DEER GOD, IT'S ME, JUSTY, (a novel) recounts a week in the life of Justaron Bartholomew, a spirited 6-year-old from Chugwater, Wyoming, and the interactions he has with the people closest to him...most importantly his aged neighbor (a former teacher with a "hesitatin' heart") who quotes her dear-departed mother's silly colloquialisms to impart humor and wisdom to those around her, such as..."Pamperin' a pet is like peein' indoors. It's somethin' only the rich folk do." This is a story of inspiration that brings a message of hope for those who believe that God is listening.
This book made me cry not only for the people in the story but for my own life. I only hope i can follow the lessons it gave so i can stop crying over my choices
