Audrielle never imagined the next time she came face to face with Cairo, he'd have some news that would literally tear her heart into a million pieces. With nothing else to do but move on, will letting go of Cairo be an easy task for Audri, or will an old flame be there to help her get over it?
Cairo can't wait for the unholy matrimony agreement he and Alex have to be over. The look on Audris face when she found out that he married his super model looking ex, was enough to break the strongest man down. All Cairo wants to do is collect his money, get a divorce, and finally be with the plus size beauty who stole his heart. When lies are still being told, truths are still being hidden, and devious schemes are brought into fruition, can the love Cairo and Audrielle have for each other get past it all, or is it to late to try and save something that might not want to be saved?

So Good

This was a follow-up to a story that took off with a bang, and the next installment comes in with as much boom. This was such a good story and I think one of the reasons why is that the writer does something not many do and that's gives her characters some realism.By saying this I mean at some point we say enough, let's start acting like adults. You are getting a much more rounded story where you are getting better insight on the characters. The telling of the story is moving at an easy clip to where you are not getting a dull moment.A good all around story, that ends in a cliffhanger this is where the screaming starts.

What can I say? Book was amazing. Jumping in where book one left off. I pray for a HEA. They sure deserve it! Great book. Great characters including the bad ones. Looking forward to reading the next installment.

While reading this book, Audrielle’s pregnancy threw me for a loop for a minute. I was expecting her to have one baby, not two! In addition to that, I’m so glad she finally put her mother in her place. I was so irritated while I read through certain parts of Part I because her mother was so insulting and taking jabs at her and she just took it. But Mama Audrielle has finally found her voice. Or rather been pushed to the point to where she had to just tell her mother off in a nice way.

Alex is still as nutty as ever. She just can’t seem to accept that Cairo doesn’t love her. She shouldn’t have ever married him knowing he didn’t truly love her. Money can buy a lot of things but love is not one of them. Someone either loves you or they don’t. Instead, Alex could’ve been spending her time with a man who actually loves her and knows she exists. You can’t make somebody, love you. They either do or they don’t.

It seems as though Cairo and Audrielle can’t catch a break. Just when things are looking up for them, Alex does the unthinkable. She actually kidnaps one of Audrielle and Cairo’s babies! Luckily, she didn’t harm the baby in any way. She did get her just desserts, but knowing Alex she’ll probably try to break out of prison. I recommend this series to any and everyone. I cannot wait until book 3 is in paperback so I can read it, too.

Part 2 is included in the paperback

While I loved the story, I am a little upset that ebooks 1 and 2 are actually the entire version or part 1 in paperback. So it seems that I've paid an additional 2.99 for a part that I have in the original paperback. Again I love the story and will purchase book 3 to read the conclusion, I just wished there had been more clarity when I one clicked on book 2.

Intriguing...

This just keeps getting better I can't wait until we find out this bitter birch Alex isn't having Cai's babe, at least I hope shes not. Hopefully love will prevail in the end and Audri will get her happily ever after!

Whoa

This book got me really caught up in my feelings. It continues from Cairo and Audri's established relationship. Then brings light to the hoops and drama they jump thru to be together. The villian of this story made me wanna fight. Anytime you read a story and you know it's a story yet you talking to the book and cussing this your story. Ms. Woods knows how to get you and bring you in deep. It's so amazing how the story has multiple characters and you are in all their lives. You jump from character to character and back again. They all weave together for a great storyline.

A little disappointed.
The wait was entirely too long for this book, I hope the wait for the next one will be shorter. Either way I'll wait.]
Drama, drama, drama!!!
Cairo and Audri belong together! (I'm waiting for greedy Alex & her greedy father to die or go to jail, getting found out is not enough.)
I liked reading different points of view of some of the characters. I also liked the grandmothers, they don't have filters, which I find hilarious.
Some of Cairo's biological family seem like they're from the street (unrealistic, didn't expect that) and that damn Marjorie... grrr, she went way too far! His father seems kinda soft. I knew Ness was going to have a problem with baby-mama and best friend. He better watch it if he wants to keep Ari. Is he crazy she was just a one night stand, not a love thing.
Audri is kind of weak in part 2. Aah that dinner, I can not believe she sat there without saying a word and just took it. I understand (kind of) her allowing her b~t~h of a mother to disrespect her, but to allow Marjorie, no, no, no. I get that Audri is nice and sweet, but come on!
Alex and her father, I can't wait for the secrets to come out,(LOL!) I wonder who's really the father of Alex's baby. I know it's not Cairo!
The story was good, not as good as book 1 and not as good as I expected, also a little too short. I loved the ending though. After this series I guess I'll look into some of her other work.
Genesis Woods keep up the good work and thanks, this series is entertaining.

I gave this book five stars because it really deserve six , I've been waiting on the second installment of this series and was not disappointed at all ,I love Auri and Cairo Tumultuous relationship and how all the forces try to keep them apart really bring them one step closer to see what's really important. The book kept me up bitten my nails and staying up past my bedtime. This book is a MUST READ , please don't make me wait a whole year for the next part

What an ending!!!

Been over Alex family & her "friends"looking forward for the secrets to come out, all for some money. I need some background on Cai mom & dad too! Cai & Audri are totally cute!!! Ness better get his attitude in check about Rima and Rod. They seem into each other. Ari gotta let go out her insecurities Rima don't want Ness ass! Love the grandmothers that are tots awesome!!! What an ending tho!!!

Stay On Point!

I LOVED the second installment of "Black Love." I'm really into the turmoil that Cairo and Audri have been through and am rooting HARD for them. That being said, WHY were others, who really contributed NOTHING of any significance to the story, constantly in the forefront? I could care less about Ari and Ness, or Rima and Roderick. Please stick to the story! But I still loved it!

More angst and drama for this couple. Cairo's wife Alex schemes to make sure he doesn't leave her for the plus size beauty, Audrielle. You know what happens, scenes of push and pull and misunderstandings that can easily be cleared up if both parties communicated. However, the cliffhanger for Book 2 was jaw-dropping and earns an extra 1/2 star. MY RATING: 3.5 STARS Be Warned: Slang, Profanity & Typos Abound.

Still a cliffhanger.

Somethings were expected. This time not as anxious about reading book 3 like I was for book 2. I do believe Mrs. Woods is a good writer with great potential. Just a little less predictable. I still enjoy the characters. Audi is relatable, and the love that her and Cai share.

Really!

Really though!!! Did I just read this without knowing that I would be left hanging or did I know and didn't care? I was quite surprised by book 1 and didn't know what to expect in book 2, well it was great. We pick up with the drama that is Cai and Audri and all the other characters. Can't wait for the next book because the cliff hanger is crazy.

I was really looking forward to the second and am curious about the third. However, something changed in the characters. While the storyline is rich in content, it is missing depth. Mrs. Woods has potential to become one of the greats but stop writing to an outline and draw out the content more. Still excited to see what you will do in the future.

Oh yasss!!

Part two ends where one left off. Alex is still up to no good and she is determined to make Cai's life a living hell.

I am thankful that Cai has been introduced to his bio family. Mama Faye had been wonderful to her boss, but why did she keep so many secrets from them?

Audri and Cai ended this installment right! Girl you got my mouth hanging open! Can't wait for part three!!!

Black Love White Lies 2

Audri is losing weight, but is still heavy and is still being ridiculed by her mother. Finding out that Cairo is married and expecting a child, leaves her open to her conniving ex-husband. What will Cairo find out about his conniving wife and father-in-law? Will he and Audri get back together?

Better than the first

This was a cool read, better than the first one to me. It answered some of the questions I wanted answered from the first one , and a few more. I still think that certain characters and scenes could be more descriptive, but for the most part it was a good read.
