Another incredible book from Velvet! I am a huge fan of this series and this book did not disappoint! I absolutely loved it!!
You do need to read them in order, especially to understand who all the characters are!
Ashley & Sams story was without doubt amazing, full of relationship ups and downs, incredibly HOT and I also shed a few tears!
This book you will not want to put down. I have missed the whole gang from the first two books and it's really nice to see how things are going for them.
I have to say when a bomb is dropped on Sam, I just wanted to give him a big hug, the poor man. I really felt for him....I felt for everyone else in the family as well as for Ashley. That's all I will say as I do not want to give away anything!!
So many feels in this story, heat, sadness, happiness and then it ends with a kind of cliffhanger.....
I cannot wait to see what Velvet writes next. She has a great talent! I would read anything she writes!!

Five Awesome Stars! Ashley has a of history meeting the wrong man so she is unsure there is a happily ever after. Sam is a doctor who practices OBGYN. Sam has some secrets in his closet that start to interfere in their relationship. Will their relationship be able to survive? This is the third book in the Matters of the Heart Series. Velvet again proved what a fantastic Author she is. This series is a must read!

We have had a bit of a wait for this 3rd installment of Velvet Reed's Matters Of The Heart series, but A Home For My Heart is definitely worth the wait!
Sam "Vagina Man" and Ashley have been circling around each other for a while, but finally! At the end of Saving Our Hearts, they got their act together!
A Home For My Heart follows on from the events in Saving Our Hearts, and just like our lovelies, I couldn't keep the smile off my face as I started reading.
But the road to true love is not meant to be easy, and when events occur in Sam's life, it is probably the biggest obstacle they will ever face.
This story took off in a direction that I definitely had not expected - and I loved it! I love a story that surprises me - nothing worse than guessing where a story is going right at the start!
He broke my heart along with Ashley's when he walked away. I ran the full gamut of emotions along with Ashley. I am not afraid to admit that there were many a tear shed last night as I read.
I adored that we got more of Cole, Gracie and Cooper, as well as the rest of their extended families. I loved getting a peek into their lives - as well as getting a bit of a sneak peak as to where the series is going to go next.
And boy, after the sneak peek, I cannot wait for the next story in this series.

What the hell?
Seriously, that did not just happen?!?!?
Okay for starters, yay! Grace and Cole you two are amazing! Great wedding by the way it was truly romantic. Now the most gut wrenching and emotional part of this one, Sam and Ashley. Yes you heard it Dr. Sam Evans opens up in this one and it hurts oh god does it hurt! You will laugh, be smiling, but also you will feel dislike and hurt most of all in this one. To say that this book is my utmost favorite in the series is a understatement. I really truly loved this one with soo much of me that I am glad that I started this series! Okay now are you ready for this one? You remember nikki? Ruby's mother and Charlies wife that abandoned them? She makes her appearance and she couldn't have ruined such a happy moment then when he has in this one. I'll leave you with this...it's a cliffy just like book one where your like What the hell? No! Give me more! What happens? I know because I just experienced those same questions.
I NEED THE NEXT BOOK!!!

Ashley Brookes wants to believe in Happily ever after but she is not sure that it will exist for her. Sam Evans is a doctor at the local hospital and he is in the OBGYN department. He loves delivering babies. Save is also the brother of Ashley's best friend, Olivia found her happily ever after with Cole, Sam's best friend. They are planning their wedding. Olivia and Cole are very happy when Ashley and Sam start to date and seem like they are getting very close. Ashley knows she loves Sam but doesn't know how he feels. Then he asks her to move in but a sudden secret comes to life for Sam and he takes off and doesn't say anything to Ashley. Ashley is crushed, not only did her parents leave her with her grandmother but now so has Sam. As Ashley hits a downward spiral in her life a friend steps in to help. Can this romance survive when months go by with no word from Sam? This book does contain some sex so it isn't for all. It is a good read.

Sam and Ashley have had their fair share of heartbreak so attempting a relationship together was never going to be easy sailing, particularly when Sam had such a hard time expressing himself or even understanding his own heart.
"I've always refrained from displaying how I truly felt, but I'm learning that it's okay to show that I'm vulnerable ... even though I'm a man."
Tough on the outside, Sam has a world of hurt inside. He's never thought he was worthy of the type of love that Ash has to offer. He broke my damn heart! Ash did too, to be honest, she was just as vulnerable as Sam, just as broken inside. This made for one angsty read!
I devoured this book. I loved every second and cannot wait for more in this series! Beautifully written and totally captivating. 5 heartfelt stars!

Having loved the first two books in this series and waited for this one to be released I was not let down this was a great read that will put you through an emotional rollercoaster.
If you have not read the first two books then I would suggest you do so as you will get a bit lost, as not only do we get Sam and Ashley's story we also get to catch up with the rest of the gang. Velvet wrote this in a way that when Sam found out some shocking truths about his past us as readers could understand how he reacted the way he did, the same is true of how Ashley deals with it. Can't wait to read what's coming next from Velvet.

First off I was lucky enough to get an arc.
Wow so basically for the last three days I have been in the world of eat, and sleeping these characters of Cole, Gracie, Sam, tanner, Ashley, and little cooper.
Nothing says a romance novel with a long list parent or an adoption to ruin a relationship.
I was balling my eyes out when Sam found out and those nightmares of Ashley's.
I thought the end might have ended up being a pregnancy announcement for Ashley not Gracie and Cole trying.
How could I not put spoilers in.
Overall I will continue reading this series because it's so heartfelt, sweet and truthful.

I've been waiting so long for Sam and Ashley's story. And to my satisfaction it was well worth the wait ! In this installment the spotlight was on the life and courtship of Sam and Ashley and the insecurities that was contributed by their pass hurts.. Again I love the way the author unravels their individual flaws in order to arrive and the happy ending.. Sam and Ashley's carried the equal passion, chemistry, Understanding and tenderness of the previous reads and that I so love about the series this far... It is highly emotionally disappointing with the love and momentum flattens in a series and I'm so thankful that that did not happen here and I so looking forward to book 4 !!!

Another amazing book by Violet Reed! This book really pulled at my heart strings for the struggles that both Ashley and Sam went through in their childhoods as well as what happened in their relationship. It really puts you in their shoes.
I loved that this book included other characters points of view! I loved getting a little sneak peek into Charlie and Allison's story! Can't wait to read their book!

This was a much anticipated book! I am a HUGE fan of this series! From book one, I have fallen in love with this group of friends and family. And I have always felt like there was something special between "Vagina Man" Sam and "tough rocker" Ashley. Everybody's dream should be to find a perfect home for their heart. I cannot wait to find out more about the others in this lovely group of people.

I was looking forward to Sam and Ashley’s story but I didn’t enjoy it as much as I thought I would. They were separated for most of the book because Sam was a jerk who suddenly decided to leave Ash with no contact, even though he knew about her abandonment issues from childhood and had just asked her to move in with him. He only decided to fight for her when he found out she was moving on (Tanner was a better choice for her in my opinion).
Sam apologised and there was a HEA but the ending just didn’t give me any happy feelings. I give this book 3 stars because it was nice seeing more of Grace & Cole and I enjoyed the interactions between the rest of their families and friends.

I really enjoyed this story. We are set up to continue with Charlies book but there is nothing by the author in several years :(

Another great emotional story about the the trauma from childhood abandonment and learning the family doesn't always mean blood related. I'm looking forward to Charlie's story next.

OMG!!! Velvet you captured my heart with this one. I couldn't put it down. I loved the first two books in this series BUT this one, this story was sensational. I really want me a Sam now. I need more Sam so give me more Sam!!!!

I absolutely love this series by Velvet Reed. I’ve just reread the first two books in the series before reading this book. I love Reed’s writing style she makes you instantly fall in love with the characters and feel for them when something bad happens. In this third book in the series we follow the stories of Sam Evans and Ashley Brookes who we meet in earlier books. Sam being the best friend / brother to Cole and Ashley being best friends with Cole’s wife Grace. They look like they are a match made in heaven but the road isn’t that smooth for these two. Ashely likes to call Dr Sam, Vagina Man, that’s because he’s an OBYN. Both Sam and Ashely have had a tough upbringing in life…. With Sam’s parents being killed when he was young and then being adopted by Coles parents….. and Ashley’s parents leaving her at her Grandmothers house for a visit and not returning to pick her up when she was only a young child. Since Grace’s accident and the birth of Cooper, Sam and Ashley have become closer….. they have both been named God Parents to Cooper, an honour which they both love….. Everything is going along nicely for Sam and Ashley until Sam has a very unexpected visitor at work. This “blast from his past” totally rocks him…. He reacts the only way he knows and that’s by leaving…. Ashely is totally deverstated and heartbroken….. After about 3 months of trying to get his life back together Sam finally returns with the hope of getting Ashely back…. The only problem being that Ashely seems to have moved on with someone else…… Can these two get their life together and finally have the happy ending they deserve???? Or will they both move forward with other people……???? You’ll need to read to find out…….. We also see the start of a new relationship between Charlie and Allison….. these two have been amazing friends and only getting closer because of the bond that they share with Charlies daughter and Allison’s younger brother both being deaf……. Right near the end of the book these two decide to give it a go and see what the future holds……. BUT… (yes there is always a BUT)….. with the return of someone from Charlies past the future for Charlie and Allison may be over before it even starts…… I literally cannot wait for the next book in this amazing series to see what else is going happen with the family……. This is a fantastic read and one that I would highly recommend……. Start and book 1 and work your way through… you will not be disappointed……… there are lots of twists and turns….. parts where you will laugh…. Parts where you will cry……. But you will love the story…….

I rated it 4.5 stars because it was slow for me at first. I was so ready to dive in and see where Sam's and Ashley's relationship was going to go.
Don't get me wrong, I loved seeing their relationship build up. I was ready for action though. Action like with the other 2 books. Maybe some cat fights or something LOL!!
The book picked up after Sam had is little get a way. Saying that because he had to get away, he had to find himself. Dang Sam, I believe you took long enough. Funny how when another man steps in on what is your's, you're ready to come back and claim your prize.
There was some action though. Yeah Ashley gave Sam a nice welcome home present LOL!! I don't think anyone in the family saw that coming.

It's been a long year! But tonight's the night. Sam has been waiting for this night for over 6 months. No more back and forth with nasty comments. Ashley will be his tonight! But that's not all....we have a wedding to enjoy also! Cole and Grace decide to forgo the fancy wedding and bring their closest friends and family for a vacation wedding. Lots of fun in preparing and issues to work thru. All is good until Sam finds out his adoptive family has been keeping a secret. He is devastated by the truth and just leaves...including the new life he had with Ashley. No one know where he has gone. Time has passed and Ashley decides to move on with her new friend Tanner. Will Sam ever be able to handle the truth? Is he willing to throw away what he had? More drama, thrown punches and suspense. Minor cliffie at end that doesn't affect this storyline, but sets you up for a hopeful next book

I was anxious to read Sam and Ashley's story. Sam in so emotionally stunted, I had to know how this was going to go. Little did I know he was going to break my heart with his actions.
The build up between these two has been great. The books starts off a little slow to give us the readers a chance to experience their relationship growing. The catalyst that happens in the rest of the story was a shock I didn't see coming. Absolutely loved this story! I cried reading the "letter"; wanted to throw my kindle for a moment in the hotel room and cheered when Ashley gave Sam his "welcome home" gift.
You could read this book without reading the previous books in the series, but I suggest starting at book one so you will become familiar with the whole gang. With the ending, I eagerly await the next installment.

An intense, emotional and addicting read!
This is Sam and Ashley's story and, boy, was it so good! A journey filled with love, hurt and heartbreak but all the pain was worth it! Let me tell you: the author has a gift for writing and I'm so glad to have this chance to read this books, I have fallen in love with these characters, their family, their values and their love.
I loved getting a glimpse into Charlie's point of view. Cannot wait for his book!
Sam and Ashley's journey of finding each other and falling in love is a magical one full of heat and love but also full of pain and heartbreak. Be prepared for a terrible book hanover and crying.
Perfect for readers of contemporary romance.
This is Sam and Ashley's story and, boy, was it so good! A journey filled with love, hurt and heartbreak but all the pain was worth it! Let me tell you: the author has a gift for writing and I'm so glad to have this chance to read this books, I have fallen in love with these characters, their family, their values and their love.
I loved getting a glimpse into Charlie's point of view. Cannot wait for his book!
Sam and Ashley's journey of finding each other and falling in love is a magical one full of heat and love but also full of pain and heartbreak. Be prepared for a terrible book hanover and crying.

OMG I loved this book. If you are looking for a great ugly cry, this is the book. I did a few times. Velvet brought out the feels in me. Had me crying, smiling and laughing through this book. Even a couple of panty changes required.
I adore Ashley's attitude. We can all related to the heart break she experiences, in some ways, and the way Velvet words it all, has you feeling for her. Not just wish her.
Sam is just a sweet heart that you want to love and kick his arse at the same time.
A certain man named Tanner in the book I just want for myself. He is everything a women deserves.

The last book of the series (so far) was fantastic!!!! Apart from the cliff hanger, I really enjoyed this book and the previous ones. Cole and Gracie, Sam and Ashley, Charlie and Allison, Tanner what a whirl wind (and the other characters)!!! This series is so family orientated, full of love, hurt and trust. I'm hoping for a book 4!!!!

I absolutely love this series. Sam and Ashley's story is just as great as Grace and Cole's. Can't wait to read the rest of this series
