Melissa Mayhue lives in Colorado, in the shadow of the beautiful Rocky Mountains, with her family, two insanely spoiled dogs, one domineering cat, a turtle with an attitude, and way too many fish in their aquarium. If any one thing is obvious about the books I like best, it's that I love my Happy Ever After endings!!
I so enjoyed the first book in this series that I was worried that this one wouldn't live up to the first one. But I'm very pleased to say that it lived up to it and more! It was just as good, if not slightly better than All the Time You Need.
I think what made me enjoy this one a bit more is that there was a lot more of the magical aspect involved. We got to see a lot more of the faeries and I'm most definitely a sucker for faeries! I liked that it didn't feel forced though, the magic was subtly woven in and worked perfectly with the story.
There was a bit more action in this one as well, it felt like every couple of pages something new and exciting was happening. And before I knew it, I had reached the end of the story because I couldn't stop turning the pages once I had started!
There were some minor details that seemed a bit off and that kind of left me scratching my head and that's pretty much the only complaint I have about this book. Other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed it!
I'm so glad to say I loved this book of Ms. Mayhue's also! I'm always hesitant when I open a new book by one of my favorite authors, as to whether it's going to be as good as the others are. It is! I was so glad Syrie and Patrick got their own story.
What I love so much about her books are all the romance, time travel and Fae rolled into one. I really enjoy the books where the characters spend a great deal of time in both worlds and different time periods. This story had much more time in Wyddecol, the famed Fae world than the others, but also in the 1200's and the 1900's.
Syrie and Patrick are just perfect for each other, and there are none of those repetitive misunderstandings that can drive you mad, like in other romance books. I only wish in this story that Patrick and Syrie got more alone time to, um...well, Marvin Gaye said it best.
I have thoroughly enjoyed the one into and I am looking for book 3 , when will it be out ? To think that we could go back and make sure our destinies were correct and that happily ever after they like a fantasy. I would love yeah we'll continue this time travel and maybe some of the horrible things from my childhood would have been better ! Thank you so much , Barbara more
I love book series with questions and answers revealed in each story. This one did that for sure. Looking forward to unlocking more secrets in the next story.
