To a Navy SEAL, the answer is…his buddies, when they play practical jokes.
SEAL Billy Allmon is a veteran of three wars. In them, he formed the deep brotherhood bonds that only sharing harrowing experiences can forge. But more than that, he is the veteran of countless practical jokes, most of which were perpetrated on the very brothers whose lives he had saved, or they his.
If you thought war was hell, wait until you learn what it’s like being the buddy of a Navy SEAL.
If this humor seems sick, you have never lived in the shadow of death..I have so I loved it.
This was an excellent book of the ribald humor men who live with death indulge in. I get it because I have nursed these men and I understand their humor. If you are easily triggered do us all a favor and do NOT read it. If not, enjoy. You may turn red the next time you see a man with a SEAL trident, but I think you will appreciate them more knowing what they are really like. To the author and his friends, I salute you and I enjoyed your humor and your brotherhood. Hooyah!
I really enjoyed Allmon's sense of humor and reading his stories. My husband picked up book before I had a chance to read it and couldn't help but share stories as he was laughing through them. Easy and fun read. Laugh out loud funny. Great gift. I'm buying his earlier book next.
