In the early years of the twentieth century, a young boy and his foster sister died. Their souls did not pass into Heaven, however, and the two young spirits waited patiently for their mother to come to them. Even though Rosemary Sullivan-McGinty couldn't see her dead son and foster daughter, her mother's intuition convinced her that they were still close at hand. She pined day in and day out, for her lost little ones, and she refused to leave the farmhouse.Rosemary died in 1940 and the old farmhouse in which their family lived - and died - would soon be abandoned. It has been empty since then. Now, one hundred years after the children died, their story is being told. Rosemary found a way, and through her beyond-the-grave collaboration with Sophie, the children were rescued from their farmhouse. This is the story of a mother's undying love for her children - and how that power reached far beyond the grave to help them find their way back to her on the other side.Author Jo Macleod has shaped this fictional tale around her own life experiences. This is their story, based on the true events of their spirit rescue.
I started the book in July 2010 and finished it in March 2011. We then went through several months of changes and update, deciding on the front and back pages for publishing etc., it was finally released at the end of October 28 2011 to the public. I have many reviews online at Chapters, Amazon and IUniverse and hope soon that people will buy it as an ebook. I am getting ***** star reviews from those who have taken the time to write a review. I thank everyone who reads this story as it validates the little girl's life over and over every time someone learns about her life. It is presently on sale online via IUniverse and several other online outlets including Amazon and Chapters. It is also available at Morgan Creek branch of Save on Foods in softcopy format, as my first venue to test the water so as to speak. I wish it well on its way.
This book was everything I expected and more. The Author managed to capture the spirit Ireland and the lifestyle of the Irish at that time in history. I was completely drawn in and I felt like I was observing and reliving the past. The author went into great detail about the lack of material goods and the hardships that people of that era endured physically, mentally and spiritually. It’s no wonder that some spirits get confused and “stuck” on earth. I loved the ending and I felt a peace within me when the unsettled spirits of Fin and & Rosie and the many others found their way to “the light” It’s a powerful thing when so many spirits on both sides team together in meditation or prayer to bring about changes. We need to remember that in today’s turbulent times.
This is an excellent book for anyone interested in the history of Ireland and the esoteric science of death and dying. Description of all characters and settings is very well done. It also has an intuitive impact for readers already acquainted with spirit rescues. It deserves a good read!
