I’ve always loved to read, and some of my earliest childhood memories are me, tucked away in my room, lost in a good book. I received a five dollar allowance each week, and I always — always — spent it on books. My love affair with writing started early, but it mostly involved journaling and writing silly poems. Several years ago, I didn’t have a book to read so I decided on a whim to write my own story, something I’d like to read. It turned out to be harder than I thought, but from that point on I was hooked. My first and second books were released by Sarah Book Publishing: This Is Not About Love and Grayson’s Ridge. I’m a total genre-hopper. Basically, I like to write what I like to read: a little bit of everything! I reside in Floyds Knobs, Indiana with my husband, three children, and massive collection of books. I have a degree in psychology and worked as a counselor.

This was a quick read. I’d had the book sitting on my kindle for ages. It sounded very young. Given it was written from the POV of a 14 or 15 year old girl, not surprising, but still.... As far as “voices” go, I think the author did a good job writing in the voice of a young girl, but still.
The plot was highly implausible - a whole town? None of the characters were very well fleshed out. The ending came on very quickly after a whole bunch of very convenient, I guess you might call them - deux a machina plot devices. In fact, and I don’t often say this, the book have done with being longer. Things, especially in the latter part of the book, were not fleshed out enough. It just ended so abruptly. I enjoyed the first book more. Not sure if I’ll read book 3.

The town of Flocksdale had a history. A nasty, evil sort of history.
Marianna is a teenage girl forced to move Flocksdale. She doesn't want to be here. She knows the history of this evil town. To make matters worse, she learns that they are moving in THE House of Horrors. This house from the outside as an eerie feeling that Marianna just can't shake. The history of this house has her freaked out about living here, but what choice does she have. Marianna sticks to her sick feeling and things start to not add up around Flocksdale.
When a new friend of her's goes missing, the town is shaken. It looks as thought the past is fighting its way to the present. A town with a past filled with horror and evilness and Marianna does not like the feeling she has pushed down to be right.
After doing some investigating, she learns that her new step father has ties to the evil family that once ruled the horrors that occurred. Everything she thought she knew is NOT what it really is.
As things start spiraling into darkness for Flocksdale again, Marianna is faced with evil coming at her from every direction. Everyone Marianna is close to and loves starts turning on her.
Help comes to Marianna from the one person that survived the Flocksdale Horror 20 years ago....Wendi Wise (from book 1). Wendi must help Marianna overcome the horrors that want to regain power and to convince Marianna of this turns the tables on her life. Surviving this town will mean people must die, people Marianna thought she knew.
LOVED LOVE LOVED THIS BOOK!! This series is addicting and dark and everything I love!!

This is book two in the series. Although they could be read as standalones I do suggest you read these in order to read the story of the strange and dangerous people living in Flocksdale.
After reading book one I really didn't know how the author could move forward with the story. Let's face it we've heard Wendi's story so I thought that's it. However I didn't take into consideration anyone moving into that dreadful House of Horror.
This book was full of surprises. My jaw dropped on a few occasions when the truth was revealed.
This book certainly kept me gripped. I sat and couldn't resist reading it in one sitting. I'm super excited to see there will be a book three. Hope we don't have to wait too long for it.

Oh. My. God!!! I am completely blown away by this one, so excuse me while I’m trying to find the right words to express my emotions. Carissa Ann Lynch did it again, made me spend all night up on the edge of my seat, completely engrossed in the dark world of a small city of Flocksdale, and this time she outdid even her best-selling novel “Have You Seen This Girl”!
First of all, the setting is fantastically written. I could feel the gloomy, creepy atmosphere of the small town, see the black river, the nuclear plant on the other side of it (which turned out to be a mental institution), and of course the skating rink, where the abduction of Wendy Wise in book one happened. However, the evil is not going to give up its positions in their favorite corrupt little town.
The main character Marianna is new to Flocksdale, where she was forced to move after her father left several years ago and her mother re-married George, who inherited a family house from his aunt. Imagine the horror of the girl when after suspecting that something was creepy about her new house and after doing some research, she reveals the terrifying truth. Her stepfather George is a relative of the family who used to run a girls-trafficking business, and she lives in the so-called House of Horrors where all those girls had been held captive and murdered.
I can go on and on about this absolutely outstanding thriller, but I will save you the pleasure to discover for yourselves which other horrifying secrets Flocksdale keeps, starting with creepy clowns, suspicious new friends and finishing with demented relatives who aren’t who you think they are. Let me just say that this one definitely made my Halloween special and I can’t thank the author enough for a job greatly done!

Marianne’s mother and step-father married a year ago, and he has been wrecking her life ever since. They pack up and move to the town of Flocksdale, into a giant Victorian on Clemmons St. Also known as the ‘House of Horrors’, a home where countless girls were kidnapped, held against their will, and murdered.

Despite the house being rebuilt from the ground up, Marianne cannot get comfortable in her new environment. Nothing about the house on Clemmons St. feels like home.

My Thoughts
The Flocksdale Files is a series that I hold near and dear to my heart. Both feature a strong female lead who you route for throughout. I enjoyed Marianne’s character as much as Wendi’s from book 1.
Before reading, I wondered how Author Carissa Ann Lynch would continue this series. I loved the direction she went with in this installment of the Flocksdale Files. Like the first book, it was a steady, action-packed read that had me sitting at the edge of my seat in suspense!
Deception surrounded Marianne, and the author kept me guessing: Who can Marianne trust? I loved that Wendi from book 1 played such a big role in this book also. I loved her character and reintroducing her into the story was like reuniting with an old friend.
I loved the first person perspective. It connected me with Marianne. I could see the world through her eyes, and I had access to her inner thoughts. I’ve always preferred first person POV because it feels like the character herself is telling me her story, versus me watching from the sidelines with a third person perspective. I feel that the author made a wise choice in choosing first person POV.
Author Carissa Ann Lynch creates well-rounded characters that I genuinely care about and think about long after I have closed the book. She also has a talent for creating a compelling plot, that keeps me turning the pages. I highly recommend this series to readers who enjoy gritty, edgy crime thrillers with kick-butt female protagonists!

Holy addictive book, Batman!! Carissa Ann Lynch managed once again to FULLY CAPTIVATE me from page one to the very last one. I had started reading my paperback copy of this book a few months back, but never got the chance to finish it (shame on me!). So, once again, I decided to take a Carissa Ann Lynch novel with me to one our camping trips, and I FINALLY got the chance to read it (that's exactly how I read book one in this series—while camping).
I re-started it one morning, while alone at our campsite (husband and kids were gone for the day), and a couple of hours later I was done. Now, let me just say that reading this book while ALONE up in the mountains was not my brightest moment. I found myself feeling paranoid with every, single noise I heard. It did not really matter that I had five dogs with me. Nope. I found myself highly anticipating my husband's return to camp! Ha. Ms. Lynch is just that good with her thrillers!
Now, a bit about this MUST-READ novel...
While this is technically a standalone book, I would still very much HIGHLY recommend that you read book one, Have You Seen This Girl?, first which is Wendi's kick-ass story. Wendi has an important role role in this second installment and her book provides a lot of background information that will allow you, in my opinion, to understand House of the Lost Girls even better.
Marianna had a life that was NOT was she thought it was...at all. Plot twist after jaw-dropping plot twist proved that everything she thought she knew was wrong. Deadly wrong.
This book gave me the creeps!!
I'm not quite sure what I would have done in Marianna's situation. I mean, the things she discovered! Holy chalupas, I'd be devastated! With no one to trust, no one to believe in... What was left?
You guys, if you read ONE book this Halloween season, let it be this one (heck, this entire series, really!). I promise it's creepy, enthralling, and truly addicting!! I can't wait to start Carnival of Dead Girls!! FIVE STARS!

Amazing
Author Carissa, has out done herself yet again, with another pulse-pounding, edge of your seat, can't get enough of this ride. She brings us back to that Godawful town: Flocksdale! Author lynch completely out did her first novel in the series,
“Have You Seen This Girl!"
She weaves together horror, with her brilliant mind and fantastically beautiful writing. Her imagination puts you right in the midst of that creepy small town. Get ready for your dose of insanity, as you're now in a mental institution, that's how crazy Flocksdale is. So, Marianna is new to Flocksdale, and to the readers. Unfortunately for her, she ends up living literally in the House of Horrors, where poor Wendy and the other innocent girls have been held captive there and murdered. What will happen to Marianna?
Ha! I'll never tell!! I am a big fan of Carissa, she is an
outstandingly wonderful writer. If you like horror, If you like mystery and an amazing imagination... author Carissa's Flocksdale series is the books for you. I highly recommend it. 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Marianna's life is an unhappy one. At almost eighteen years old, she has experienced her parents divorce, her father's abandonment, and now she is forced to move to Flocksdale. Dark, cursed Flocksdale. Marianna does what she can and begins to try to find peace in her new home, but as we all know Flocksdale is not a peaceful place, in fact, it is a place where girls disappear and don't return.
I read the first in this series and was blown away and didn't think the author was capable of writing another, but she did and she did it well.

I had no idea how Lynch would make a series out of “Have You Seen This Girl?” but she’s done it, and she’s done it well in book two of the Flocksdale Files series! Here, we meet Marianna, who is moving to Flocksdale into the creepy old (rebuilt) house from Wendi’s kidnapping. Annoyed to be moving to a new town, she’s instantly suspicious of the town’s grimy history of murder and girls gone missing – and for good reason. Neither readers nor Marianna could ever predict just how messed up Flocksdale is, until reading “House of the Lost Girls.”
Lynch takes us right back into the “house of horrors” and brings the story back to life a generation later. Not unlike the first book, “House of the Lost Girls” is a roller coaster ride of twists, turns, and even creepy clowns. Just when I thought I had things figured out, Lynch managed—once again—to spin my head, leaving me looking for holes in the story. There were none. Unlike her protagonist, who claims she isn’t good with solving puzzles, Lynch is a mastermind in weaving a puzzling tale of suspense. In the end, the pieces fit together perfectly and leave readers wanting more.
I highly recommend “House of the Lost Girls” and can’t wait to get my hands on the final book in the series!

A Wild Rush of a Great Story!!!
Marianna Bertagnoli is so not thrilled at her mom and stepdad for moving to Flocksdale—and she’s even less so when she arrives. The expletive painted on the welcoming sign tells her all she needs to know, but her parents don’t seem to get the not so subtle hint. The town sucks and even the uber cute guy at the bookstore can’t make the bad go away. Especially when one of the books she purchases in that store chronicles the history of the town where young girls died in all sorts of horrible ways. It isn’t long before history repeats itself, only this time Marianna finds herself at the center of the madness.
Wham! Bang! Whoosh!!! If you like your books fast and suspenseful , you’ll go bonkers for HOUSE OF THE LOST GIRLS by Carissa Ann Lynch. The creepy vibe is established immediately … and the tension? It only gets worse! I was a nervous wreck reading this and found myself screaming at Marianna to get out of the house and Flocksdale so many times, but did she listen? Ha! Characters in books are about as bad at taking advice as those in movies!!!
In case it isn’t apparent from the enthusiasm, I LOVED this story so much!!! Carissa Ann Lynch’s writing is stupendous and doesn’t let up … I mean, never ever! Ms. Lynch is what so many other authors aspire to be! She gets that proper grammar is important, but that storytelling supersedes everything, and that’s what she is, a brilliant storyteller! She does a masterful job of pulling us in and keeping us hanging on her every word. Her writing is positively ADDICTIVE and I kept turning pages and reading, and reading and whimpering, and reading and screaming!!! It was all so darn enjoyable and I had to get to the end to see how this all finished.
The FLOCKSDALE FILES series is amazing—and it keeps getting better. That’s saying something because the first book was good—very good. Carissa Ann Lynch really has a winner here. The heart of the story is something that we want to read about, and the characters she comes up with are downright fascinating—enough to become obsessed with … like Marianna. Marianna is so likable and so over her head in danger that it’s ridiculous, but she persists, getting herself in deeper and deeper … and we go along with her … carrying her baggage for her … and trying to tell her who to trust, but guess what? We don’t know either!!!
This is the ultimate fun, creepy, scary book! There are so many surprises that I guarantee you won’t figure this one out. You know FOX’s SCREAM QUEENS? You know THE HILLS HAVE EYES? Well, combine those two, put the result on steroids inject it with some amphetamines and you’ve got HOUSE OF LOST GIRLS.

Wham! Bang! Whoosh!!! If you like your books fast and suspenseful , you’ll go bonkers for HOUSE OF THE LOST GIRLS by Carissa Ann Lynch. The creepy vibe is established immediately … and the tension? It only gets worse! I was a nervous wreck reading this and found myself screaming at Marianna to get out of the house and Flocksdale so many times, but did she listen? Ha! Characters in books are about as bad at taking advice as those in movies!!!
In case it isn’t apparent from the enthusiasm, I LOVED this story so much!!! Carissa Ann Lynch’s writing is stupendous and doesn’t let up … I mean, never ever! Ms. Lynch is what so many other authors aspire to be! She gets that proper grammar is important, but that storytelling supersedes everything, and that’s what she is, a brilliant storyteller! She does a masterful job of pulling us in and keeping us hanging on her every word. Her writing is positively ADDICTIVE and I kept turning pages and reading, and reading and whimpering, and reading and screaming!!! It was all so darn enjoyable and I had to get to the end to see how this all finished.
The FLOCKSDALE FILES series is amazing—and it keeps getting better. That’s saying something because the first book was good—very good. Carissa Ann Lynch really has a winner here. The heart of the story is something that we want to read about, and the characters she comes up with are downright fascinating—enough to become obsessed with … like Marianna. Marianna is so likable and so over her head in danger that it’s ridiculous, but she persists, getting herself in deeper and deeper … and we go along with her … carrying her baggage for her … and trying to tell her who to trust, but guess what? We don’t know either!!!
This is the ultimate fun, creepy, scary book! There are so many surprises that I guarantee you won’t figure this one out. You know FOX’s SCREAM QUEENS? You know THE HILLS HAVE EYES? Well, combine those two, put the result on steroids inject it with some amphetamines and you’ve got HOUSE OF LOST GIRLS.
Yeah, baby! I’m giving this one some serious stars!!!

This is a new adult suspense. This is the second book in the Flocksdale Files. The book could be read as a stand alone, but reading the first book "Have you seen this girl?" fills in a lot of the details that would be missing otherwise. This is a enthralling read, I was captured by the first page. Marianna is such a strong character, I honestly wanted her gut feelings to be wrong. No such luck. Can this girl catch a break? And her parents, what the heck is wrong with them? WOW! Another story that Carissa Lynch left me speechless, with the unexpected, shocking, I can't believe it ending! I felt so badly for Marianna but by the end of the book, my sadness had turned to anger, in Marianna's words.... F*** Flocksdale.

For those who read the first book in this series "Have you seen this Girl ?" will know that the first book contained a family who were killing and trafficking girls , each member of the family were involved -right down to the children. One of the captured survived and escaped and got revenge on those who hurt her - Wendi Wise. Years later Wendi went on to marry Jonathan Milby - the cop who saved her. Now almost twenty years later , seventeen year old Marianna is moving to Flocksdale with her mum and her new boyfriend Garrett. While out touring the town of Flocksdale Marianna, comes across a bookstore with a book called "The House of the Lost Girls' which details all the horrors of the murders and stories that went on. Turns out that the house she is moving into , was that very same house and this gets Marianna thinking her new dad to be is involved. Recommend to fans of thrillers/suspense.
Having enjoyed Have You Seen This Girl?by this author I was looking forward to this sequel. Full credit to the author as she took the story in a direction I wasn't expecting at all. It can be read as a stand alone but my enjoyment was enhanced by reading the first book in the series.
The central character Marianna is a likeable, typical seventeen year old who has led a pretty "normal" life until she arrives with her parents in Flocksdale. And what a truly horrific town it is! Although not particularly street-wise Marianna is a bright and intelligent girl who has to keep her wits about her to survive the new House of Horrors.
Lynch's writing style is smooth and fast paced. The writing has a lovely natural flow and I find this author's books a pleasure to read. The book is full of twists, some I got others came as a surprise.
There was one minor plot twist I thought pushed the boundaries of credibility but for overall enjoyment a definite 5 stars.

I loved the first book Have you see This Girl? This was just as great a book and just as thrilling. The story revolves around a young girl named Marianne. Marianne’s life is turned upside down when her mom marries her step dad George, and they have to move for his job in Flocksdale. They move into this huge Victorian house known as The House of Horrors, 20 years earlier this house was used for a trafficking/drug ring. There were lots of young girls buried in the basement and backyard of the house, and this was the house Marianne was moving into.

After reading the first novel in this thrilling series, I was very excited to continue the series. I started merely seconds after I finished the first book. I was curious to see how Lynch was going to continue the series, especially after we already knew Wendi's story. Boy was this a great way to continue the series.
Marianna Bertagnoli was a bad ass in my opinion. Even more so than Wendi maybe. Marianna's character had her moments where she was a bit naive, but she was perfect in my eyes. Lynch did a great job with her character, and Marianna was the picture of teenage angst. She didn't know what she wanted when it came to the guys of Flocksdale, but she sure was a loyal daughter. Spending a chunk of her savings to fly to New Orleans in search of her mother was just one of the ways how. Also refusing to believe Wendi whenever she speaks ill of her mother.
This novel was very thrilling, just like the first in this series, and I really enjoyed it. The editing was fabulous, the characterization stunningly on point, and I even fell a little in love with Sam. I also enjoyed how Wendi was tied into the novel. House of the Lost Girls was far more fast paced than the first novel, but still had a lot of plot twists that I once again wasn't expecting. Unlike the first novel, I was able to anticipate some of the twists that were to come much faster than Marianna did, which made me clutch my kindle in frustration. I even tried shaking it to shake some sense into her at the end!
I gave this novel 4 stars rather than 5 for the unrealistic aspect of two high schoolers heading out to New Orleans for a weekend unexpectedly, and for the ending that left me with a lmild case of whip lash. The ending happened so quickly that I felt like I was left with a lot of unanswered questions.Hopefully they will all be answered in the final installment of the Flocksdale Files series, Carnival of Dead Girls. I know that Wendi will be making an appearance, but I'm also hoping that Marianna will be too. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed reading this novel and would love to read more from this author in the future.

House of the Lost Girls, book 2 in the Flocksdale Files by Carissa Ann Lynch was a fast paced 4-star action packed read. The prefect follow-up after book one that shows how evil can easily be passed down in families, but can be a standalone. To really get that creepy feel Have You Seen This Girl? book one, really gets you set up and your heart pumping. Both quick, but powerful reads that take you into the world of human trafficking and drugs.
This story takes place years after book one ended and seventeen-year-old Marianna Bertagnoli is being forced to move to another town with her mother and her stepfather from Ohio. They are leaving everything and everyone she knows behind to move to Flocksdale into a family home of her stepfather's. The house itself is creepy and after some digging she finds that it is known as the House of Horrors and has a hideous history to go with the bad vibes.
Years ago the Garrett family and many people in Flocksdale worked together with drug deals, selling girls, and murdering them. The House of Horrors was one of the homes used and this pushes deep fears into Marianna as her stepfather George has always given her issues. When her mom disappears as well as some of the local girls, she puts her trust into her new friends from the town. The friendships formed look like they will make the move easier as well as turn into something so much for her love life.
To add to the adventure a grown Wendi how fought the evils before is still living in town and doing her own search into the girls’ disappearances. the teamwork between the two of them is unforgettable. The journey that Marianna must take to find the answers, her mom, and who to trust is unbelievable. You will be shocked as everyone's true colors come to light, and how evil one town is capable of. The world can be a scary place and for Marianna when everyone is a stranger, you don't know who to trust with your safety.

To be honest about this book, it has left my mind blown. I truly am speechless right now on how to write this review. I thought the first book Have You Seen This Girl got me, but I was wrong. But Carissa Lynch has done it again with House of the Lost Girls. I didn’t know if she could top the first book, it was a dark and suspenseful, but with this book she took everything to a whole new level.
Carissa Lynch takes us right back to the House of Horrors, where we meet Marianne. She is leaving her home and her friends to move to the town of Flocksdale with her mother and new stepfather. But not knowing all of the history of the town she sets out to meet new people and discover what this town has to offer. She finds the bookstore and since she has a love of reading, she finds town native Wendi Wise Wilby’s book. When she begins reading this book, she understands why she has the unsettling feeling with her new home. Considering that she is living in the rebuilt version of the House of Horrors.

I was lucky to read this book as a arc as this book is just as good as the first book.
We meet 17 year old Marianna Bertagnoli who isn't a happy girl to say the least. Her dad abandoned her 5 years ago and now she is moving with her mum and stepdad into a house that her step dad inherited. But this isn't any house this is a creepy house in the creepy Flocksdale.
It's not long before Marianna realises she is living in the infamous house of horrors. This is the very house that the Garrett family ran a drug ring,kidnappings and the murders of 40 young girls. Marianna cannot settle in the house despite the house being rebuilt. Then evil starts happening again.
First her mum vanishes without a trace and then one of her friends is found murdered.She is then attacked by someone wearing a clown mask.
Marianna doesn't know who she can trust but turns to Wendi Wise who was a survivor of the Garrett family. Will Wendi and Marianna be able to unravel what is happening.
This book will have you glued and keep you glued and keep you in suspense.

Having read the first of the Flocksdale Files books, my expectations were incredibly high, and I wasn't disappointed in the slightest. Author Lynch has a talent for drawing the reader in, and in this book does it in a superlative fashion. She begins by taking us into the mind of a moody teenage girl who isn't happy to be moving to a new town - and what a town it is.
From the outset the reader is hooked, and is not let go of until the end, which I didn't want to come. It is the kind of book that you want to go on forever.
The parallels with the first book are a masterstroke, and if the reader hasn't read the first one, they will certainly want to. Cleverly, it isn't necessary to read the books in order.
Throughout, the reader's mind is full of suspicion, and the tale could go in any direction. When there's a twist of fate, the reality of the situation is frighteningly good, and from that point on, it's a rollercoaster ride until the end, when the macabre truth is revealed.
This is a book of the highest quality, and a joy to read. Totally outstanding and strongly recommended.

Carissa Ann Lynch has done it again. Ripped me apart and put me back together again.
This book is just as amazing, if not more so, than the first, "Have You Seen This Girl?" Once again set in the evil town of Flocksdale, our protagonist moves with her family to the House of Horrors which served as the setting for the first book. Girls are going missing and some are showing up dead. I spent the entire book trying to figure out who I...I mean Marianna...could trust. Once I thought I figured it out- BAM!- another twist, another turn, another clue, another doubt.
The author is a master builder of the intricate storyline. Once again, as in the first book, I never saw the surprise at the end coming. I was shocked and appalled. I had my suspects plotted out neatly in my head and.....I was so wrong, on so many levels.
There is a reason these books receive so many positive reviews. They are amazingly well-written, intense, and gut-wrenching. Five Stars+++

Wow--what an amazing story! I literally read this book in one sitting. I'm a fan of Carissa Ann Lynch's writing already, having read two of her previous books, but this one just blew me away. It is the continuation of the sordid story of the town of Flocksdale, featuring a 17 year old heroine who grudgingly moves there with her mother and new step-father. As Marianna uncovers the dark history of Flocksdale, she is befriended by several of the teen residents, one of whom is later found murdered. Marianna is lead to Wendi, the main character of the first book in the series. It is up to the two women to solve the mystery in a town where no one can be trusted. This book ricochets the reader through the pages from the beginning to the very satisfying conclusion. If you enjoy a suspenseful, nail-biting read, you can't go wrong with this book!

In House of Lost Girls we've moved forward in time from Have You Seen This girl? Carissa has done this flawlessly and it feels like years have passed without trying too hard with the 'fads' and time line.
This book centres around Marianna and her moving into the House of Horrors. I liked that we had a 'fresh pair of eyes' on the town with this book, Marianna didn't just listen to the gossip/history etc but also saw things herself.
The story moves fast on this one, it has some really good twists in there that you may not see coming. I especially loved that Wendi was part of this book and how she gets involved in the story. I will say House of the Lost Girls isn't as dark as Have you seen this girl? In honesty I'm glad it wasn't, however it is still just as riveting. I read this in one sitting and will happily say its a 4 star read. I did enjoy this series and recommend it.

Having read book one of the series, I did wonder how the author could move the story forward, but as book 2 is set 20 years later that wasn't a problem. The book was full of suspense, action, and surprises, which kept me turning the pages.
I could easily visualise the streets and buildings of Flocksdale, the same gloomy town that featured in book one.

I liked that Wendi, (the missing girl in book one) was reintroduced in this one and was there to help, when everyone Marianne thought she knew turned against her.
I could easily visualise the streets and buildings of Flocksdale, the same gloomy town that featured in book one.

I loved the first book in this series so had high expectations for this one and I'm pleased to say it didn't disappoint. House of the Lost Girls is an amazing thriller with some fantastic twists- each time I thought I knew what was going to happen, something else come out of left field and completely floored me.
I love Carissa Ann Lynch's writing style and the complex, realistic (if sometimes twisted!) characters she creates. I really enjoyed the way this book tied into the first. While I suppose it could be read as a standalone novel, having read the first one really enriched the experience and I would definitely recommend reading both.

Wow, House of the Lost Girls is definitely one not to be missed. The second book in the Flocsdale Files really packs a punch as twenty years have passed since Have you seen this Girl? and a new girl is thrown into the horrors of the town of Flocksdale. Marianna thought that she was the daughter of a loving mother but in reality she is the daughter of a murder who is living with her cousin and continuing the kidnapping and murder spree that began in the first book. Author Carissa Lynch packs a punch with this book as she did with the first and she gives hints to the third book in the trilogy which I'm looking forward to reading. I highly recommend this series to everyone.

As I did with the first one, I enjoyed this story. It was a fast read, I didn't want to put it down. I thought I had a few parts figured out, but it was nothing compared to the overall story. Twists and turns were unexpected, and I know a few will point out that there are unrealistic aspects (like a high schooler packing up and going to New Orleans to find her mom) but it doesn't matter. It didn't interrupt the flow of the story for me, so you shouldn't have a problem. This story is worth a read and I think you'll enjoy it :)

Absolutely fantastic follow on from book one. Lynch didn't disappoint in Have you seen This Girl and certainly doesn't in this one. The author has upped her game, the plot, characterisation and splendid narrative has made this series one of my top reads of 2015. In this second book Carissa Lynch has added more depth and complexity to her characters and the plot and twists weren't expected. The Flockdale series will not disappoint f you are looking for a novel full of thrills, twists and suspense.

I read and loved the first book so grabbed this one and was not disappointed. Although it is a second book in the series it could stand alone with ease. Flockville is a very nasty town and when Marianne moves there with her mother and stepfather she hates it, especially their house. Later, when she finds out it was built on the site of a house of horrors she hates it even more. Evil seeped into the bricks and bad things start to happen.
I loved the teenage voice in this story, which sounded very true to life. This was a thrilling and entertaining read that I loved. The end blew me away.
