This book isn't bad, just a little lightweight. It admittedly provided me with a framework for doing our first LLC-based taxes but I've had to find out the hard way -- really hard way -- about some things that weren't covered or weren't sufficiently covered. A good place to start, but if your startup LLC has some complexity to it, be prepared to discover some things this book doesn't prepare you for. I'd buy it again if starting over just for, like I said, a basic framework, and of course it's impossible for this type of book to cover every type of contingency, but I'd be looking for a more comprehensive resource to refer to when done with this one ... and consider hiring a good business accountant.

This read/reference was just what I needed. It helped with my mental construct on how a business looks and gave me the vocabulary that I could then use with our accountant: "What is meant by X?" and "How can we do Y?" Lacking so much critical vocabulary when starting up your own business can be a hindrance because you don't even know how to structure a question that doesn't just sound like "Help! I need Help! Who can Help me? What's the help I need? I don't know what I'm doing here, can someone help me?" You really want to craft a better question to get the answers you'll need. This book helped me to that end. My thanks to the authors Clyde Bank Business.

The is truly an overview that will quickly summarize the basic of business taxes.

If your LLC is complex, you already started your business, and your looking for information geared towards your business. Don’t get this book.

If your pressed for time and want to know the basics right away and expect to do further research and pay for additional books. Then I guess you can get it🤷🏽‍♀️

I gave it two stars because I don’t feel it’s a necessary book, you can get another tax book that will go over everything in detail.
