Mind Control in the United States By Steven Jacobson published in 1985 is very interesting book, I found it to be very readable. Cathy O’Briens book Trans-formation of America is what led me Jacobson’s book, after O’Briens book I can no longer be shocked, so this isn’t so over the top to be unbelievable, however just because things are unbelievable doesn’t make them untrue. These conspiracy books are interesting because they are a divergence from the Norm, and the norm has become so unbelievable that alternate sources must be sought after, in my personal desire for truth; the mainstream teachings just are not cutting it for me any longer.
“Reality is a state of mind. Change your state of mind and you change reality. The population has been conditioned by a mass media created reality. Long-term exposure to this artificial reality cannot help but have an enormous impact on the social, political and spiritual life of the nation. Many people, especially young people, accept unquestioningly the reality presented by the media. Popular culture (movies, television and music) carries messages about how society works, what’s right and wrong and how people should behave. Entertainment is not value- free. It has ideological content and presents a world view that influences those who watch the programming. Entertainment is not just entertainment. It is also propaganda.”

Basic information. He does highlight the use of division to break up the family structure and control people. One instance is by encouraging fear among elders of marijuana and encouraging it's use and rebellion among the youth.

Great insight, eye opener, leads you on a journey wanting more.
I felt like this book ended too soon. As someone that has heard a lot of different conspiracies I thought by the title I would find out a lot of different things I hadn't heard before. Their are a few things you can always learn in a good conspiracy book. I would say for newbies this can be an eye opener. But any conspiracy book is going to get a good rating from me.

Very surface-level conspiracy theory book. Illuminati, the global financial system, religion, secret knowledge, subliminal messaging, blah blah blah. Heavy on assertions; light on evidence and supporting facts. It’s “Baby’s First Conspiracy Book”. It’s the book equivalent of the Zeitgeist film.

Good stuff about propaganda and television but nothing you havent heard before most likely if you found this book. Some wild New Age bs at the end. Decent I guess.

This book is quick and straight to the point, LOADED with references for you to do your own research. Absolutely recommend.
