"What would it be like if your lover vanished and you had nothing to do with it? How would it feel if everyone blamed you and believed you’d killed her and disposed of her body?"

Griff is the town loner. After being accused of murdering his girlfriend, he lives a lonely life. Never getting close to anyone, not wanting the attention the accusations bring, Griff stays to himself.

After a night out and a confrontation about the haunting rumors, Griff drives off to clear his head. His life is once again about to be turned upside down when Rory storms into his life by way of car jacking.

 photo PicsArt_12-08-05.26.35_zpst4hplqtz.jpg

No weapons involved, she gets Griff to hide her from a bad decision.

Griff has no idea that Rory is about to spin the past he wants to forget into a whirlwind of truths to be exposed.

Rory hacks her way into the hidden truth behind the "murder" of Griff's past. What she unfolds pushes the two into a dark, dangerous world of BDSM and people with a lot of money.

Along the way, their hearts twist together and each of them are flipped upside down with truth and lies.

"She was such a strange being in my world. So brittle, so smart, so funny and so generous. She was like a bright butterfly flitting around my apartment, going in and out of her cocoon at the computer desk. Right from the start I hadn't known how to treat her. I'd never known anyone like her."

Their lives come to a crashing halt when Rory ' s past life steps in front of her current life, leaving the two with doubts.

Letting go is easy...until your heart shatters and you can't put those pieces back without the other.

"I had to find her.
Stop her.
Bring her back.

I wanted Rory.
I fucking needed Rory.
No way was I letting her go."

"I grinned at my waif, my lover, my submissive, my kick-ass brainy hacker, my freaking savior......

Miss Barlow.....WOW...JUST WOW! I did not want this story to end!

I suppose I really should take the blame for not doing my homework better. I thought this book was much much longer, but in fact this had two books. So thinking I was only 50% thru the book....I was in fact at the end. So that's my 4.75 ☆ rating.

This is actually two of Barlow's books together. I only read the first one "Call Me Killer." Interesting premise, with a good twist on a dominant hunk with some legal problems and a geeky girl. These two are far from cookie-cutter characters. Story has a strong suspense element and while the narrative arc for this couple is resolved, there are more components for the overall suspense plot. I can't really call it a cliffhanger, but some elements of the story are left open ended. More books in the future for that that will incorporate other couples. A few notes on the sexy times: .

No. Just no. Please warn readers in blurbs that there will be BDSM as an aspect of a novel. Don't spring it on us in the novel itself, especially when it's handled so abruptly.

Also, is this a debut for this author? The writing seems a bit amateurish and choppy. It lacks good transitions and details to flesh out the characters.

As for the story line, it wasn't terrible. In fact, it would have been a decent novel without all the teenagerish handling of the darker elements.

Although at first, I liked Rory, once she submitted in the bedroom, I was done with her. I admit it, I don't really like BDSM novels unless they are finessed properly and eased into slowly. I also have learned that I hate female leads who are willingly submissive and accept punishments from their doms. Ew.

Griff was just an asshole. He never won my affection, just a grade A jerk hole the whole novel. He wasn't funny or nice ever, just controlling and ass-hatty. Yet his personality changed so much from minute to minute. I can't help but wonder how Rory fell for him.

We need some sort of way to rate these books to tell readers the elements in them so people like me can avoid aspects they don't like. BDSM is a no go for me.

I have to start this book off by saying-HOLY MOLY!! The alpha hero of this book is freaking hot. He is so beaten down by things done to him that he just takes it as his due but one night in question changes his life when he meets “Rory” who is sassy, into his business and doesn’t go away. He saves her from a bad situation and tells her good bye but shes like a bad rash, she doesn’t go away. The town is against Griff but not “Rory” She is a college student who doesn’t want to go home so she is in his town visiting her whore “mom”…don’t ask. In Griff, she sees in him something that calls to her. And he sees in her something- pain calls to pain and like calls to like. The pain in Griff is that the town thinks he murdered his ex girlfriend but haven’t been able to find her body in over a year since it all went down. Rory , who by the way is a really high level “hacker” explains to Griff some things and tells him not every thing he was told was true by the FBI and local police. She smells coverup and offers to help him clear his name. Well, she digs and that is where the HUGE twists and turns come about. Oh we meet the DOM who his ex-girlfriend was sleeping with and he is a real psycho-handsome though he maybe and then there is his security chief who has ties to Griff..and its all a tangled web that comes back to Griff and Rory. On top of that, Rory is hiding some secrets about her past and she is afraid that she will lose Griff once he finds out. The suspense, sexual tension/chemistry and mystery made this an extremely terrific story. I loved the ending though I would have liked to see Rory and Griff’s story a few months to a year down the road to see how they were progressing. The supporting cast of characters gave a wonderful added flavor- I can’t wait to read stories for Connor and Silas—those two , I can tell from this story, have stories to tell. This book I couldn’t put down and even now I have re-read it again because it is so good. Rory and Griff will find a place in your heart.

ARC given in exchange for an honest review

Holy smokes Linda does it again with this book. The writing draws you in from the beginning and keeps you hooked until the very end. I love how you can connect with the characters in the story and feel like you are experiencing everything with them. You'll start reading and won't want to put the book down so you can know how things end.

Rory is trying to get away from her life and keeps her life secret but decides to come up with something else. One night she needed to be rescued and she was. She makes her way into Griff's life and finds out that he is being accused of murdering his girlfriend. She doesn't believe it and she'll prove he is innocent. Rory doesn't expect to fall for Griff.

Griff is tried of everyone accusing him of murder. All the ladies want him just so they can see what it's like to be with someone accused of a crime. He rescues Rory and things start to change for him. She's not his type and when she decides that she will prove he is innocent, he doesn't know what to do. Only he can't take much more of her or so he thinks.

Rory and Griff will take you on one heck of a journey. This journey will be all kinds of things but you won't regret being on the journey with them. The way the characters come together and the connection that they have is just so real. The hot sex scenes with some BDSM leaves you wanting. When things are being reveled it's more of a shock but then you'll also see the love that formed between two people. Overall a book that you will love just as much as I did.

Great job to the author on another amazing read. I highly recommend.

I've just this minute finished "Call Me Killer" by Linda Barlow and it totally blew me away, in the very best way. Linda is a new author to me, but she's definitely not a novice with more than 25 books under her belt! Don't know why I'v never read any of her books before, but there's plenty for me to choose from in future. I received an ARC from her in exchange for an honest review & think she was brave to send it to me, as she had no idea what I'd like or say about this story.

Griff is the prime suspect in the disappearance & presumed murder of a former girlfriend, Hadley. For close to a year he's been a pariah in his small town, except for the odd thrill-seeker who wants to say she's been with a killer! He stops for gas & offers Rory help on a wet, miserable night as she tries to escape another guy who's scaring her. Not knowing what to do, he takes her home to dry off & lets her sleep on his coach. Rory is a mystery, but she's funny, smart, strong & sassy - he gets used to her being around & she's decided to help clear his name...
These two characters are warm, funny and very appealing. The fact that he's into light BDSM intrigues Rory, who hasn't gone down that road, is an added bonus with an interesting couple of scenes in a private club. But there's nothing too objectionable. There are several other characters who make up the back story & who may appear in other novels, but I'd like more of Griff & Rory. This Alpha/Dom & his girl were refreshingly tentative in their attraction & finally in love. A really good read - don't miss out on reading "Call Me A Killer"

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review and I can honestly say that Linda Barlow has written yet another amazing book. Ms. Barlow has written a wonderful story that is well thought out, fast-paced, and easy to read. Call Me Killer is remarkable well-written with intriguing characters that you are inexplicable drawn to. This book has a great mix of mystery, suspense, murder, humor, romance, and oh so hot sex! A very exciting read that once you start reading, you won't want to put it down.

Would have been three (maybe?) stars but it ended too abruptly and was only half the book. The rest was a whole other novel that wasn't really connected with the one I actually bought to read. I thought that at 49% this book was just getting good but...alas, no. It was the END OF THE BOOK.

DNF 30%

I actually really liked the beginning, It was funny and Rory was a cool chick and I liked how they met.

They got together pretty quick 20% in. Then I got bored. No sexual tension at all. Pretty insta on both sides.

I hated how Griff kept comparing her to his ex

I didn't realise BDSM was a big theme in it. I was ok that he was into it but not to that extreme.

I wouldn't mind putting a collar on her, binding her arms behind her back—elbows together to make her tits jut out—and playing with them roughly while I made her suck my dick. Or putting her on her knees doggie style and flogging her for a while before I rammed my cock up her probably-virgin ass

He kept mentioning how his ex got him into all that BDSM shit and learnt to be a Dom from her.

The hole solving what happened to Hadleys disappearance I was interested at first but got boring pretty quick.

I can't be bothered reading the rest.

Unfortunately I do not have anything nice to say about this book.

From the point where the male main character started to fantasize about the female lead, even though he wasn't sure if she was underage to.. no, wait that's actually a really important point. I was uncomfortable as hell even though the book was only a few chapters in and the feeling never really left throughout the story.

Every single male character in this story was unnecessarily aggressive, crude and domineering, apparently to give the impression of a bunch of male alpha types clashing personalities, but no. That's not really what happened here and all I can really recall from reading this is an overwhelming feeling of U N C O M F O R T A B L E N E S S !

Since I don't want to turn this into a rant I'm leaving it at that.

Meet Griff...the boy from the wrong side of the tracks, wrongly accused  (but not convicted) of murdering Hadley, a well known rich girl. Enter Rory, who is running from a drugged up, shovel and shot gun wielding guy, who jumps in Griff's car as he attempts to leave the gas station. Let the adventure begin. Griff wants Rory gone, but Rory has other plans. After hacking into his computer she learns his secrets, but doesn't believe he's guilty, so she keeps digging. Griff has no heart left to give, too much loss for him to even try. Rory has secrets to hide also, which she feels if the truth comes out, Griff will want her gone. Follow these two as they bond while trying to prove his innocence. I truly enjoyed the 2 main characters and their antics and their hot, hot chemistry. Mix in some BDSM...and away we go! Thoroughly enjoyed this book. Hope you do too!

Call Me Killer: A Bad Boy Romance by Linda Barlow (Author)
** I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for my honest review**
Throughly enjoyed this story! Ms. Barlow’s style of writing is so smooth it is easy to find yourself quickly caught up in the story. This was my case, as I could not put my Kindle down and read until the wee hours of the morning to finish. This was not your typical Bad Boy Romance. The characters of Rory and Griff were so well written and extremely likable. I found the story to be full of suspense, intrigue, a bit of kink and an overall feeling of warmth and caring. I look forward to reading future books featuring the secondary characters from this book.

I finished this book tonight & was sorely unimpressed. The plot to this story & the characters were really GREAT. It was some of the romance scenes that were particularly unfulfilling. A lot of the times the scenes would start, get kinda interesting then abruptly cut off. So I guess for this visual reader it didn't work. On top of the fact I personally don't like every aspect of BDSM. But that part of the story wasn't extremely bad, actually more my speed. Just mentioning BDSM & I get nervous. There is one BDSM series out there that literally doesn't scare me, but I think that's because the main suspense of the stories is out of this world! Since this book that I bought also comes with a freebie I'm gonna try & keep my mind open & hope I like it better.

Linda Barlow gives us a good girl/bad boy story. We all seem to eat them up and want for more. Oh but you need to ask yourself is the bad boy really bad? Is the good girl really good?

Intrigue is a thrill and this story fullfills that, enough suspense that you almost want to jump ahead and see what will happen, the sex hot enough to have you twittering oh my.. *winks*

So what do you do when your girl friend comes up missing? All eyes on you. Then the hot sassy comes in your life, the towns people wait to see if another girl friend disappears. The girl isn’t all she seems, on the surface is all good but something is lurking just out of reach.

BDSM fans will love this. This started out with Griff laying low because he was accused of murdering his 'girlfriend', then driving around to get some air and then this girl ambushes him at a gas station now is world is going to change big time and will find out what really happened to his last girlfriend. Rory will be hiding her real life behind a lie throughout most of the book until the last chapter. Rory will make Griff see, feel things he has never felt before. This story is defiantly a great story, just wished it had a bit longer ending then just be cut off but I can see why, to make you crave more.

ARC was given for an honest review...

She needed help quickly and he was there. Griff was having to deal with a situation from a year ago that changed his life for the worse. This is a interesting story about a disappearance that has not been solved. Since he had no choice but to help Rory, he ended up with someone who decided he was innocent of murder and they were going to clear his name. She didn't think he had anything to do with the disappearance.

This is an entertaining story about two people coming together in a dangerous situation and staying together when they figure out who and what is truly important to them. Enjoy I did.

I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I couldn't put this book down! My heart broke for Griff and all he'd lost when a woman he'd been sleeping with went missing. He'd resolved himself to the fact that the town will forever believe he's a murderer, and then Rory unexpectedly drops into his life. She is quirky, funny, sweet and kind and she's not sure she believes he's a murderer. She has secrets of her own.

This book has intrigue, suspense, humor, hot sex and two characters I became totally invested in.

I don't give 5 stars often, but this book is worthy of a 5 star rating!

I received this book as a arc for my honest opinion and holy cow people it was AWESOME. I loved every single page, I couldn't put down. The nerd in me loves Rory. That girl is awesome. She loves with everything she is,and once she decides on something she doesn't quite. Griff in is need of that kind of love, after all what can you do if people think your a killer. Read this action packed book. It has everything you could possibly need love, sex, fun, passion, lies, deceit, bdsm and a totally awesome ending. This book is unlike anything I have read before.
Linda Barlow is an amazing writer and I can't wait to read what she does next.
This is a 2015 must read.

I recieved this book as a gift for an honest review. Griff is crude and rude and hurting. Everyone thinks he killed his girlfriend, Rory is sweet, smart and determined to prove Griff is innocent. There are parts of this story I like. The mystery to be solved and discovering Rory's secret. My problem with this story, was Griff was a little to crude for me. I felt for the first 3rd of the book all he thought about was were he could stick his dick. It just didn't work for me. I know his life is a mess, but It bothered me how he treated Rory. Things got better as the story progressed. I would like read the next book. Some of the characters in this story will be featured.

The BDSM element in this one ruined the story. It was talked about A LOT but not really explored. The couple went to a BDSM club, and the H was way more into it than the h. It almost came off as kinda icky. One instance that caught my attention was when the H was mad, and took a cane to the h. From his perspective all you read is him being angry and wanting to cause her pain. So I was a little Icked out by that scene. Then you read from her perspective and she liked it. However, as a reader I'm not a huge fan of the BDSM, so when I do read about it I like the control and safety to be there. Lashing out and using sex/violence is not okay to me. So that scene ruined it. Meh.

I received an arc of this book for an honest review. I absolutely loved this book. It was a love story between two opposites with an amazing attraction for one another. Griff saved Rory from a crazy acquaintance of someone she knew. He was being accused of a crime he did not commit and Rory wanted to help clear him. I don't want to give any spoilers. This book was wonderful! I can't wait to read more about the secondary characters in the next book in. This series. Thank you Linda Barlow for an amazing read. This book deserves 10

I received this book in an exchange for an honest review. I'll try not to spoil anything. In my honest opinion it really wasn't what I expected. The main characters were Rory and Griff. I had a hard time finishing this book I didn't feel a connection between them. The story wasn't bad I just didn't believe they fell in love. The sex scenes weren't bad either. Plus there was a certain event that happened in the story that wasn't really answered as to why it happened. This just wasn't a favorite of mine but everyone has their own opinions. I will still indeed read more books from this author.

Call Me Killer is as much a mystery as a romance. The mystery extends not only to the murder but to the truth behind the people trying to solve the murder. It seams no one is who or what you think they are. Griff and Rory are thrown together, then find themselves clicking together like a puzzle. But their differences will become evident and may break both of them.

I couldn't put this book down till I finished it! The story just flows and holds you captive in a good way. 5 bright shining stars!

I went into this book thinking it would be an okay time killer when I did get some down time. Boy oh boy was I wrong. I loved Rory and Griff. Most times one stands out above the other for me. Not this time, they were both equally interesting. Don't pass it up. I got it for .99 cents. I was shocked when I found there was another of her books included. This was in a kindle purchase. I don't know if it makes a difference or not. Hurry and catch it before it disappears. I've already started that one and finding it very enjoyable.

Call me killer is an intense and emotional book. You have you liars, bullies and the heartbreak of being branded for all time. At the top of a superficial consuetude investigation cause they know they have their man. Lies are covering up the who's and why's. To many questions and finding real answers can lead to a deadly game.
Loved the read, stayed up to the wee hours to finish it

I got the ARC for which I'd like to thank the author for. Firstly, I liked the main characters, their POVs added to the plot. I liked the mystery even though the author didn't completely reveal everything (which I think will be revealed in the next books). So maybe I'll read the next books to see what actually happened to Hadley. One thing that I really didn't like was the small suspect pool, and the mysterious phantom at the end. Overall, I liked the book.

I received this book as an Advanced Read Copy, this review is purely my own thought * Minor spoiler about ending. I loved the HEA and although I am not usually into books with BDSM, in this book it was worked into an actual plot as well as being quite sexy. I am a sucker for a sassy hacker girl with a secret and a " bad boy" with a tortured soul and a good heart.
