Behind the brightest smile, can lay the darkest truth . . .

KEETS:

I watched in horror the day the World Trade Centre collapsed, taking with it my fiancee and unborn child. As a firefighter on the scene, I blame myself for not rescuing them. Enlisting in the United States Army did nothing to dissuade my guilt, it only proved to me what I knew all along: The world is too cruel, too dark and twisted to live in any longer.
So I'm taking the easy way out. On the 14th anniversary of 9/11, on my 40th birthday, I will return to Ground Zero, where I will finally be reunited with my loved ones. Forever.
I have just three weeks left to live.

NATALIE:

It would destroy my sister if she ever found out why I really came back home. She thinks I'm just here to help out with Saddles, but the truth is I have a secret, one that tears me apart and threatens to consume me. It was just one night. One stupid, messed-up, drunken night.
The consequences will live with me forever.

When these flawed hearts collide, will they heal one another . . . or burn together in a blaze of glory?

WHY Cherry... WHY?? OMG how could you end it like that?? This book holy hell... It had me all over the place with emotions. I was sad, happy, pissed, turned on, shocked and I could not get enough!!

The Prologue freaking gutted me and i was a crying mess for what Keets was going through then i wanted to punch a guy... 50% in i was literally freaking out saying OMG.. Holy $h*!, no, no, no... I never saw that coming... and of course my heart broke again for Keets... and that ending... holy freaking mother of all things holy!! CHERRY I NEED MORE!! Great ending well somewhat ending i should say but it was freaking phenomenal to say the least.

Outside of that I cannot and will not say much more about this book because it will give it all away.. There is an undeniable attraction between Keets and Natalie from the first time they meet and holy crap does it get rowdy in the bedroom!! Can I have me some Keets?? That man phew..

They are both battling their own demons and pasts.. The only thing I wanted more of was a little bit more of Natalie's past and why she is & does some of the things she does (again I cannot say without giving things away) But who knows maybe that will come since their story is not 100% finished... And I cannot wait to see where things go from here.

I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, secrets, pain, depression, and heartbreak.

If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first
Imperfect (Blaze of Glory #1)

This is Natalie and Keets’s story. Keets lost his pregnant fiancé in the attacks of 9/11. He was on the scene that day as a fire-fighter but was unable to save them. The guilt is eating him alive and had been ever since it happened 14 years ago. You get to know his inner turmoil. He is ready for the end to come to him and he has a plan. Natalie and Keets meet and have hot chemistry. With them both holding back secrets are they going to help heal each other or just be a stopping point until the end? The both have secrets that could destroy everything. Can they figure out those secrets before they destroy everything? Or is the end the only way out? This book ends on a cliffy. Be prepared to have a wait until the next part of the story……I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I recommend this book.

~~~~~~~~~~Tracy's ★★★★★ Review~~~~~~~~~~
This book is book two in the Blaze of Glory Series. I really love this series so far. This book starts off with Damien "Keets" and his pregnant fiancee loving each other. Then she goes to work in the World Trade Center on 9/11. He is a trained firefighter and he rushes to try and save them but he is unable and has to watch the building holding his everything collapse before him. Years later as he is eaten up with guilt in walks Natalie, Shannon's little sister. Keets knows he should resist the strong attraction they have but she is the first woman since Liz that he has had a reaction like this. Natalie has a secret and she knows once Shannon and Keets find out it will destroy all their lives.
I freaking love this series and I read it so fast. I wanted more but I got to that dreaded last page with my mouth hanging open. Wow!!! Amazing story and I loved how Cherry showed me how the life of someone who watched their love ones perish on 9/11 deal with the guilt and remorse so strongly. This book touched me emotionally and I found myself crying ugly tears. It made me laugh out loud as well too. The characters are ones you fall in love with and root for. Two very damaged people for different reasons try to find a way, not only with each other but with themselves. Amazing Read and I highly recommend this book. But I do suggest you read Imperfect first otherwise you will miss some of the main points of this story.
Where do I even start with this beautiful, heartbreaking story about having everything you ever wanted and losing it all in a split second?
Keets was ready for the next step in his life, though he didn't expect the unexpected to rob him of his happiness. From that moment on, he became just a shell of his old self. Reading how devastated Keets was had me in tears, maybe because, in a sense, I could feel his pain at only being able to do so much to save his loved ones, no matter how hard he tried. As I read the opening chapter, it sucked me in completely, and I felt like I was right there with Keets.
Natalie has always been the black sheep in her family due to her "personal problems", but never in her wildest dreams did she think it would bring about a division with the ones she loves. As Natalie and Keets work together, their chemistry is scorching HOT. To me they were oil and water, yet no matter how hard they tried to stay away from each other, they weren't able to.
Be prepared and have your box of Kleenex ready, because you will shed tears reading this heartbreaking story of two people with pasts that seem unrepairable. This was such a realistic story, which had me thinking of the day that changed all of our lives, and how still, to this day, we are being affected. Thank you for such a beautiful story, Ms. Shephard. ~ Kara, 5 stars
Wow! This story had passion and excitement and the main characters both had major problems. This was a quick read, because I stayed interested and wanted to know what would happen next. I can't wait for Broken Blaze of Glory #3.
Unfortunately this book is entirely flawed, as well as the characters. As for all these court documents the author wrote it, that would NEVER happen. No ones baby is taken away by a court without proof of neglect or proof of paternity. This book turned me off of the series completely.
I remember exactly where I was on September 11, 2001. Flawed begins that very morning and it really set the tone for the pain, anguish, and heartache that was felt by many on that day. The shock of such a startling attack and the reality of so many lost loved ones gave this book a powerful and emotional beginning. I didn't lose anyone close to me on that day, but after reading the beginning of Flawed, I gained a glimpse into the life of someone who did.
Keets and Natalie were both battling their inner demons and I was eager to see if they could come together to conquer them. I absolutely loved (and loathed) the point where Flawed collided with Imperfect. I hadn't seen that coming at all and it definitely made my jaw drop in more than one instance. I was beside myself wondering what Natalie was going to do next. I did not envy being in her position at all. I hoped that Keets would be able to help and that it would finally help him to change his plans for himself. I was glad when everything finally came out into the open and everyone was able to get through to Keets.
This was a beautiful story about pain and redemption. The ending was a killer and I am going to need the next installment ASAP!
Review:
This is the second book of the Blaze of Glory Series. Unlike the first book, this is not a standalone. You should read book one Imperfect before reading Flawed. Also unlike book one this book ends with a cliffhanger. Flawed is the story of Keets, Stone’s and Shannon’s friend from Imperfect, and Natalie who is Shannon’s younger sister. They share a very physical relationship from the time that they met. Both of these characters are Flawed. Natalie who has never felt that she was good enough, always in her sister’s shadow, always messing things up. She is at her lowest after her longtime boyfriend breaks up with her on their third anniversary being together. Her friend takes her out to get over her broken heart and Natalie has a drunken one night stand with a good looking stranger.
Keets has been broken since 9/11 when as a first responder, he had to watch the Twin Towers crash to a pile of rubble with his fiancee and unborn child. Nothing has appeased his guilt of not dying in the collapse with his family. Now as September 11 is approaching he has decided to join his family on the anniversary of their death. Especially now after having feelings for Natalie.
As I mentioned this book ends with a cliffhanger, and what a cliffhanger it is.
The plot of this story is very dark, and like the first book it is full of raw emotion. The chemistry between Natalie and Keets is conflicted, hot, and very intense. The pacing of this book was much better than the first book in my opinion. It had an easier flow. The ending is a cliffhanger and leaves us as frustrated as these two flawed individuals. We get to see these characters grow and make self discoveries that will leave you as emotionally drained as the characters. Can’t wait for the next book to come out.
Ladies, Cherry Shephard has opened the floodgates, get the tissues ready and settle in, this is one you will need time to recover from!!!
I read the first book in this series and was blown away, and when this one arrived on my kindle I just knew my reaction to it was going to be huge.
I read a bit about the author after the first book and I think that has helped me to appreciate the direction that she takes her characters. I gave my perceptions of the relationship between the author and the character’s clarity.
So onto the book, to these characters, to my reaction and my decimation!
Cherry brought me a story that gave me characters with a plight that had meaning and she gave them a voice that they so desperately deserved.
History dictates that as a race, as a species we should never be allowed to forget the horror that man has the capacity to inflict on his fellow man and in our lifetime there have been many such occasions, none more devastating that the events of 9/11.
But while the impact of the events of that day will never completely be laid to rest for the majority of us, we were merely touched by the scenes that unfolded, horrified by the pictures but detached from the events in as much as they were happening to someone else, somewhere else…but what is that wasn’t the case, what if fate had written you and yours into the annuls of history, what if you survived that tragedy but the one you loved, your reason for breathing didn’t, could you go one, would you even try?
I couldn’t even to fathom how the author even began to get her head around this whole scenario when she set down to write this story but I am glad she did because I will always be thankful that I had the opportunity to read something that was so moving, so touching and so committed.
Keets is someone that that leapt off the page, his story was so deep, so intense and just so raw that it had me begging for an opportunity to just set his mind at rest, to give him a sense of peace that he so richly deserved but continually denied himself.
If I had one wish it would be that I could have had the opportunity to bring him to life, to have five minutes with him and the chance to tell him that he is a hero amongst men, but his survivors guilt was strangling him and it was a painful read, watching this strong character allow his soul to sink.
When he met Natalie, I was desperately hanging on to the hope that he would allow himself to be happy, but they were both damaged, both missing so much from their lives that they were struggling on a daily basis, and as much as they worked together, it was a work in progress for them to be together, my only question was, Did they have the heart for the fight it would take for that forever to last a lifetime?
This is a story that is completely rounded, it is a tale of what it takes to love, to live and to forgive.
A story that will have you reaching for the tissues on more than one occasion, in fact just keep them by your side and make sure you have plenty!
But it isn’t all doom and gloom, sadness and situations, it is funny, I mean proper funny, laugh out loud belly rumble. It has more than one occasion when you will be left shaking your head in complete disbelief.
But I have one problem…that ending!!! Really, gutted…I hate cliff hangers at the best of times, where this series is concerned, I hold my hands up and say really woman....you are cruel!!!!!!
September 11th, a day that's forever marked in history as one we will never forget and always remember where we were at that time.
Writing about that day, is hard but Cherry Shepard did it with honor and showed us the feelings, guilt of being a survivor.
Keets is one of the book boyfriends that I just wish was real so I could find and heal him through survivor's guilt.
Natalie was the outcast, never living up to her older sister, being a disappointment.
She went off to college, find a man who taught the wrong way to deal with life. A bad one night stand, brings a bunch of trouble that she isn't prepared for or wanting to deal.
Natalie and Keets are two souls who need each other.
Finding their way to each other was easy but staying together, is harder.
Forgiveness, love, family and understanding are what this book is about especially healing.
Cherry is a talented author but also cruel with that ending.
She will have you ugly crying, laughing, WTF moments, and leaving your panties wet from the hot sex with Keets.
I recommend this book to everyone but read the first one so you have an idea of some characters and storyline.
I received this book from the author for an honest review.
Flawed, just let me take a moment to just say WOW. Cherry out did herself again. she has this raw passion in her writing that you can't help but want to get to know her as a person. You just know she would be the one person who just might understand.
Now about Flawed, Keets this beast who is so broken that you can't help but want to hug him and take on the world for him. you want to protect him from everything that can hurt him. For Keets 9/11 started out as one of the greatest days only to end up in this heat stopping tragedy. He joined the army to try and get over the demons but they followed him. Now years Later his brave face is slowly crumbling and he isn't sure what to do about it. On the day he finally came to a decision on his life in walks Natalie, the sister of one of his closets friends Shannon.
Natalie is just as broken as Keets. She just has a crazy week only to uproot herself to help her sister run there father's bar. this came at a perfect time but Keets came at the wrong time. She now has to face the consequences of her actions. She must come clean about everything and hope that everyone can forgive her.
Keets and Nat are just two Flawed people not sure what to make of each other or how to get past their demons to move forward. When a semblance of happiness comes their way, life throws them another curve ball. Will they come out on top or does old habits die hard?
Your emotions will be so raw after you read this that you need to decompress. It's an emotional Rollercoaster that just doesn't stop.
Be careful Cherry does leave you in a cliffhanger. A frustrating cliffhanger that makes you want to yell and scream.
Let's start out by saying 9/11 was a rough time. It's still hard to read about and hear about. All those people not making out is rough. My 7th grade english teacher was beside herself that day because her son worked in the towers and she couldn't get ahold of him. It still took her almost a week to hear from him.
Next writing about cutting. Just wow, being a recovering cutter myself, it's a life long battle not to go down that deep hole and just start over. It's rough when people see the scars or not wanting to explain anything, because you know some people won't understand. Even after you try and get help it still takes eveything
Where do I even begin with Flawed? From the very first chapter, Cherry Shephard crushed my heart and soul. I’m not one for tears, but I bawled my flipping eyes out the entire book. Keets pain and inner turmoil shredded me so deeply that I haven’t been able to read a single book since finishing Flawed. He’s damaged beyond repair and those who have faced the turmoil of his horror filled memories of a lifelong gone will relate to his inner monologue and thoughts. He’s twisted and yet so passionate in his pursuit of Natalie that he warmed my broken heart before breaking it down even more.
Keets broke me, but Natalie stuck the knife into my heart. From the very first moment we meet her, I had a feeling that something was going to be the game changer with her. She’s far to used to being a wallflower in the background of her sister Shannon that I knew she would shine in one form or another. I’ll admit that I did not see the twist of fate for her coming and that in itself, shows how much of a brilliant writer that Cherry Shephard is.
Flawed and its prequel book in this series, Imperfect, gives an honest look at the tormented minds of our soldiers and those that are left behind. These brave men laid their lives on the line for our country, but once they come home, they are only brought out of the darkness for holiday and remembrance celebrations. Keets and Stone’s stories could be ripped from the headlines of any veteran publication. Shephard has made me feel far more than I ever thought I was capable of in a fictitious story. Her level of detail to understand a military system that is not native to her shows just how much she respects her craft. The Blaze of Glory series has easily blazed into my top ten best series of all time and with each book only moves closer and closer to the top.
The only thing left for Shephard to do now is write the next book because I am an impatient girl and I need Bullet now. Or Keets. Or more Stone. I just need something! I would also like to stake claim on Bullet now before Mischelly gets her greedy hands on him. You cannot have them all Mischelly!
Well it's not often I really have to think hard about a review before I write it. Usually I just write whatever comes to my head about the book. This one completely and utterly floored me and I needed to ensure that my review would be able to do this book justice.
This book has so many sensitive issues in it -
Suicidal tendencies
Unwanted pregnancy
9/11 terrorist attack
Loss and grief
Self Harming
I have to say each and every one of these was written with compassion and carefully so as to do them all justice. I can imagine that the author is absolutely terrified about how people will recieve this book because of these issues.
9/11, I can remember what I was doing that day. I was watching on the television as the second plane hit. I'm british and it still affected me. I think Cherry was very brave to take something that was so real and incorporate it into her story.
I fell in love with Keets, the sensitive geek who is struggling with the loss of his Fiance and unborn child. He was unable to get to them to save them and he will never forgive himself for that. So much that he plans on ending his life on the same day in the same place where Liz lost hers.
So many of the scenes with Keets in reduced me to tears. Two specfically the one where Liz dies and the one where he goes to commit suicide. One of these I read at work on my break and was bawling like a baby in the staff room!! It's a good job noone else saw me!
Natalie has been dumped by her boyfriend and her call from her sister Shannon could not havecome at a better time. She even ended up having a stupid one night stand with a stranger. A reguar self harmer she needs something to keep her grounded. She meets Keets and her life changes for the better. Eventually......
Can two flawed people save eachother from destroying themselves?
A perfectly Flawed love story that has more twists and turns in it than a rollercoaster. And OMG the ending!!! I badly need book 3 like now!!! I need to know what happens!
When I read that the storyline would included 9/11 I felt a little unease. Having sat in history class and watched the events take place, crying with the rest of the nation, is something I will never forget. So I was a little put off HOWEVER Cherry wrote about it with feelings and compassion.
After reading Imperfect, I wanted to know more about Keets. Obviously, he is broken from his past and can't seem to move forward. Natalie is the perfect other half for him. I love that they are both flawed and just want the other to be happy. Both are strong in their own ways. The story moves pretty quickly and covers a lot of time in what seems like a short amount of pages. I also was devouring this book which could be why it seemed to go by so fast. I know this is a series BUT I did not like the ending and I need to know what happens! Is book 3 ready yet?!?
HEART POUNDING AND ACHING. TEARS IN MY EYES. DEVOURED EACH WORD.
This is what Flawed made and gave me.
This book is consuming. From the start to finish I couldn't put it down.
Writing this story around 9/11 allowed me to have some form of experience and feelings about the subject before I started the book. This was perfectly scripted. Every reader will be able to relate to the scenes in this book.
KEETS: This man is amazing. Loving. Sexy as sin. Possessive. Alpha. Tormented. All of these things wrap up the man Keets.
NATALIE: Is a beautiful person. She too suffers severe Mental Anguish and low self-confidence. Feelings worthless.
These two characters have you tap into such deep feelings. Also have your panties changed a few times. ;)
It draws you in till the end and leaves you craving more.
Cherry you did it again! I loved Imperfect but Flawed holy cow you will fall in love with this series. I highly recommend that you read this series in order in order to get the complete story with everyone. Cherry has done a wonderful job writing about a character that has dealt with a loss during 9/11. I felt like I was experiencing everything right along with Keets. My heart absolutely shattered along with him.
Keets will make your heart break from the pain that feels from the loss and guilt he is still feeling as a result of 9/11. When Natalie comes to Saddles as a favor to her sister he is hit hard. There is an instant attraction but after some time they grow to closer. He wants so much more from her but he plans on leaving so he doesn't want to cause her anymore heartache so he fights it.
Natalie is dealing with a lot and isn't sure where to turn. She knows that she is and has always been a constant disappointment in her family and knows that her recent development may cause her to lose the only family she has left. She never expected to meet and fall for someone, especially someone so much older than her when she goes to help her sister but these things will take you by surprise. She is hiding more than one secret and events occur that will leave you freaking the heck out.
Cherry you are killing me with that ending!!! I NEED more NOW. I seriously can't wait to read more in this series. This is one that you definitely don't want to miss out on. Cherry does an amazing job and will have your heart clenching in your chest.
Flawed is the second book in the Blaze of Glory series. Even though, Imperfect is a standalone book I would suggest reading it first before reading Flawed. It will make it easier to understand the relationship and friendship that Stone, Shannon and Keets have.
Natalie Harper is twenty-three with shoulder- length blonde hair, large baby-blue eyes and fresh out of college. She has just had her heart broken by her boyfriend of three years. When he wants to break up. She makes matters worse when she has a one night stand with a stranger. So when her sister, Shannon calls Natalie to help Keets, a friend, work at their Daddy's bar while Shannon goes out of town. She packs up her stuff too stay for two weeks.
Damion Keets is almost forty with blue eyes, framed by dark-rimmed glasses. He relives the day on 9-11 that he lost his fiance and unborn child. He has come up with a plan to take his life on 9-11 but he meets Natalie first. What he doesn't understand is why a beautiful girl, like Natalie cuts on herself? How can he be so attracted to her?
Can two Flawed hearts help heal each other or will they go down in glory?
Read Flawed to get these answers but be forewarned there is a big conclusion. Then pray we don't have to wait long for the next book in this series.
This book is book two in the Blaze of Glory Series. I really love this series so far. This book starts off with Damien "Keets" and his pregnant fiancee loving each other. Then she goes to work in the World Trade Center on 9/11. He is a trained firefighter and he rushes to try and save them but he is unable and has to watch the building holding his everything collapse before him. Years later as he is eaten up with guilt in walks Natalie, Shannon's little sister. Keets knows he should resist the strong attraction they have but she is the first woman since Liz that he has had a reaction like this. Natalie has a secret and she knows once Shannon and Keets find out it will destroy all their lives.
I freaking love this series and I read it so fast. I wanted more but I got to that dreaded last page with my mouth hanging open. Wow!!! Amazing story and I loved how Cherry showed me how the life of someone who watched their love ones perish on 9/11 deal with the guilt and remorse so strongly. This book touched me emotionally and I found myself crying ugly tears. It made me laugh out loud as well too. The characters are ones you fall in love with and root for. Two very damaged people for different reasons try to find a way, not only with each other but with themselves. Amazing Read and I highly recommend this book. But I do suggest you read Imperfect first otherwise you will miss some of the main points of this story.
Cherry Shephard has done it again with the second book in her Blaze of Glory series. Flawed gripped me from the start and did not let go. It was an emotionally charged book which pulled at my heartstrings and instantly I felt connected with each of the characters. I could not put this book down. I had to find out what would happen next.
Though this book can be read by itself, to fully understand the impact and implications each character faces in the story, I would highly recommend starting with book one in this series. In this particular story you learn more about Keets and Natalie.
Keets watched his entire life crumble with the crash of the World Trade Center on 9/11. Since then he has been surviving, but only by a thread. He has finally made up his mind to return to Ground Zero to be with his loved ones, but does not anticipate the effect meeting Natalie would be.
Natalie is Shannon's sister from book one in this series. She is coming home to help her sister, but she also comes with a secret. This secret has the potential to destroy her family. When she unexpectedly finds some sense of security, she tries to harbor it while it lasts, knowing once her secret is out it will no longer matter.
This story does have some unexpected twists and turns. I can't wait to see how it continues in the next book in this series!
I received an ARC copy of this story in exchange for a review, but you can be sure it will be a story I will purchase the second it becomes available.
The story starts out with two main characters that are going through such turmoil- one because of a love he lost, the other because of the pressures she feels in life. They were both characters that I could easily identify with and instantly felt a connection to.
Damien Keets is a struggling dominate male that is trying to right the wrong of his past and gets sucked into a world with friends that are his family until a beautiful blonde comes into his world like a hurricane. Natalie Harper takes a moment and runs away from her life that just got turned upside down to help her sister run a bar their father left her so her sister can go on a family vacation with her new husband and son. What happens next was anything but predictable.
I loved these characters, I felt like I was submerged in their world and their feelings and emotions were palpable. This is an amazing story that ends with a cliffy that had me wanting to hold Cherry down and threaten her that I NEED the rest of their story. It is a must read and something I would recommend to anyone and everyone.
'When did the geek look become sexy?' seriously with Cherry Shepard!!
Flawed is such a brilliantly written book that hooks you right in from chapter one, Keets had me with tears welling up.
The story deals with a range of issues such as self-harm, PTSD and Steember 11th, that were all dealt with sensitivity and grace.
Flawed deals with guilt, secrets, family, friends and coping.
It is a gripping page turner.
Natalie feels like she is in the shadow of her perfect sister, and one a drunken one night stand does little to help her
as she returns home from College to help take care of her sister's bar Saddles
Keets is an firefighter who watched the World Trade Center collapse with his fiancee and unborn child, he struggles with
survivors guilt and joins the Army which does not help ease his guilt.
Together these two flawed people find each other, with amazing pantie wetting sex sense and gripping suspense this book will have you hooked.
This is the second book in the Blaze of Glory series and can be read as a stand alone (as I did), however reading in order will give you a bit more background on some of the charters.
I can not wait for the next book in the series.
I received this book from the author Cherry Shepard for an honest review.
When I read that the storyline would included 9/11 I felt a little unease. Having sat in history class and watched the events take place, crying with the rest of the nation, is something I will never forget. So I was a little put off HOWEVER Cherry wrote about it with feelings and compassion.
After reading Imperfect, I wanted to know more about Keets. Obviously, he is broken from his past and can't seem to move forward. Natalie is the perfect other half for him. I love that they are both flawed and just want the other to be happy. Both are strong in their own ways. The story moves pretty quickly and covers a lot of time in what seems like a short amount of pages. I also was devouring this book which could be why it seemed to go by so fast. I know this is a series BUT I did not like the ending and I need to know what happens! Is book 3 ready yet?!?
Oh the tears. The heartbreak and the sorrow. This book pulled at my heartstrings sooo good!
I grabbed this book as I reviewed the first in the Blaze of Glory series. I admit I didn't read the blurb so I was surprised by the first, rip out my heart, chapter.
I cried a lot. A. LOT!
I feel so bad for everything that Keets lost on that day... THE day! 9/11.
I am still devastated by his loss.
14 years later, Keets is still affected. Who could blame him?
Then Natalie walks into his life. His feelings are conflicted, naturally.
Natalie has problems of her own.
The anguish is palpable.
Oh, I forgot the mention that you'll need a fan too... for your lady bits.
It's HOT!
I need the next book please, Cherry?
Now would be good.
Amazing. Love it. Read it!
This is only the second book I have read of Cherry.
I loved this book so much.
The emotions run high between Keets and Natalie. Each of them carry there own scars through life. Some you can see, some you cannot see. Can they each get past there hurts and find peace. Or will there past keep them apart.
The chemistry between Keets and Natalie is instant. The emotions that are written can be felt. The pain these two hide behind run deep. This book should come with a warning label. Warning: Needs wine, tissues and ice cream before reading.
I cried and I now curse you Cherry... Why why why did you have to do it. Why did you have to end it on a cliffhanger. I can never do well with cliffhangers at all.
What has she done
I read this book in less then a day.
Cherry had me in tears from the very beginning and I hated how it ended as now I want book 3.
Keets is dealing with something painful.from his pass 14 years ago. September 11 to be exact. We all know this day is very emotional but to.read about it in a book makes it seem very real.
Nat has just broken up with her boyfriend and gets too drunk and this one night stand starts a new journey for her but is this journey happy or sad. Only time will.tell.
If you are not a fan of cliffhangers then do not read this book till book 3 is out or if you are like me and read imperfect you just had to read flawed straight away.
Cherry watch out for me at RWDU I'm coming for you. Lol
Cherry Shephard will rip your heart out and leave you a sobbing mess. September 11th was a horrible day in American history as well as the world. We all cried, prayed and felt as if our safety was compromised.
This emotionally packed completely raw story will keep you turning the pages. Keets and Natalie are both damaged, flawed and hurting, they are each others perfect half but love isn't easy and their path to staying together is rough.
Flawless writing, intense moments, melt your panties sex scenes and and ending that will leave your jaw on the floor is completely worth the pain inflicted on your heart.
This book was a great read. I cried during the book of course but it was sad at the beginning and then at the end it was sad also. I am so glad that I was able to read this book as it being the second book in this series but it left me with a cliffhanger and wanting more of the next book. I love all the characters in the book and love how they are all connected together somehow. Stone, Shannon, and Zeke are all in the book and love them being in the book to show you how Keets and Natalie would meet and end up making each other better and how they are able to make themselves complete together. Great story and can not wait for the third story to come out!!!
