3.5 rating At first I did not like the style of writing but it soon grew on me. The storyline is romance all through with little life variations. An entertaining read
Solid 4 stars. Liked this a lot despite the many editing issues with the book, such as no clear point of view changes, incorrectly titled chapters that don't match the character we're following, etc. But despite all that, there's a lot to like in this book - the romance is top-notch, the story is unique and both leading ladies are well developed.
The story has a bit of a soapy aftertaste, but it's not to the point it's off-putting. All the sugar and feels and the tragedies of life were worth the journey. I simply couldn't put down the book until it was done, and I really loved how it ended.
This book was originally published back in 2011, I believe, and it's an incredibly refreshing read. I assume because it's not tailored to the algorithm driven formulaic writing that platforms like Amazon push today.
