Favorite line: “Witness the countless human beings who get through all manner of difficulty without abusing food or any other substance” (133). It breaks through any misbeliefs in our capacity to handle the tough stuff.

this book was FIRE. super convicting. great practical breakdown of each concept with great examples, he always point us readers right back to the Lord. it was such a great book 10/10 will read again, God-willing!!

I read this back in 1993, and from my diary was very satisfied with the help it gave.
