Private Discipline That Brings Public Reward The Son of God fasted because He knew there were supernatural things that could not be released any other way. How much more should fasting be common practice in our lives? Tremendous rewards await those who seek God through the discipline of fasting, both corporately and individually. It's time to look into this vital part of the threefold cord of Christian life, to see breakthroughs of healing, finances, our children set free, bondages broken, and so much more. If you're ready to bring supernatural blessings into your life, and release the power of God to overcome any situation, this book is for you.

I knew next to nothing about fasting when I started this book. Now I know a little more. I don't think this book will make anyone an expert on fasting. I will look for another book to fill in the gaps to the questions that still linger. I really hope Jentezen isn't leading people to believe that when you fast all of your problems will be taken care of-you will be healed, do better financially, have a prayer answered. It could happen, but God isn't going to give you whatever you want just because you skip a few meals.
Good and informative book on giving, praying and fasting. I never realized how important fasting is considered to be in the Bible and in the walk of Christian lives. So I'm happy this made me see that. I've had a feeling that I should start fasting but I didn't know exactly why. I just figured I thought so because of my physical appearance but I guess I should be doing it for my spiritual self also.
Having not read very much or been taught very much, I was anxious to read this book that was recommended by a friend who does a 30 day fast every January. I am encouraged and anticipate that I will make fasting more of a regular practice in my spiritual disciplines. (The previous sentence reads as quite an understatement of my actual feelings about it.)
