Get swept away to Greece in this international romp where you'll meet a few Gods and Goddesses, and fall in love with Quinn Morris as she transforms from a heartbroken mess to the goddess of love.
Mythology buff Quinn Morris has always wanted to visit Greece, where her inner hardcore romantic envisioned proposing to her boyfriend. And she's finally here--with her friend Ingrid. She might not have found love at the Parthenon, thanks to her cheating ex, but she has found big boobies...and swirly purple eyes...and sparkling skin. Oh, and Greek hottie Khristos, who claims to be descended from a goddess and swears Quinn's the new Aphrodite.
With help from Khristos, and support from Ingrid's employers--Nina, Wanda, and Marty--Quinn has to learn all the tricks of the matchmaking trade, STAT, lest she has her new friend Cupid sticking arrows in all the wrong places. All while dealing with her man-hating mother, guarding her own heart from Khristos, and protecting herself from an invisible foe who might want to snatch Quinn's newfound powers from her--dead or alive.

I am aware it is book 10, and there were a lot of side characters that must have had their own books. But in the end it did not matter. This was Quinn´s book, and those side peeps were her new friends. With their own baggage
It was a shortish fun story. Quinn goes to Greece after her ex left her. Boom. Magic! Big books and the powers of Aphrodite. What on earth happened?! If I were to have questions it would be, if Aphro is the Goddess of love for the entire world, then there are no other gods? Why just the Greek ones? They were not first. I love mythology so my head brain goes haywire.
Oh and then there is Khristos that says he will help her with her new powers. Hot single Khristos.
Learning to match people, guarding your heart from a hunk, and new quirky friends. That sums it up. A fun story
Good narration, though one of the voices was not a fav of mine. Her book might not be for me. But the rest were good
I began this series with book #2, then I read several in the series and jumped to 10. I love the title because of Aphrodite, so I had some preconceived ideas going into it. I know she is the goddess of love, beauty, and procreation, so I was excited to see who got accidentally changed and if she became a sex goddess or what.
First, I've always love mythology and the Greek gods and goddesses, so having the setting in Greece was a lot of fun for me. Lots of fun with Quinn, the MC, who is big time into mythology herself. So when she goes to Greece, we get to meet a lot of gods/goddesses, and even (of course) Cupid. Let's just say there's a new Aphrodite in town, but someone doesn't like that! Oh, this one was too fun.
I swear every time I start one of these books, at the beginning I'm thinking it should be toned down with all the slang and references and the last several have just dropped you right down in the midst of the crisis already in progress.
But then I get a little ways in and I have feelings and little chuckles to myself usually due to Nina and her collection of people and creatures she loves and will eat your face off if you hurt them in any way.
Quick and entertaining and Nina-feelings.
The main downside this time is
But this series is just goofy and fluff and as long as she keeps them coming, I'll keep reading them.
Let’s add a goddess to the paranormal chaos! I'm a sucker for Greek mythology and a believer that romances are better in books, so I definitely loved Quinn. I liked how we got to see all different kinds of love and see that true love can happen rather unexpectedly. Khristos was charming and sweet, and the scenes where he helped Quinn make matches were heartwarming. I would love to see a Gods vs. Vamps football game!
I have really enjoyed this series so far. The books are not life changing, deep or anything like that. They are funny, crazy, full of life drama and just simply fun.
1⭐️ - Initially pulled in from the interesting premise but wow this wasn't for me. The dialogue was juvenile, unnatural, and the "humor" gave me cringe whiplash. The constant nonsensical cursing and different words for boobs that span the vocabulary of a middleschooler didnt do the story any favors. I know this is 10 in a series and brings in lots of past characters but it would probably be able to stand on its own if it didn't shoehorn like five of them in. Also this is labeled paranormal romance but the spice is basically nonexistent and that's what i came here mainly for so i'm a bit salty about it.
Characters - 3 (The OG cast saved this rating!) Story - 3 Pace - 2 Quality - 3 Cover & Blurb - 4 Overall - 3.2
It was a bumpy ride, but overall, I liked the book. I much prefer this series in audio though. It's far easier to overlook the faults that way. I'll still continue with it either way.
Love all the books so far. But one question. I am listening to it on audible. Why did the narrator change? I liked the first one way better. The characters sound to similar now :/
Like Paranormal characters? Like mysteries? Like laughing out loud? Then the Accidental series by Dakota Cassidy is for you! In this book, we meet Quinn Morris: romantic, bookish, into mythology and happily ever after. Her dream trip to Greece included a proposal from her boyfriend. When he dumped her, she decided to go anyway with her friend Ingrid. When Quinn finds a golden apple at the Parthenon, she becomes Aphrodite — which leads to big boobs, purple eyes, and hunky Khristos, guardian of THE apple. All is not well, however.
When Quinn returns to NY, she faces her man-hating mother and an invisible foe trying to kill her. Friend Ingrid works for those OOPS (Out In The Open Paranormal Support) gals —- Wanda, Marty and Nina. The paranormal trio, along with a zombie, demon and Khristos, move in with Quinn to teach her match-making tricks and to protect her. Let the party begin!
This is a cute, fairly light, paranormal rom-com. It's a fun premise with likeable characters. It does contain foul language, some violence, and a spicy scene.
Spoilers ahead!! A few things I wish were tossed in(or not edited out?) for continuity/my sanity are: How her work was performed worldwide(is this a Santa situation?) How does Kristos snap and make things happen but Quinn doesn't get to learn about that and do it too?, is Quinn somehow paid? Did she stop working in a bookstore? Why did her body go back? A little more story on who and what some of the characters were would have helped me keep track. Were they in a previous series? It seemed like I was supposed to know who they were, but I didn't. I'll be reading the next stories because I did enjoy it, and want to see what else happens, and maybe my questions will be answered.
Goddess of Love decides on who are True Mates and tells Cupid where to shoot the arrow.
10th book in the series and clearly the author has run out of really good ideas of how the ‘Accident’ can happen, who to, and what the outcome will be. I got the first 2 chapters as a Freebie in the Interview Book by Dakota and bought the book on the strength of them. But they were the only good parts - sorry Dakota. I failed to finish the book as it failed to raise even a snigger and seemed to lack action and story.
It's not so much that I didn't like the book, I did.. I just think the language used in the book (not the swearing) but the words chosen by the author were unnecessary. I feel like people don't actually talk that way it some of the wording annoyed me very much. My favorite part of the whole book was the character Nina, she was hysterical. I also thought the ending was rushed. I did however enjoy the concept of the book itself, and the spicy scenes were also very nice haha.
Fun and unexpected. This novel was fun to read and the storyline was totally unexpected. This book has some of everything - humor, mystery, paranormal, and romance. It has the best cast of characters ever - zany and wacky. I recommend this book to anyone who likes a light hearted read.
I was skeptical before I started reading this book in the series but it turned out just about as good as all of Dakota's books. I love the journey that our goddess-to-be works through to get to her happily-ever-after. Great job on another wonderful story.
I am over the moon with Dakota Cassidy‘s accidentally series. I love the characters and feel like they have become my friends. I look forward to each new book and the new characters that join them.
Ms. Cassidy has a way of telling a story that hits all of the emotions. Definitely a must read. Her creative weave of a story with larger than life characters is sure to you racing for the next installment in this series.
I like it, but I didn't love it. There just wasn't much steam between the two MCs. They were just a little flat, but I loved Nina, as always. I wish we had a little more Marty and Wanda. Oh, and Darnell better get his own book.
I am new to this author and the series (I didn’t read the Accidentally Paranormal ones first). I think her writing is delightful, witty and very entertaining. All her characters are unique and diverse. I’m definitely continuing on to book 2!
My opinions of books by Dakota Cassidy are mixed - I began by enjoying a book, then not so much, and this one I gave up about half way through. I think it was the genre that just didn't capture me at all. I've got plenty of other books to read.
One of my favorite series! The characters are amazing, so well written, and freaking hilarious! Dakota is a great author! I highly recommend checking this series out!
YES! The Greek Gods have made an appearance. I finally got to this one after finishing the rest of the series. This was so much fun, and I loved the crazy that this one brought.
