Secret Garden antique shop is Felicity’s dream, her job, and her social life all in one. The antique store, inherited from Fe’s beloved grandfather, has taken up all of her time and energy for the past six years. Dating or no dating, as far as Fe is concerned, life is perfect. Or it would be, if she could make rent every month. Enter Gavin Lachlan, the moody mystery who just might be the answer to Fe's problems. Gavin is a man with more secrets than options. He has a maddening wit and refuses to explain the seemingly constant stream of beautiful women slipping in and out of his rooms—what of it? Why else would he agree to rent out a tiny bedroom above a failing store from a fiery redhead who would sooner slap him than smile at him? But there’s just something about Felicity Moore, an achingly sweet compliance beneath the temper, that Gavin can’t ignore… Except he soon realizes that it’s not just her submission that he wants. Before long, Fe and Gavin are locked in a battle of will and desire, and Fe can’t help but wonder if the only way to win… is to give in.

I am giving this book a 2.75 star rating. Felicity (Fe) Moore is the now owner of Secret Gardens, an antiques store. She hasn't had great luck with relationships, as evident in her relationship with her ex Mason. Fe was a very giving person who is trying to be more outgoing. Mason was just a taker and self-absorbed.
One day Fe was working and comes in Gavin. She was instantly attracted to him. For a while she was not able to pay the bills on the store so she decides to rent the back rooms of the store to get some income. Gavin takes her up on the offer.
During the weeks of living there Fe notices lots of women walk out of Gavin's room. She becomes a little jealous. He is attracted to that part of her. They have an incredible night of sex. They want that to continue, but Fe had reservations since they live in the same place. She thought to herself should I or should I not.
That's basically the story. This one didn't draw me in like other stories by this author. Gavin has a secret but at this point it is not that important for me to find out. Hope the other installments are better.
Gavin and Felicity. She owns a store with an apartment over it. He rents the apartment and nothing happens between them. She sees women coming and going but the green eyed monster makes and appearance and she doesn't know why. It all comes together to make a hot start. Now I have to read the rest of this one. Lucia Jordan, did it again. Oh I have to see what happens in this one.
Very interesting beginning to the story. Fe trying to see if she could settle for an arrogant boyfriend of 3 years or stay broken up seemed to be settled with the first scene. Meeting Gavin and immediately feeling at odds with him leaves her in a state. The final scene alludes to something more to come.
The beginning build of the heroine was slow and empty. It almost made you feel you weren't reading a book by Lucia. However, when Gavin comes on scene the story become more interesting. The love scenes were good. The ending left mystery and questions you would like to be answered. Hopefully, the books will be more alluring.
Excellent book. Highly recommend this book to everyone. Excellent story line kept your interest and attention making it hard to put down. Ready for the next book in the series.
