Story was pretty good. Characters were good. One thing that almost set me nuts was the repeated phrase "Gage Alexander CEO" practically every time Amber referred to or thought about Gage. I didn't like his original treatment of the situation from their shared past. He acted too much like a bully hen he came to her dance studio. He mellowed and I did enjoy both of them more by the end of the story. I liked how much Mar and Blake were a part of this book. The suspense in this one was better than in the first book. Overall good book and I would like to continue the series. I'm hoping for a Blaze book...he sounds yummy, too!

ARC provided in exchange for honest review.

I really want to meet this Cage Alexander in person because his making me want to slap him (in the beginning)!!! but thank GOD finally he realize his feeling

I liked Amber Prescott personalty. She such a strong, independent, fierce woman, and let her mind out thorough her mouth. What she felt is what she said.

For me, i think the scene between a woman with a gun is very little, so that the peak of story is just flat for me

I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

The writing in this second book flows much better than the first. However, the author tried to instill some angst into the story and it became too much back and forth between the characters.

This new author is showing improvement and I would read more from her as this is a series of quick reads and is getting better.

Against other reviews, I didn't received for free this book, so my review wouldn't be sugarcoated.
Good, really good, much better than the first book.
BUT all this "Gage Alexander, CEO"... at first I thought author tried to made it like some sarcastic comment, but when Amber think about him to herself in that way it's just weird. Maybe it's so important for readers to know he is CEO but why, whyyy author used it every time? It looks like she thinks readers have small brain and actually dumb shit to remember that little quirk. My mood changed from passive to aggressive, I don't like it.
I really like Amber character, she's so strong but soft underneath. And I like evolution of Gage character, first he is a bully, then he actually finds his brain, and next he is sweet. Nice, really nice!
