This book is better than the first and I would actually give the book 4.5 jellybeans aka stars. The issue with the first book was it slowed down during the second half do to all the letters from the protagonist's mother. The second book in the series doesn't have this issue. I enjoyed the plot a lot more too the pace flowed a lot more evenly then the first. I found that Sara aka Sapphire was a lot more like-able in this book she had a lot of character development since the first one. The world created that Sapphire is navigating in this book is enchanting. I love the mythos crafted by Alica it's charming. Overall I really enjoyed the read and can not wait for the third book. This series has me hooked and I would recommend to anyone who loves YA, Mythology, and/or paranormal book series!!

A wonderful read and a very good follow-up to the Phoenix Child. New characters are introduced and the bond between all the Children of Fire seems to strengthen with Sapphire (Sara) leading the group (with obviously a bit of bickering amongst them 😂) & obviously there's our beautiful unicorn who is being a bit less of a snob. Over all there's a great character development in the protagonist. And why should we forget the beautiful architectural description of South America where they resided this time and the beautiful and luscious Amazons. And then there comes the Mayan God who is actually the brother of Shamash. Yes there will be more of the family history of Babylon going to be revealed and also that of Sapphire's parents and what exactly might have happened which lead to their death.

Legacy starts out with a bang and doesn't stop. Alica capitalizes on the momentum from the Phoenix Child and doesn't stop!

Interesting

Good book once you get past the odd placement of Quetzalcoatl in South America. Otherwise it is interesting with all the magic beings.
