Dean and Liv have come a long way...
Arrive is a beautifully written short story about one of my favorite couples ever. It's also a very heated yet tender look into the lives of Dean and Liv while Liv is dealing with the joys and anxieties that occur during a pregnancy. Dean is the expected perfect husband and strong shoulder to lean on who supports Liv whenever and wherever he can. It is also proof that being pregnant and pursuing an erotically-charged and passionate sex life are not mutually exclusive.
Some of their naughty dialogue wasn't meant for innocent baby ears, for sure…
“Never again doubt your own sex appeal.”
“Fuck me like that regularly and I won’t.”
“Such language from the pregnant lady?” Amusement flashes behind the satisfaction in his eyes. “Haven’t I been fucking you good for the past six years?”
“Yeah, you do all right.”
I don't tell you anything new when I say that a professor in medieval history makes for one wonderfully romantic combo. Dean always seems to say the right thing at the right moment and is melting many a reader's heart.
A smile tugs at his mouth. “Can I tell you something?”
“Sure.”
“I have had two great loves in my life.”
“Um.” My heart stutters a little. “Two?”
“The first is you,” he says. “You’re the most important. The one I can’t live without.”
“Who’s the second?”
“Medieval studies.” He shrugs. “I know it’s not like being a brain surgeon or research scientist. In the grand scheme of things, the relative importance of iconoclastic aesthetics is probably not all that high. But when I went on my first archeological dig and started unearthing objects from hundreds of years ago… it was like I was connecting through time with people who didn’t want to be forgotten. Like I had a duty to them.”
“And that was it?”
“That was it. Since then, I never once looked back. Never wanted to.” He brushes his thumb across my mouth. “Same thing happened with you, Mrs. West.”
Oh, Lord. I’m melting.
I love seeing men getting so emotional and being so awe-struck by a tiny wonder like a newborn. Dean is going to be a wonderful, encouraging and protective dad.
Bottom line
Arrive is a must read for every fan of this fantastic couple! Nina's timing is great because it's also a feel good tidbit that fits right into a special time of the year: Christmas is around the corner and we all love getting small gifts that come from the bottom of the heart.

Oh, how I missed Professor West! Clearly, I have forgotten how amazing he is.
That's right, I might have schwinged once or twice or even more times. Because what can be better than a hero who is intelligent, caring, tender, hot as f***, and generally a-dream-come-true not only husband but also best friend. If you add a naughty sense of humour, you have it all.
So, if you loved Spiral of Bliss series, you can't miss this little bonus from Nina Lane. If you haven't, just try it and I guarantee you will fall head over heels for this couple and will want to read the series immediately.

5+ "beauty +2" Stars!
Ok, I am so freaking happy to have found this new novella about one of my favourite couples: Dean and Olivia West. Arrive belongs to the Spiral of Bliss series and it gives the readers a look to the Wests having their first baby, Nicholas.
I loved every damn word. LOVED IT. Dean is perfect. He is sweet, he is romantic, he is SO FREAKING HOT. I love that he calls Liv his beauty and the amazing relationship that they have. These two together have some very sweet, very funny and very smokin' moments.
“I think you have a pregnant woman fetish.”
“The only thing I have is an Olivia West fetish.” He smiles, his eyes darkening with both heat and tenderness.
And, at the end, when they have baby Nicholas with them, OMG I was practically crying of happiness!! So freaking cute, seriously!! I loved to read their start as parents and how they beautiful it is to watch them fall more in love after Liv's birth.
“You, me, and now three, beauty,” he says.
“We’re a trio.” I smile. “Three sides, like a triangle. Isn’t a triangle the strongest shape in the universe?”
“According to mathematicians and scientists, maybe,” Dean says. “Not according to me.”
“So according to Professor West,” I ask, “what’s the strongest shape in the universe?”
“A heart.”
See? I am in love <3333 So, obviously (for me), Arrive deserves my especial rating. 5+ STARS, so very well done and deserved, Nina Lane! I mean, if you have not read this novella or this series, PLEASE DO! You will not regret it, it is so beautiful! I totally recommend!! :D

Creative...that's what Dean is, no two ways about it and patient! I was definitely happy with that.
Normal...Liv certainly covers this in all ways. I'm sure most women will be able to relate to so many things she goes through.

I absolutely adored this Novella. Dean and Olivia (Liv/Beauty) are one of my all time favorite couples. Arrive is a perfect addition to Spiral of Bliss series and is a must read if you're a fan too!

‘No longer will I harbor any regrets or sorrow about the past. How can I when my past let me to this present?’
Arrive takes place toward the end of Awaken which provides a window into a very special moment in the Wests’ life and to say our hearts were in romantic overload is an understatement! Dean and Liv have certainly weathered a rocky path to arrive at this point in their relationship but they’ve come through with a profound soul searing love and passion we’ve come to love them for.

I am so glad to be visiting Mirror Lake again with 'Arrive'. I have missed Liv and Dean. Theirs was the first novel I read about a married couple where real life was the cause of their problems. This series is refreshing and beautiful written.
Dean and Liv are having a baby! In this novella, we see Liv toward the end of her pregnancy. For those of you who have had children, you might remember the joys of that time? HA! All the fears, all the excitement, the strange pains, food cravings? Liv and Dean experience them all. The worries about getting too fat and not being attractive anymore in the eyes of your husband? Yeah, Nina Lane portrays this time perfectly and beautifully!
Oh Dean, how I love thee, let me count the freaking ways! He is the ultimate BH! He is full of love for Liv and will do anything to keep her happy, healthy and safe. And as any good professor, he dives head first into learning all about pregnancy and birth!

I love this couple. Honestly, I will never get enough of Professor Dean. And whenever he whispers ..."my beauty", I just freaking melt. Dean's sexier than ever and Liv's character continues to show more and more confidence and strength. Please, please, PLEASE Nina Lane, I need more Dean West.

There's something about this author's writing that sucks me in every single time. Although this is a novella, the way she wrote it was so detailed and intricate and complex that it read like a full-length novel.
I loved seeing Professor Dean West and his Beauty, Liv. This was a funny, short glimpse of how they handled both their pregnancy and the arrival of baby Nicolas. It was interesting how their characters remained consistent (Dean writing everything down while Liv seemed a bit lost lol). Through it all, their love was still as strong as ever.

I was so delighted when I got a newsletter with a FREE novella of my most favourite couples! I ADORE this series and I can read Dean and Liv's story forever. This is how much I love it!
This novella is beautiful, not to mention it is smoking hot and it makes me fall in love with the characters all over again. Man...Dean is my favourite hero of all time, he is hot, passionate, funny, caring, smart and what a sweet husband he can be. I wish I'll find my Dean. Liv is also a great character with a good heart.
It's so good to catch up with them, I will never get enough of their story and if you haven't read this series yet, I highly recommend it.

This short novella takes place before the epilogue of Awaken. The third book. It's all about the pregnancy and how Liv and Dean are preparing themselves to be parents.
It captures the essence of Dean and Liv perfectly. I loved Deans perfectionism and how attentive he was of Liv. I loved Liv's blooming love towards her unborn child. But most of all I loved Dean and Liv. How they went from two to three in this beautiful family. It was sweet, funny, sexy but most of romantic as hell. The Spiral of Bliss series has recently gone from being a trilogy to a five-book series, a situation that's been known to evoke strong reactions from readers. As for me, I haven't decided yet whether or not to continue with the Liv & Dean story, and Arrive only made me more indecisive.
Arrive is a novella the author generously gifted her newsletter subscribers. It's perfect for the biggest Liv & Dean fans who wish to read more about their happiness, or wish to know how Liv's pregnancy went, or both, because that is exactly what the novella is about: Dean and Liv being in love, happy, and pregnant. Plus, sex. There were a lot of pages of that. And I was bored by it all. To be perfectly frank, some of the expressions used in the erotic scenes made me roll my eyes.
I like to consider myself one of those people who read the Spiral of Bliss series and fell in love with it, but the truth is not all books in it were exactly to my liking. Reading Arrive reminded me why book three was my least favorite part of the series: having to read about a couple's near perfect happiness is not something I find interesting. I enjoyed very much Arouse and Allure where Liv and Dean were resolving their issues; it is the nauseatingly happy part of their relationship I wish they'd keep off page.
Not all was a bust. By the end there were some sweet scenes with baby Nicholas. The rest, well, I could've lived without.
BUT, don't mind me. I'm the odd one here. If you loved reading about professor West and Liv, go for it.

5 PLUS Stars.......
OK, this is hands down one of my ALL TIME Favorite Series EVER..... I mean I cannot get enough of Professor Hottie....just thinking about him, this story I get all giddy:) Dean and Liv have had the most beautiful and amazing journey ever!!!!!!! I beg you if you have not read this series, do yourself a HUGE favor and grab it, it's just so ahhhhh......not enough words for me to express my emotions, my feelings, my utter and complete love of this couple!!!!! I am not a re-reader BUT this series is definitely my exception!

I really liked Arouse and Allure in this series. However, Awaken disappointed me. I was hesitant to read this one, but it was free - so I picked up a copy from the author's website. I'm glad I read it as it reminded me a little bit of what I liked about the first 2 books. There is more interaction between Dean and Liv (interaction, not sex) that I'm giving it 4 stars. I read quite a bit and don't mind erotica. I don't like books without plot and just sex scene after sex scene. The author writes great character interaction and I expected better from her after books 1 and 2. Nice to catch up with Dean and Liv as they prepare for the birth of their child.
