This curriculum was developed to be used as a curriculum for homeschool enrichment classes for teenagers, although there is no reason it couldn’t be used in other group settings. It was field tested in October and November of 2012 in Lansing, MI and was wildly popular among the students that took it and many requested more, similar classes because they had such fun with it.
The venue this curriculum was taught at met once weekly for 55 minutes a class, over a period of eight weeks. Each student had a three ring binder and all handouts were hole-punched, so as the course continued, each student was creating a survival handbook that they could keep and refer to in an actual emergency.
This is not meant to be a super comprehensive curriculum, but rather supplies basic information that anyone can use to prepare for and survive an emergency situation. When it was field tested, anytime a less popular activity was introduced, mentioning zombies increased the students’ interest level in the content.
And if you can survive the zombie apocalypse, you can survive ANYTHING!
Have fun!
