Cassia Leo Narrated by: Kirsten Leigh, Ryan West Finally Overall 5 out of 5 stars Performance 5 out of 5 stars Story 5 out of 5 stars Reviewed: 02-28-20 After some disappointments, this is a new to me author I enjoyed a lot.
The story is a mix between dark and consensual but I liked it. Fast, sexy and engaging.
And Becky. I was really happy with their chemistry. They both had it bad for each other!! Didn't go into too much job story. I would have liked a little more background on what Knox did for Becky's dad. More into the grit of her father's life and how Knox was a part of it. Their love story was hot and intense. I liked the epilogue. Have a lot of information into their future. I would recommend all of Cassia's books!!
This was a great read I just couldn't put it down she found her love again I only wish she has seen his message to wait for him but other than that I just loved the characters their whole chemistry was just amazing hot read
Wow ten years. And still planned on getting get to be his. So much heartache and heartbreak. Then add betrayal , lies, death. Love. And trust. Yep a good book.
Good thing this was Free, because it is a terrible series. So cheesy and unrealistic. The characters are so tacky, there is no depth to them. Do not waste your time on this.
