This author used the word tapped too much. The story had a good premise but dragged. She cried too often. Drank red wine a lot but when at a restaurant acted like she didn't know anything. Don't have to read any time soon.

The storyline was decent but didn't seem well researched. Apparently the President just sits in his office all day and has no real opinions about anything. The plot probably would have worked better had he'd been a CEO or something. I also got gold digger vibes from Amanda. She was so concerned about her image, even though she slept her way to her current position and didn't think twice about doing it again. THEN she wants to talk about morals and ethics as if she's an innocent party. The sex scenes were... not good. I don't know if the author was trying to insert some light BDSM or if she honestly thought what she wrote was sexy, but I cringed a few times at the try-hard of it all.

DNF. It was so bad I just couldn't keep going. I wanted to give it a shot, but it was so poorly researched, so unrealistic, and so insanely stupid I had to stop. I actually started to dread having to read more of it, so I just can't keep going. I get suspension of disbelief and all, but there was not a single plausible thing in this entire book. Has the author ever been to DC? If so, did she visit once take a white house tour and decided to write a book about it? Does she not know a single thing about how the gov't works and what activities are legal and illegal to do while on the job and in a federal building? I just can't.

GREAT!

This was a very interesting book. It first I said what in the world is this all about? Then it started to get interesting with that nut Jason. Then with her friend from years ago she started to hang with. I was so happy when Jason got what he deserved. I was especially glad when Amanda and Xavier finally got to be together and not in secret. I recommend this book to all romance readers.

Okay read

I found the storyline a little weak, the main character Amanda was supposed to be this amazingly strong woman who was blazing a trail in a male dominated environment but she comes over as an incredibly weak person even the romantic scenes somehow seemed lack lustre, not one that held me captivated at all.

Brilliant

Love this series it even though it's a non-fiction romance books. Is nice to imagine what goes behind the walls of the White House and president of United States.

OK first impression after reading Part 1? This is basically the plot of the TV show Scandal.
