Caroline Fontenot Beauregard’s blissful life as a newlywed and soon-to-be mother is shattered. A traumatic delivery sends her into a coma, stranding her in a realm between the living and the dead. The sinister spirit of George Callahan is waiting for her there, prepared to capture her soul and use it to finally fulfill his revenge in the generations-long feud between the Fontenots and Callahans.
Cade Beauregard is heartbroken, but determined to save his wife from eternal enslavement, even if he must confront his own horrors and employ the despised dark arts of voodoo to set her free.
Trevor Callahan knows his father is up to no good, and he’s certain it involves the woman he still loves. He resolves to do whatever it takes to protect Caroline from Kenneth Callahan’s schemes against her family.
While New Orleans celebrates Mardi Gras, Caroline, Cade, and Trevor work together to stop the threats once and for all. But with George attacking from the spiritual realm, and vengeful kin with ties to the mafia plotting deadly retaliation in the physical, will rescuing Caroline’s soul be enough? Can they ever break free of the demons in their families’ pasts and find happiness together?

I stumbled upon this series by accident and I'm so glad I did! I loved the story from beginning to end! The characters, the plot twists and the setting! I felt like I was right in the bayou with them. So descriptive and well written. I was sad to see it end. Wish the author had more because I'm definitely a fan! Just the right balance I'd paranormal without getting cheesy and the suspense and mystery kept you on the edge of your seat up until the last line. ❤️
This book was the 3rd in a series! And it was captivating! The ending was so unexpected ;it leaves the reader wanting more! I really hope it will continue... It was skillfully crafted to make you need to keep reading! Definitely recommend it.
I received this book as part of a Goodreads giveaway.
I really enjoyed this book, which frankly surprised me! The author strongly suggested reading the first 2 books to get the background on the characters, but she did a nice job of weaving their histories throughout book 3, so I never felt lost. Judy's style of writing is a nice blend of detail and mystery, told in an easy conversational tone that never feels stilted or choppy. She also does a good job of keeping the book believable, even with the premise of voodoo and menacing ghosts.
I am saddened to see this book over, because unlike the second one it kept me on the edge of my seat. The crop of new characters; or actually characters mentioned before, but who grew to have a bigger part was nice. The sexy scenes didn't overpower the story, but they were indeed intense in a good sultry steamy kind of way. Oh and loved the cliffhanger, but kinda knew that it was going to happen. So I await #4
Flatline grabbed my attention in the first few pages and didn't let go! It was great from beginning to end!!! I loved the way it wrapped up the saga. I highly recommend these books for anyone looking for a great read!!!
Oh my gosh!! Great book! If you like a story that turns this way and that, has action, intrigue all wrapped up in a sweet little romance then you'll like this story. I enjoyed this book and the entire trilogy. I know you will happy reading
This is the 3rd book in this series and I was hoping it would be the last. Unfortunately it is another cliffhanger. These books are far between and I am not sure I want to wait for the next one. It is a good series but I am not happy about the cliffhanger part.
Good book All three novels held my attention. There was so much action and suspense. People were involved that I would have never guessed!!! Definitely kept my interest.
