The book is 12 chapters. The first half lays a strong foundation of finding out ones true identity and really challenges the reader to do the hard work of looking at where our identity truly lies, and then changing our thinking in order to have a real picture of who we are. The second half of the book deals with biblical marriage, building on the foundation of the first half. It was a challenging and helpful book. I didn't agree with everything the author believes, but I learned a lot and would recommend the book to any woman.

The author has written about various practical ways to reprogram the way our minds to have the self-image God intended us to have. She has also brought out the biblical and practical view on the role of Wives in a marriage. I would highly recommend this.

Terrible, horrible. This woman thinks depression is boredom and suicide happens because Satan snaps his fingers. I wish I could give this book less than one star. If you are troubled, if you lack confidence, help is available. This book will not help.

Very dated, but the message is still relevant. Sometimes old advice is the best advice.

Not at all what I was expecting. It is primarily about marriage. After the reference to Gothard, I didn’t bother finishing the book.

My mentor suggested I read this, and it has greatly helped me understand what I believe about my identity, my justification and validation, and the reasons I tend to feel satisfied or dissatisfied by relationships. I sometimes hesitate towards "self-help" books for fear of cheesiness, but this one was conversational and had a study guide with comprehension questions, prompts to articulate what I think and what is actually present, and then scriptural promises to read until they soak in and spread.

This book taught me a lot about myself. Made it OK to be where I was, OK to have feelings, OK to have needs and OK to be frustrated. And I end up pulling things I've learned in conversations with the young women I mentor.

I'm done with the book and it was amazing! It really helped me with what I was going through with my break up at the time. It showed me the different ways that God loves me and fulfills all my needs regardless of whether or not I am in a relationship. I would recommend this book to any of my female friends!

This is a great book. After reading I have learned I am Confident Woman. LOL. Even though the title appeals to women, anyone can really read this book to identify who we are in Christ!

This was a great book with many powerful bible verses about who you are in Christ. The later chapters focused mainly on marriage relations though it does mention singles as well. A great read!

Very good book. This helped me look at some things from a different perspective. I didn't agree with everything in the book. But I still got a lot out of it and I'm very glad I read it.

great book although there were a few things I don't agree with but that's just showing my individuality. I would recommend it to others though.

This has some truth but it's terribly dated for the modern woman. Read this if you want to know what 90s Christian women were reading for devotions.
