Casey Faraday was a soldier before he was a spy, but family always came first, no matter what.

When a member of the Faraday clan is snatched off the streets and dragged halfway across the world, it’s Casey who follows the kidnappers’ trail to South America. Thrust into the heart of the cartel he barely escaped during an undercover assignment four years earlier, he’s unprepared for the shock awaiting him on Colombian soil.

Ilda Almeida—the only woman to ever tempt Casey into madness, the beautiful wife he’d mourned for years—is very much alive. And keeping a secret that will forever change life as he knows it.

Casey can’t control his hands—or his heart—around Ilda, but neither can he abandon his rescue mission. When cartel violence turns the jungle into a bloodbath, he can only protect one family: his.

The Faradays, never a dull moment : The action begins from the very first page, and it never really lets up. The third Blood Money novel begins as Casey Faraday is organizing the family to go after baby brother Adam, who has been kidnapped off the street and taken to Columbia for reasons unknown. Casey spent some time about four years ago working undercover as a brigadier in the Marin cartel, under a certain cartel head named Pipe. As the story unfolds, we find out alot about Casey, including his secret relationship and marriage to, Ilda Almeida. A secret marriage that had Casey leaving Columbia believing himself to be a widower. Since this is in the blurb, I don’t feel badly about giving those deets, but to keep this as spoiler free as possible, I’m about to vague it up some. Basically, from there, the story brings the angst hard and kept me turning the page well into the night.

Oh the delicious tension : In order to invest in a romantic suspense story, I need to feel tense. Like I’m gonna need a massage afterwards because my shoulders are bunched up and I’m waiting for that shoe to drop in the most painful way possible. I need to engage with those characters, to feel the danger, the adrenaline rushes, I need it all. While reading Casey and Ilda’s story, I felt that delicious tension, the thrill running up and down my spine, and I loved it. Casey and Ilda are gobsmacked when they see each other and their reunion is explosive. As for easy answers as to the whys, well there aren’t any and that’s the best thing. For example...

Nothing is black and white : If there’s one thing that I admire, it’s an author that can take a villain or a hero and imbue them with so many layers that it’s not a matter of simply calling them Hero or Villain. These are complex, fascinating characters and I was as intrigued with Pipe as I was with Casey, even as I rooted for Casey and Ilda to reunite. That’s not an easy thing to do and I admire Ms. Harris for her willingness to shine a light on all the corners of their souls, light and dark. To let the reader see that there are no easy answers, just hard choices.

There are head scratcher moments : I have to note that there are moments where I had to say “what the ever loving fuck are they thinking” when it came to certain actions taken, right in the midst of some intense and dangerous situations. Action that lead to hot sex or touching moments, but all I kept thinking was “Is this the proper time to do that? You know, when LIFE IN DANGER?” Also, Ilda’s choice to stay as part of Pipe’s world? Yeah, that wasn’t easy to swallow at first. Once I learned the truth of her life for those four painful years, well I have to admit that it became easier to understand why Ilda would continue to stay in Pipe’s orbit, considering the inherent danger.

Want more now : Adam! Lordy I want to know more about Adam and I cannot wait to read his story. To be honest, I want it all now. This series has moved up the ranks of my fave action/adventure books and I want to know more about this world they inhabit.

I really enjoyed Casey and Ilda’s intense, angsty romance and the suspense was crazy. Even with some crazy plot choices, I am loving this series and I love the Faradays. They’re a very interesting family and I can’t wait ‘til it’s time to visit with them again.

OMG I love this series and all its books so effing hard! CRAZED was no exception! Thanks for the opportunity to read this early, Edie Harris!

Sort of review will follow soon, I need to gather my thoughts so it won't be gushing rambling non-sensical gibberish... :)

I just finished and am still reeling. In a good way...a very good way! This book! This series! These characters! This author! This writing! I just can't!
It's all so good. It all resonates with me. It ticked all my boxes. I read it in fits between work and revisions on a freelance translation gig and every single moment I wasn't reading I was thinking about the book! About Casey, about Ilda, about the plot, about the super sexy sexy times. And even wondering why the heck hollywood and/or TV producers/execs haven't picked up on this series because seriously people!!! This belongs on a screen! Preferably in weekly episodes on TV so I can add it to my list of 'shows that are worthy of getting on my DVR-ing roster'.

Now that I've let the gush out I might be able to say something remotely comprehensible about the book itself. This is a series you really need to read in order. And I'm not just saying that because I'm a read-in-order-fanatic. The ongoing suspense plot, that is brilliantly divided in small subplots over the course of all the books out to-date and undoubtedly those coming in the future, is one that you don't want to fall into 3 books in. It's all connected and I just can't wait to find out more about the what, who and why.

In every single book of this series I've read Harris does an excellent job of mixing the suspense and the romance of this series. The balance is perfect! The plot is mindblowing and keeps you at the edge of your seat with developments and turns you just don't see coming and in this book the romance, despite touching some known tropes (that I LOVE to read but) that not everyone loves, also held some surprising moments that made me appreciate Edie Harris even more than I already did.

CRAZED took me through the complete gamma of emotions: fear, excitement, surprise, heat, joy, endearment, laughter...you name it, I went through it!
The only reason I'm not giving this book the full 5 stars is because I felt the villain was not dealt with in a for me satisfying way...this was the only tiny, minimal, minor issue I had with this book.

That epilogue had me chomping at the bit for the next installment because this series is a definite keeper, auto-buy, auto-read, favorite! Edie Harris to me is the Queen of Brilliant and Addictive Romantic Suspense and I will shamelessly fall at her feet to beg for more in this series that is so good I turn into a babbling lunatic instead of a eloquent book reviewer!

OUT TODAY!!! GET THIS BOOK! :D
First, a million thanks to Edie, who was kind enough to send me a super rare ARC to read. I really appreciate it! <3

Second, OMG OMG OMG

If you haven't started this series already, what are you waiting for? This is the most exciting, sexiest romantic suspense I've ever read. It's incredibly difficult to pick a favorite book in the series, because all of the characters feel so real to me.

I was, quite literally, on the edge of my seat multiple times in this book. Edie doesn't pull ANY punches in Crazed. Emotions, high and low, abound. Casey and Ilda stole my heart, and I loved every moment of their story. Even knowing this book, as a romance, would have the couple happily together, there were a few times where I legitimately had NO idea how the H/H would be able to make it together due to outside forces and complications the plot forced on them. I can't say that for many books I've read.

As always, Edie Harris' writing and voice are just superb. I didn't want this book to end, but when it did, I was ready for the next one! *impatiently waits*

All in all, I highly recommend this entire series, and each one only gets better than the last amazing book. (I might just die before we get Adam's story, though!)

Casey is working undercover in a Columbia cartel when he meets the woman of his dreams. A brief romance, a quick marriage and he is ready to take his new bride back home. Only in a church fire she is killed. Flash forward 4 years, Casey’s younger brother is kidnapped. All intel points to the same cartel, so he heads back to Columbia where his beloved wife is not dead. And she has secrets that will change his whole world.

Now that was one exciting read! Twist, turns, secrets and a scary cartel leader keep Crazed running on high adrenaline. Casey and Ilda were real great characters. I had a twingey moment about thinking they had too insta of a love connection. Except once you factor in how crazy mad in love they were, guess you can’t blame them for getting it on so quickly. The secondary characters played a major factor instead of just background fluff. Who was good, who was bad, honestly Ms. Harris had me trying to figure it out the whole way through, especially Pipe. Him I had a teeny soft spot for until… *Backs away slowly with hands raised* That I didn’t see coming. I’d say it all ends on an epic ending except I can’t help but think the epic ending was triple-fold. What does that mean you say? You’ll have to read to find out although I will say this. There is a HEA, there is a cliffy, and there is a next book. Can’t wait to see what happens next!

A note regarding the secondary characters. Once again, I’m jumping into a series without reading the previous titles. Sometimes it works, other times it doesn’t. If I stick to Casey and Ilda’s story, I was just fine. However, I just couldn’t keep the other Faraday’s that already had their stories straight in my head. It took me a while, and a peek at the previous blurbs, to figure out Tobias and Chandler were a couple, but I couldn’t absorb Beth and Vick. There’s also a underlying story regarding a mole in the mix. If I disregarded all these previous players, I was just fine. Even seeing that there was going to be a story regarding Adam, I was cool with. Adding everybody else into the mix without reading the previous books, let’s just say read then so you have a better understanding than I did.

For my first book by author Edie Harris, Crazed was fairly good. She has a good combination of danger, intrigue and characters that keeps everything moving along at a rapid pace. Outside of not reading previous books in the Blood Money series, I would recommend reading Crazed.

I received this book from the JeepDiva for the express purposes of an honest review. The opinions and rating of this review are solely mine and in no way was I compensated.

Casey and Ilda met, fell in love, spent a short time together and then one horrible day happened and they believed the other had died in a cataclysmic situation. Four years later they realize that this is not true when Casey heads back undercover trying to locate his younger brother kidnapped by a Columbia Cartel. Casey and Ilda are definitely soul mates with a combustible steamy relationship and difficulties most couples will, thankfully, never encounter.

Casey is the oldest Faraday sibling, a take charge protective caring sexy alpha male. He carries a lot on his shoulders but those shoulders are very broad, strong and able to carry the load. He has brothers and sisters who are involved in the family business of making arms sold to the US government and it sounds like each sibling has quite a lot to offer to the family company. Casey is an interesting character and one that I enjoyed getting to know.

Ilda is a talented beautiful musician with the voice of a songbird. She lost her sister, nearly died, had a baby on her own and did the best you could to survive and give her child the best possible future based on what she thought she knew. Being caught up in a Columbia cartel provided her security and safety for herself and her child but then things began to change.

Pipe – the leader of the cartel – was intelligent, ruthless and lived by a rigid set of rules. He was a classy but scary man that I would not want to cross.

There is intrigue, violence, steamy sex, decisions to be made, a kidnapping that I thought would be resolved differently and the set up for future books in the series was delightfully done. I left wanting to read the first two books to find out more about Beth & Vick and Chandler & Tobias. I also would like to get my hands on book four to find out what will happen with Gillian. And, that said…that undercover priest sounds like he might need a story in the future along with quite a few other characters I met in this book.

Thank you to NetGalley and Carina Press for the copy of this ARC to read and review.

It's tempting to rate this up since I was so disappointed in my last book, but I think I am going to go with a very high leaning four stars.

I was super into this. SUPER into this, which was a relief, because the second book didn't click for me as much as the first one had and the first one is still one of my favorites. Admittedly, it helps that it has some of my favorite tropes , but it just felt solid.

Liked the couple, liked their relationship, liked the limited family stuff we got, just liked everything. Except that I have to wait until October for the next book.

(I have such a fear that the next book will make me love Adam even more and then I will suffer book let down when I get to him, but that is future me's problem because I can't wait for Gillian's book, BE AMAZING.)

My love for this series keeps growing with each book, this is my favourite book of the series to date. It was well placed, well sequenced, action-packed and an all around great read. I loved the characters both main and secondary, I felt for them for all they went through to be together. I felt a myriad of emotions while reading Crazed, one minute I'm happy, the next sad, after that I'm angry then anxious, on the edge of my seat figuratively biting my nails can't wait to what happens next and finally bittersweet.

I thoroughly enjoyed enjoyed this book and I'm anxiously awaiting the release of the next one, Thrilled. I can already tell the wait will be a torturous. If you're a fan of Romantic Suspense I highly recommend this book and series, you won't be disappointed.

Ripped, the second book in the Blood Money series by Edie Harris, left readers in a daze when Adam, beloved youngest brother of the Faraday clan, was kidnapped right off the street in the epilogue. Adam! They took Adam. sob Crazed is Casey’s story and thankfully picks up immediately where book two left readers hanging.

With Adam missing and no ransom note, the Faraday siblings and their significant others quickly realize that he must have been taken for other purposes. After acquiring camera footage from the area where he was kidnapped, they pretty quickly come to the conclusion that the Marin Cartel is involved. Having been embedded with the cartel four years earlier when he was with the CIA, Casey is the natural choice to go in and locate his brother’s whereabouts. What no one, not even his family, knows is that when he left Colombia last he left his heart behind with his dead wife. Casey has no desire to step foot in the town where the last memory he has is searching through the surrounding countryside while the church where they married only hours before burned to the ground. But he’ll do it to save his brother.

When Ilda Almeida is given instructions to meet a man in the local hotel and to get him an in with Pipe, the head of the Marin Cartel, she has no idea that it’ll be her supposedly deceased husband who opens the door. The man she remembers as Casi clearly is someone else altogether, but her love for him is still alive even after all these years.

I loved this book, it’s probably my favorite of the series so far. It’s filled with ‘aha’ and ‘omg’ moments and even a few ‘I can’t believe they are doing this right now’ scenes. Not to say that I didn’t enjoy the first or the second book, I totally did, but it seems like everything that has led up to this point is working its way to something big as the series progresses. There is a lot going on, and with every new development I have to remind myself of all the players and what all happened in the previous installments, but it’s a wild ride that I love.

Crazed is told in present day, but also with a series of flashback memories from both Ilda and Casey’s POV. Their history is complicated, especially since Ilda had no idea Casey was working undercover four years ago. They met, fell in love and married in secret, then it all came crashing down. Each thought the other had died during a fire/gun battle between rival cartels and members of a task force rescuing hostages. Neither has really moved on, although Casey immediately quit the CIA and came fully into the Farady fold while Ilda… well I’m not going to get into what Ilda has been doing because that would be a huge spoiler and I wouldn’t do that to you guys. Just trust me when I say there is A LOT of angst, indecision, and grief. As well as plenty of sexytimes at completely inappropriate moments. Who knew Casey was so forceful or had such a dirty, dirty mouth. :)

I had a few frustrating moments when I wasn’t sure what would happen or why certain characters made the choices they did. Ilda certainly surprised me a time or two. Casey was obviously all in as soon as he realized his wife was still alive, but I’m not sure he exactly realized what that meant until the very end. This couple was crazy in love and stuck in a crazy situation that had me on the edge of my seat wondering what in the world would come next. With two more books in the series, I KNEW some plot threads would be left dangling and picked up in the fourth book, and I was right. Don’t worry, there is an HEA, but if you’re expecting all your questions to be answered you’ll end up disappointed. Something huge is coming, you can feel it with every conversation the Faradays have about past events and how they seem to all connect in some way.

Adam makes appearances throughout and if you didn’t love him before, you are guaranteed to fall hard this time around. He’s pretty awesome. In fact, the whole family shows up at some point throughout and I think one of my favorite things about this series is despite their differences and occasional difficult or volatile history they always manage to come together in whatever way the need to in order to protect their own.

Once again the epilogue left me with that OMG I WANT THIS NOW feeling. The wait for the fourth book in the series, Thrilled, which has a release date of October 17th, is going to be so, so hard. Final Grade- B+

P.S. Follow this link if you think you need a little brushing up on the series.

Received an arc copy of the title in exchange for an honest review.

The moment I saw the ARC for this title listed on NetGalley, I requested it. The previous books had gripped me; the Faradays are a clan that I just wanted to know more of. Granted, I sat on BLAMED for a while before picking it up, and read RIPPED mainly to see the issues that would arise when Tobias fell for the woman responsible for Beth's torture. I knew, however, that Casey Faraday's story would be a winner -- pretty much because he's the protective older brother.

I started reading this story right away.

I was not expecting the story I received.

As with the previous books, Edie Harris opens this book with an intriguing, heart-stopping, gut-clenching prologue with a scene that will take place well within the story. The last line of the prologue, though, definitely had me pausing, then frantically reading for more.

babyreading

Four years ago, Casey was undercover and infiltrated in Pipe's cartel. He'd fallen for the one woman he shouldn't have, but after months of sneaking off with her, she and Casey decided no more secrets. But before everything could come out, she died.

I loved the way Casey loved -- I loved his grief and his sense of loyalty. I enjoyed watching this big man fall, and loved watching him battle for what was right in his mind -- family first always, but there are some thin lines that bring forth questions.

Ilda was such a strong female. She definitely fought battles through the years and made choices to try and better the lives of those she cared most for.

I absolutely loved their story and watching them fight all the outside factors keeping them apart. Every part of their story, beginning to end, was lovely. Theirs is a love that I can't wait to see continue to grow through the series.

Outside of Ilda and Casey, though, we had more scenes with the entire Faraday clan. What I appreciated most with those scenes was watching how Chandler tried to fit into the family, how Tobias tried to include her, and how Beth still had her resentment. The things that Chandler and Beth have in their closet in regards to one another is not something that can be swept under a rug, and I loved that Edie Harris didn't do that. That is a relationship that cannot be forced, and Chandler becoming part of the family will not erase the past. Both Chandler and Beth are extremely strong women, and I do hope to see them accept one another, fully, at some point.

I also enjoyed the Quinns. While there are plenty of stories to be told with the immediate Faradays, I'm curious if Edie Harris will give the cousins stories too. I would certainly enjoy them, of that I have no doubt.

In the previous book, we got to know Adam as the youngest Faraday boy with a playboy mentality and quick wit -- we get to see more of that here, even though it is at times heartbreaking. We definitely get a fuller feel for Adam, and that man... My goodness gracious, I love him and have high hopes for his character. He may be the type of guy who uses humor and jokes, but his sense of family and selflessness... Made him so much more endearing.

Hands down, my favorite Faraday story (...but like I said, I have high hopes for Adam).

NOTE: This story can be read as a stand-alone; however, each story builds off the previous and there are items mentioned in this book that happen in the two previous. It is recommended to read the previous books before reading this one.

** When the youngest brother of the Faraday siblings is kidnapped the, Casey Faraday, the oldest of the siblings and former undercover spy, realizes he must go back into his undercover past to rescue his brother. Back into the middle of one of the most ruthless cartel in Colombia.

Things become complicated when Casey finds out the wife he thought died four years ago is not only alive, but engaged to the cartel boss who his holding his brother hostage. When old feelings resurface and secrets come out, Casey realizes it's not just his or his brother's life in danger. But he is the only one able to save his family.**

Crazed is the third book to the Blood Money series, and while it is a complete story of Casey and Ilda, I do suggest to read previous books to the series, Blamed (book 1) and Ripped (book 2). I was gifted an ARC of Crazed and while I have not read the two previous books this series (or any books from Edie Harris), not knowing the back story of Crazed secondary characters made me wonder what happened in their story, as it's brought up thru out this story. It gives the impression that once the series comes to an end, it'll all be connected some how.

It took me a little time to get into the story, but once I did, I could not stop reading. Crazed is about survival and doing what you need to stay alive in the world of ruthless cartels. Unforeseen problems kept coming up, so the story kept you guessing what will happen, what decisions will be made. The plot twists were well done and it didn't seem unbelievable or out of place.

Casey and the Faraday family is a tight knit group who will do anything for their family, even going above and beyond their own safety. With that said, I shouldn't have been surprised at how the mission ended, but yet, I was surprised at the bravery from the youngest of the Faraday siblings. He made a tough choice for Casey, but probably the best one. It was a perfect way to keep the series going.

Crazed is a well written suspense story, with the perfect addition of love, violence, loyalty, twists and turns. I am definitely going to go back and read the first two books to this series and I can't wait to read the next installment.

The third book in Harris’ Blood Money series (after Blamed and Ripped) continues the adventures of the Faraday family of military arms dealers, weapons developers and undercover agents. When the U.S. government needs a new and deadly secret weapon, they call the Faradays to build it for them. But after a few deals gone wrong and deadly, the family finally realizes that it isn’t mere coincidence - someone is after them, and from the inside. When youngest brother Adam is kidnapped in Boston and whisked away to cartel territory in Colombia, it is up to his older brother Casey to go back undercover in the Medellin cartels to discover where Adam is held. But Casey finds more than he bargained for, when the sins of his previous operation in Medellin come to light. The wife he believed was dead is alive, well and about to marry a major drug kingpin. And she has Casey’s daughter. The shock that the woman he mourned is alive and a DEA informant, and that he is a father, make Casey more than a little crazed as he tries to rescue everything he holds dear.

Verdict: Crazed is an edge of your seat thriller where even though the reader believes a happy ever after is in the offing, it is not until the very end that readers are finally able to figure out it might be possible. And even then there is bitter in the sweet, as Casey rescues his wife and child but is forced to leave his brother hostage for future rescue (and further stories in the series). The Blood Money series is an adrenaline-drenched romance where the line between the good guys and the bad guys is so thin that our heroes are forced to cross it in blood.

While the story in Crazed is compelling on its own, this is a series that rewards readers who start at the beginning of the saga.

Casey Faraday's undercover stint in Colombia 4 years ago had far-reaching consequences, the circumstances of which he hadn't fully realised until he returns to Colombia in search of his kidnapped younger brother: a wife whom he'd thought long dead but isn't and a daughter that he never knew he had. For Casey, what started as a mission to rescue Adam Faraday becomes something so much more than he ever thought it would be and in this high-stakes game of bartering and deception, he knows he has so much more to lose than he'd initially thought.

Casey's and Ilda's story admittedly wasn't as interesting (to me) as Beth's and Vick's had been, but I found 'Crazed' thoroughly absorbing for the larger dynamic of the Faraday family and their dealings: high-powered international deals mingling with shady mafia enforcement, corruption and weapons trading...in essence, everything that screams Mission Impossible or the Bond or Bourne series. Edie Harris's books are told as individual but interconnected action film sequences, with the romance written into each individual scene rather than a single story woven around two people coming together. Her characters cede their control - if that's even the right term - to the action, carried along by some overarching grand plan that spills over from book to book.

Events of the past play an indelible role (so jumping straight into book 3 might not be too good an idea) and Ms. Harris's plots and fantastic writing require at least, some sort of intelligence on the reader's part in piecing the connections and characters together, which I love - even if it sort of panders to my own (fragile) ego. It's what keeps me coming back, after all.

I was keeping an eagle eye out for the ARC of this book, having enjoyed books 1 & 2, Blamed & Ripped so very, very much. I mean, exactly how often can you read the phrase warmongering used both correctly and literally in a romance novel. But that's what the Faraday family is all about - War. From the assassin, to political and financial machinations, to spying and soldiering, to actual creation of the weaponry. This family deals in all aspects of War and Violence.

At the end of the previous book, the youngest brother was kidnapped right off the streets of Boston, leaving us with a bit of a cliffhanger wondering how the family would respond. This isn't his story. This is the eldest, Casey's story. We got to know him a bit in the first two books, mentioned alongside the other siblings. But now it's Casey's turn to take the driver's seat and show us what he's made of - sexy, scary things mostly.

Casey and Ilda's story was full of flashbacks, from both perspectives. It takes a while, but we find out the whys and hows to his believe she was dead. There was some misdirection involved here, and it took most of the book for the truth to come out. Her secret was what I figured it would be, no real surprise there. I was surprised by the main villain though, he managed to shock me in the end.

The series arc that was started in Blamed continues on, not really giving us much more to work with. I hope that sister Gillian's story will tell us more. I enjoyed this read and can't wait to read more about these unique Faraday siblings. I gave this book 4 stars.

Thanks to Netgalley and Carina Press for the opportunity to read and review this book.

Wow! This story was intense from start to finish. Casey and Ilda were just magnetic together. Despite their four year separation, they were immediately drawn together again. Their journey to each other was full of roadblocks, but Casey never waivered. I thoroughly enjoyed his character. He was fierce, protective, possessive, full of selflessness for his family, and dropped everything for them. Ilda was a beautiful woman, struggling to do what was right. She was so strong and so brave.

But the two characters who stole my heart in this book were Arlo and Adam. I need to know what happens to him. He just melted my heart with his sacrifice. The whole family has me intrigued for their stories. I need to go back and read the first ones in this series to know how each family member has survived their tragedies and what has shaped them into they are. I like that each story intertwines while giving each couple a happy ending and setting the stage for the next book. This was my first book to read by Edie Harris and I will go back to read the others. This is a stand alone story for Casey and Ilda, but a continuation of their family dilemma. So good.

For some reason this book just didn't click like the others and I am not sure why but about 63% into the book it picked up and I couldn't put the book down. Casey is the main sibling focused in this book but I loved how Edie Harris kept you updated on the rest of the sibling readers have already read about. Each book is connected building on each other until the reader is so invested you have to read each book more than once.
Crazed was one crazy ride that packs a punch from the second Casey sees he's dead wife to finding his kidnapped brother. The end of the book is a nail bitter with an expected cliffhanger if you have read any of the other Blood Money books.
Amazing Sex scenes, non stop action and moments of ahhh.
Crazed is a wonderful addition to the Blood Money Series and I can't wait to read more.

In Edie Harris's Crazed, the 3rd installment in the Blood Money romantic suspense, get ready to go above and beyond in this thrilling new novel. For Casey Faraday, he was a solider before a spy. And when his brother Adam was kidnapped, it took him back to Medellin Colombia. It wasn't an any ordinary rescue mission, when he discovered Ilda Almeida, his wife when he went undercover. From there, he learned the truth about his faux death and his daughter Arlo, when she thought he was dead. While she never recovered from seeing the shock, she was a double agent who worked to bring that Felipe down. Though the chemistry between them was smoldering hot and still there, he had a choice to rescue his wife or his brother. Stuck to choose between the two, he chose Ilda and Arlo and escorted back safe, while Adam was stuck in the trenches as a hostage to pay the ultimate price...

Crazed was one crazy ride. It is the second book in the series and although it is a standalone it is connected with the first book. This one particular is a Casey story. The writing was good and in most part were the dialogue fictionally written in Spanish which was in the way it was written hard to imagine. There are others POV beside of the main characters Ilda and Casey.
Both main characters were likable. After four years of mourning both Ilda and Casey realized that neither of them is death but very much alive. The secrets that were left unspoken are revealed this time. But this time they are both in much greater danger. Especially when is involved Arlo. The reason that brings them together is kidnaping Casey younger brother. But rescue doesn't happen in this book but is left for next.

My kind of book. Casey, the family's eldest child, CEO of the family company, and protector, has just found out that his brother Adam has been kidnapped and he is angry. His team is already on the ground within minutes getting any clue possible and Adam has left several but not much to go on for location.

After a family meeting and the company computer whiz they find what Casey never wants to know.....he is probably in Colombia, South America and he is going to have to go get him.

This journey is not what he expected. It gets more complicated by the second and the ride Harris takes its on will have you biting your nails.

Action, love. and perseverance are a great recipe for a fantastic book.

Crazed by Edie Harris is Book 3 in the Blood Money Series. Omg what a ride!! This is one edge of your seat reading adventure. So much action and suspense packed into one wonderfully written and executed book filled with well-developed and likeable characters. I couldn’t get enough. This is my first time reading this author’s work and I am loving the journey she takes her readers on; it’s amazing how she wrings every possible emotion out of us. While each book builds off the previous within the series, you can read this as a stand-alone, however I do highly recommend reading the series in book order.

Another good addition to the series with an enjoyable storyline set in Columbia with flawed heros and nice bad guys. However I had to take off half a star for the danger boner (who has sex with a drug lord's fiancé on his property while trying to be silent and balanced on the edge of a cliff) and for danger child-quality-time (why endanger a mother, a daughter and a mission just to play dinosaurs with a three year old). I'm hooked enough to preorder the next one.

This is the second story I read of the series and while the other was good, this one was even better! The plot is engaging and interesting. The characterization was strong and used unique elements that set each one apart well. Ilda was kick@$$ and Casey was sexy as hell. I enjoyed this very much :-p

I didn't really care for the romantic aspect of this novel. The scenario that was set up was rife with way too much melodrama. Plus, I didn't care for either lead character. That being said, I'm still really interested in the mystery/unknown villain overlapping the series and want to read the next one.

Intense, exciting, gritty. Casey is sexy as fuck, and much deeper than you'd think from his tough soldier exterior. Loved the passion of his relationship with Ilda. The suspense aspect was really well done, and the ongoing mystery of the helicopter, the mole, etc. has me guessing. I feel like this series gets better with each book.

I'm not sure about this one for a number of reasons.
1. Why does someone always get kidnapped in these books?
2. Why did the hero's grief have to be a big secret?
3. What's with all the danger/risk sex?
I'll probably continue because I'd like to know the big reason behind the overarching plot.

So very fun and nicely executed. Also brilliantly sets up the stage for the last two novels. I just love this family.
