I love the art style, the story is good. The only thing that bothered me was the age difference. Hino is changing with the time, which I really liked.
If you like Hino, this is a good addition. If you are on the fence, this is a short series (This is the final) so it is not a huge commitment.

The first volume was really good but this 2nd one fell flat for me, I know it’s only a short series but it just felt like a lot to put into one volume, the art was beautiful though I really love the authors artwork

I chose this manga as my Valentine's Day series this year because it is only 2 volumes (11 chapters). The story is rather "light" on plot, but I don't really have any harsh comments. I like the art because it relies strongly on the character features of Vampire Knight. There are no vampires in this series. The main character is a teenage female ninja. If I have any negative thoughts about this story, it is that the main character seems to be an accomplished ninja who is constantly placed in dangerous situations by people who want her to become a "normal" high school girl. In contrast when asked to train less experienced ninja, she turns down that "job" offer and then gets hurt in another dangerous encounter!

This wasn't that bad of a story but a lot more could happen in the story and development of the characters and plot. Especially with Suzuki, Mahito and Mikage herself. Mahito, Mahito's sister,Ichinose,Kazemaru, and I think Kagemaru has bearly any development in the story. The action scenes were poorly done and the romance with Mikage and Mr. Rod was creepy and weird. Mikage I believe couldn't have really love Mr. Rod because she was brought up to not have any emotion( her mom never realized for some reason)and wasn't around much people who were actually kind to her. She is confusing love with respect or kindness. Also he is the age of her father and she's only sixteen,it's creepy. Suzuki would have been better for her. MANY things made no sense in the story too,like how Mikage's mom never realized she was a ninja or how she was hit in the head with a huge piece of metal and still lived. Mahito seems to be still being affected by some sort of illness. Is it from being poison? No seems to noticed or care in the story. Also the writer is has a father complex I think because she tends to have her female leads have lovers who are their fathers age or act as a father. Vampire Knight and Wanted are a good example of that. The Master and Servant thing she does is bizzare too like she did with Captive Hearts. At the end of volume two Matsuri Hino mention that she thought it would incredible to have a high school girl who puts her own life on the line to protect a stunning older man. She also says some men might have a interest in fiercely loyal and ridiculously serious high school girls. She said this was her loosing up. I really don't like this whole pedo like comments and themes Matsuri Hino and Yana Toboso( she writes Kuroshitsuji/ Black Butler) does. Yet the fans ignore it or defend it. The story could have been better. The story focused too MUCH on her wearing pleats and being in Highschool. I guess she was busy with Vampire Knight Memories at the time....same thing she did with Wanted. It could have a longer and better written story. Instead of this father complex thing.

There is no excuse for bad writing when you are a professional and provided you could actually write well.

Hmm a little bit of mixed feelings on volume two.
I LOVED the previous volume and while there were many elements in this one I liked a lot, I didn’t care for the romantic aspect in this one. I thought if there was going to be a romantic subplot it would be with a certain someone and it wasn’t. I was pretty bummed about that because it could have been something special I feel and would have gone with the theme of being “a normal high school girl.”
I continued to really like Mahito a lot! He is probably one of my second favorite characters outside of Mikage because he is such a kind man! It made me smile and occasionally laugh when Mikage even voices this to him.
And speaking of Mikage, part of why I still enjoyed this volume is because it was SO great seeing her grow and change from volume one! I definitely loved her in volume one, but seeing her living out what her Old Master wanted for her was very satisfying. Plus, she really is adorable!

My review of the first of this two-volume series noted the good and bad. Both are still there, but the bad is still outweighed by the good. Also, it is outweighed by the fact that the author states, and I think it true, that this was her intention all along.
The book seems to slide all over the place in terms of genre, but the mangaka, Matsuri Hino, seems to just have wanted to have fun and tell a not-so-serious story. For that reason, it is clear she knew of the problems of the story in a technical sense, but didn't care. It's fun to write and hopefully to read is, I believe her attitude. For that, I can be more merciful with my review and rating, since I did enjoy the story immensely.
The characters are very engaging and the story seems to be all over the place but is tied up well at the end, which is probably all that can be expected from a tw0-volume manga trying to tell a complete tale.
I definitely recommend this fun tale. It might be annoying a bit at first with the inability to pinpoint the genre and so forth, and the sudden twists in such a short time. Nevertheless, the charms of the story, a fun tale, relatable characters, great adventure, and breath-taking art, more than make up for this.

Nearly As Good As The First!
The only reason for that would be the awkward feelings that Mikaji has for her master, as he is twice her age, but then I kind of understood it. It was just like he said when he saved her, she's confusing her duty and reasoning to protect his life for feelings of love for him.
He was always her one constant in the world of shinobi once she was hired on his team, and I think since she was at an early age, she mixed the feelings up. She has a once track mind. Strategy, enemies, protecting Master. One at a time. When it comes to the Self and true feelings, I think she's still exploring that. So, no these last chapters didn't make me hate the series, because I still like the action. This time there were even boats and scuba gear and even a freaking helicopter. It doesn't get anymore James Bond than that.
No, sorry, it surpassed James Bond. Ninjas, the Shinobi, have a whole new meaning to the word protection. They sign contracts, dedicate their lives to their master, while spies are in it for a career and can stop at any time. At least, if they want to change their face or fake their death, that is.

No ha estado nada mal pero vaya, tampoco es que sea para tanto, como siempre los dibujos perfectos y tengo que decir que Mikage me recuerda un poco Yuuki y zero, vaya una combinación de los dos por lo demás es una historia bastante simple.

The author needs to learn how to do world building and pacing properly. The story was all over the place. It was too ridiculous to take seriously.

This manga in two volumes is rather pleasant to read. The heroine looks a lot like Yuki from Vampire Knight written by the same author. The only one lacking is that a third volume is missing. The story goes too fast and the end seems unfinished.🌱

Mikage è una shinobi, ossia un ninja che ha il compito di proteggere l'affascinate Mr Rod che dopo anni la considera ormai come una figlia e la tratta come tale: vorrebbe che lei abbandonasse il suo lavoro per vivere com una normale ragazza della sua età. Alla morte improvvisa dell'uomo Mikage decide di esaudire il desiderio dell'uomo, ma sul suo percorso incontra Mahito la cui famiglia è legata a dei particolari semi che proteggono a costo della vita e che sono anche la causa della morte di Mr Rod. Mikage vuole quindi risolvere il mistero legato ai semi e poi vivere davvero la sua vita come voleva Mr Rob. Compito non facile con così tanti nemici intorno e con segreti che vengono fuori improvvisamente... La degna e completa conclusione di questa serie in due volumi: i disegni di Matsuri Hino sono bellissimi come sempre (ha disegnato Vampire Knight) ma la storia colpisce tantissimo per la rappresentazione molto reale dei personaggi sopratutto della protagonista che è cresciuta dovendo reprimere e non mostrare sentimenti ma con l'aiuto di Mr Rode di Mahito inizierà ad aprirsi e a comprendere meglio quello che prova, diventando una persona e non una macchina.

Felt like an epilogue until it wasn't, basically it felt it was wrapping up things and then tweaked things to make it a bit longer. Like the guy she was protecting is now cured and the whole seeds thing has wrapped up as well but the it introduces new things about her old boss into the works. So our lead has to run around doing that and we end up with a very non ending. I expected her to get with someone, heck it was even hinted that she liked another person. Whist it was interesting how it played out with those two, you don't really get much of a resolution in this.
I don't think this volume was nearly as good as the first, the bit that felt like an epilogue kind of dragged it's feet. How many times can you talk about seeds without it getting boring? It was brought up a lot and the fact she wanted to be a "normal girl" which I was all for. Then you get a shift in the plot and suddenly the goal of the series, isn't the goal anymore. I kind of wish this series continued after this, as the new dynamic would have been interesting to explore. I like what we got but I just wanted a bit more, that way we could have got a decent conclusion instead of this very non ending we got.

It looks like the author wanted to have a little bit of fun/not take this project too seriously. Definitely can understand wanting to have a project that's not so consuming. That said I still think there is something in her style of writing or something that gets lost in translation because I get a tad bit confused with the storylines and with this one being so short and a lot of things needing to come together at the end... it did what it needed to do.
I didn't mind this series that much but after having read/checked out two other series I'm not sure if I'll ever go back and finish up VK from start to finish. Or MP since I'm not sure if I ever finished that one either.
And I liked that she went for it (as far as not taking her self so seriously, which as a write can be hard to do at times). Go you :)

SIGH. I did not hate it, but this concluding volume leaves a lot to be desired. If this had been a manga focusing on a ninja girl adapting to everyday school life (a la the beginning of Full Metal Panic which featured a soldier having an undercover mission as a civilian high schooler), I might have loved this series. As it is...Mikage seems to stay a bit stagnant even though the other characters comment on her “changing” personality. I don’t know, I just wanted more than I got.

Super bittersweet, especially for a final volume. There’s a lot of loose ends that don’t get wrapped up in this one. Faculty room boy - or rather Suzuki - is SUPER sweet in this one and I feel real lot bad for him. He was my favorite character.
Sort of a “meh” read, to be honest. I wish it was longer because then things would have been not quite so fast. (I got a little whiplash from read it lol)

I tried to give this series another chance by reading this volume but it really wasn't anything special. Quite disappointed.

The quality of this volume was a little better than the first one. I did think it went too fast, but what else do you expect from a 2 volume manga? That extra half star was really for the epilogue; it was kinda funny.

3 stelline e mezzo! Lo stile mi piace, forse avrei preferito almeno un altro numero per vedere il "dopo" della vita di Mikage. La shippavo con Mahito.....e niente. Un po' corta, mi sarebbe piaciuto vedere altre avventure tra scuola e vita da ninja!

I liked the first book a lot more. The conspiracy behind the seeds was interesting, I guess, but her having romantic feelings for someone old enough to be her father when she's a high school student is meh. I would have liked to see her with Suzuki and his sparkly-glowing smiles.

Better than the first one. But still... Hmmf, not so very good. Which is quite disapointing considering Meru Puri is the best and Vampire Knight was also a good for the first part of the series... ending not so much though.

The story kind of stunned me just a little bit, I was taken by surprise to see that Mikage was infatuated with her master. I was expecting just a father-daughter relationship instead of a servant(?)-master one.

My goodness, all the boys liked Mikage lol. I was very fond of Mahito myself. Sadly, it was left unresolved in that aspect. I wish this was longer. I think it would’ve been good. Also, I need more of Hino Matsuri’s art!!!! It’s so pretty!!!!!
