I was disappointed in this story of how Mia was treated by Jared. I couldn't understand how he didn't know it was her first time unless he was so focus on his pleasure only. Another thing I didn't like was how she forgave him and went back to him but she couldn't forgive Amber who got the two together in the first place. Third thing was her horrible mother who used her as a servant. Why did Mia put up with a mother like that when she could have called Jessica for help. The way Jared treated her when they had sex after getting back together while she was pregnant was a horrible but part of that was her fault for lying. I sorry but what he said to her was so disrespectful. Mia lack of self confidence maybe why she allowed him to treat her disrespectful. Did not enjoy this story and was hoping it would get better at the end but it didn't.
I think I read too many of these stories, as the storylines seem to follow the same formula. This was a good story. Not great, but good. I liked Mia. I found myself rooting for her. She to me epitomized a true heroine. Her two BFFs were a riot, especially Amber, who started the mess in first place. But then if it weren't for her Interference there wouldn't have been a story. Jared. I wanted to swoon and drool, but he just left me feeling empty. I thought he was a brute in some of those sex scenes. His constant back and forth got on my nerves. Frankly he was an ass. He did redeem himself, thanks to Amber. I'm glad they managed to work through their issues.
This story was difficult for me to finish due to multiple elements that I disliked. The plot was very jumpy and didn’t flow well, some things were left unexplained until much later. The H Jared was not a good man he continually lets the heroine down and she still chooses him in the end when he never proves he’s a changed man. The heroine was very confused throughout the whole book I didn’t like her either.
I forced myself to read much as I could of this book. I agree with the other person who gave this book at three. As a person who works in the healthcare profession anal sex is not a way to go and it can cause a lot of problems along the way. Sorry for the spoilers about the anal sex.
Also for clarification was Miya black a biracial shred here. Then it went to the call of the eyes blah blah blah blah . Glad that she was a full for the woman who spoke her mind and became comfortable with herself later on
This is my second book by this author and I read this book on Kindle Unlimited.
This story was a bit of an emotional roller-coaster. Both Mia and Jared had their issues involving abandonment by their parents as well as commitment and weight issues. Mia was very forgiving toward Jared and gave him more than one opportunity to step up and do the right thing in their relationship. It took him a while to get his act together but he got there in the end.
I did enjoy this story and its definitely worth a read.
